About us
Hyatt Magazine is a free social and cultural magazine, featuring events, entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, business, leisure, and lore. “Hyatt” in Arabic Language means Life. Its events and news guide targeting heavy populated Middle-Eastern community in Chicagoland area and soon in Michigan. Hyatt Magazine targets are to establish and strengthen Middle-Eastern social and cultural aspects and to connect the Middle-Eastern communities together. Furthermore, Hyatt Magazine is assisting in building bridges with other communities socially and economically. Hyatt Magazine published monthly to promote coverage area in an informative and positive manner, and it’s distributed throughout the area by Direct Mailing and placed in key locations. You’ll find the magazine enlightening and have interesting articles are written by someone like yourself, who cares about the community. We welcome contributions of articles, events, recording, photos, and videos; however, they will be subject to editing and availability of space and subject matter. The 10th Annual Chicago International Fashion Show was held on December 1st, 2019. The event took place at Palmer House Hilton in Downtown Chicago. Many great different fashions were exhibited in the event.

The Aquarius loves a party. Anytime, anywhere is their motto. It is not unlikely that an Aquarius will consider a wake a good place to meet chicks. Aquarians are the only people in the zodiac who can play volleyball with themselves. And they frequently do. Aquarians use
the phrase “Dude, man...” frequently when describing philosophical concepts. Aquarians have out-ofbody experiences on a daily basis. If you are talking to an Aquarian and he or she zones out, consider the conversation hopeless. He or she is talking to the guy three feet away from you. Aquarians are fun because they channel people. They can also walk on water if they try really really hard. This usually happens in the bathtub. Aquarians can allow themselves every possible vice on the planet, and don’t think twice about it. That is why they piss everyone else off. They are cosmically entitled to do this. Most rock stars are Aquarians.

Cook County Treasurer Christmas Party On December 6th, 2019 the Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas held her Annual Christmas party in Downtown Chicago. Many people from different ethnicities attended the event. The room was surrounded by Christmas trees. Each Christmas tree was dĂŠcored with a theme from a different country. It was a joyful and cheerful night at the Cook County Treasurer Christmas Party.

Phoenician Club’s Event On December 7th, 2019 the Phoenician Club of Chicago held their annual Christmas party. The event took place at Crystal Place Banquet in Mount Prospect, IL. A few awards were given that night. The Humanitarian of the year was award given to Dr. Rania Agha. The Man of the Year award was given to ProtoDn. Antoine Shehata and the Woman of the Year award was given to Tonia Khouri.

A senior citizen drove his brand new Mercedes to 100 mph, looking in his rear-view mirror, he saw a police car behind him. He floored it to 140, then 150, ... then 170, ... Suddenly he thought, “I’m too old for this nonsense!” So, he pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the police car to catch up with him. The officer walked up to him, looked at his watch and said: “Sir, my shift ends in ten minutes. Today is Friday and I’m taking off for the weekend. If you can give me a good reason that I’ve never heard before for why you were speeding. I’ll let U go.” The Man looked very seriously at the police man, and replied: “Years ago, my wife ran off with a policeman, I thought you were bringing her back.”!!! The Cop left saying, “Have a good weekend, Sir”

World Arabica Language Day On December 18, 2019 the World Arabic Language day was hosted by the Saudi Clubs and NIIMS. The celebration took place at ICCI. The event had many speeches for the historical Arabic manuscripts show, arabic fonts and calligraphy booth and original Andalusian music show.

RECIPE: Mandi Mandi Recipe, Simple and Creative: 6-8 servings. Ingredients: 3 cups basmati rice (washed and soaked in water for 10 min), 2 lbs chicken legs, 3-4 tomatoes (diced), 3-4 onions (diced), 2 dried lemons, 6 Tbs veg. oil, 2 Tbs red pepper paste, 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional), 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 2 Tbs ginger/garlic paste, 1/2 tsp cloves, 1/2 tsp ginger, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cardamom, 2 Tbs raisins, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 3 Tbs chicken base, & 1 tsp saffron.
In a bowl, marinate chicken with a mixture of 1 Tbs ginger/garlic paste, 1 Tbs red pepper paste, 2 Tbs oil, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp pepper, & 1/2 tsp salt. Then, slice 2 onions & tomatoes & place into an oven safe pan. Add 2 Tbs oil & 1/2 cup water. Add the chicken to the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 400ÂşF for about 55 min. Meanwhile, heat 3 Tbs oil in a pot, then sautĂŠ 2 diced onions. Add 1 Tbs garlic/ginger paste, 3 Tbs chicken base, 2 diced tomatoes, 2 dried lemons, 1/4 tsp of cloves, cinnamon, & cardamom. Add 1/2 tsp pepper & 6 cups water. Bring to boil then add rice. Cover & cook for 30 min. Mix 1 tsp saffron in 4 Tbs boiling water. Add to rice 5 min before done. Place chicken pieces on top of rice. Place a small heat-proof bowl in middle of rice & pour 2 Tbs of oil in bowl. Place hot coal in bowl of oil & cover pot for few min. For sauce, blend tomatoes & onions that were cooked with chicken in oven along with 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar & 1/2 tsp salt. Then add 2 Tbs chopped parsley. Place rice & chicken in a serving platter. Decorate with toasted pine nuts, almonds, & pistachios. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top. Serve with sauce. Enjoy! By Dr Anas Nahhas.
