Le négatif mag is not about technique or equipment on film photography, you can find plenty of that elsewhere, instead we focus only on Artistic expression through analog photography. You can get inspiration, discover new Artists, follow your favorite photographers, and also submit your own photos. We feature each month the best contemporary photography that is still made on Film. Le négatif magazine is read by approximately 5000 readers each month, in over 120 countries. Our only purpose is to celebrate Art, life and film photography. Each year we publish “le negatif book” , a printed collection of the best from the past 12 issues. If you share our passion, you are welcome to join le négatif. Hello film lovers!
This is our 24th issue wich marks our second birthday! In the last 24 months we have tried to give you the best selection of photos made on film. We are proud we had the chance to meet very interesting photographers this year, giving them the possibility to share their artistic vision with the readers of this magazine. Le negatif marks 2.097.145 total readers with this issue.for an indipendent magazine like us that is a really big number. le negatif was selected by issuu.com as: visual inspiration for the month of may. we are glad that we have contributed to expose some really good photography works to such a vast number of readers.
24 issues
our goal is simple but not easy, each issue takes a lot of hard work and time. keeping both the magazine and the site ads free. we pay each month for hosting fees and issuu plus account, to make this magazine as enjoyable as possible for the readers. Fragment #1 – dialogue - How much courage do you need to get out on to the street? What do you know about this? - I know I get up quite nicely in the morning and go outside. - How? - Easy. I get up and go out. There’s nothing to it. - Did you know that there are people who do not go out on the street? - You’re tiring me. Fragment #2 – soliloquy You know, I wake up in the morning. I do not know how to stretch. I have no place. (pulsate) from my hibernation)) I spread my arms, but I don’t stretch, in fact. My face is somewhere in me. I do not know if anyone sees it. I do not know if anyone notices me. You understand what I am saying? The world is in structures. (I find an accurate copy) this time I’m gonna - The photographs I took are for the graduate work of Ivana Stojanović for the performance of Tristan Tzara “The gas heart”, inspired by Dadaism. Geometrical costumes with the repeating of the same element in order to explain the absurdity of the art direction.
