Air Diffusers Fixed Plate Swirl Diffusers Introduction KMC Fixed Plate Swirl Diffusers have radial outlets which produces a high induction radial pattern generated by individual radial slots cause swirl air supply with high coanda effect and also reduces the stratification. These diffusers are ideal for exposed duct, especially VAV applications.

Application • The design of the vanes and its radial arrangement in the diffuser cause swirl air supply with a coanda effect, which provides a high level of induction rate of the air in the atmosphere and reducing the stratification. • Model VCTS swirl diffusers can be mounted in false ceilings or suspended. • The special high induction swirl effect enables a significant number of air changes. • The very shallow inflow pattern also makes the diffuser suitable for somewhat lower spaces.

Product Features • Their sectored vanes emit a uniform air flow all over the passage section. • VCTS series diffusers admit a flow variation of 60% keeping the air stream stable. • VCTS diffusers can be used in premises from 2.6 – 4.0 meters high and a temperature differential up to 12ºC • Powder Coated to RAL 9010 as standard

Dimensions

Selection Procedure Selections can be made by means of a straight read-off from the “Performance Data” for the selected model. • Determine the air volume flow rate per outlet. • Establish the required Throw (Refer Notes for Throw Pattern) • Select the diffuser based on required Air flow rate against the limiting pressure drop and sound level requirements.

The dimensions are given in mm Connection “D” is actual O.D. The face size of models 250, 350 and 450 are 295, 395 and 495 mm respectively overall. As such these models fit in a Tee-bar modular ceiling with a respective size of 300, 400 and 500 mm

Product Selection Check List • Select Unit size based on desired performance characteristics. • Select unit type based on desired throw, and room layout. • Select Finish.

Throw Correction Factors Throw figures are based on 0.25 m/s end velocity. In case other end velocities are required correct according to table

Notes : The throw applies to flush fitting into a flat ceiling T - Throw in meters Ps - Static pressure drop in Pa The adopted room absorption is 10 dB. Sound pressure level Lp in dB(A).
