Surgery May Not Be The Answer For Your Back Pain with Dr. Suwan Back pain is not a diagnosis, it’s a symptom. Back pain affects 80% of Americans at some time in their lives. It is the number one cause of disability related to work accidents. It comes in many forms such as lower back, upper back pain, neck pain, and sciatica . The pain may be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Common back pain causes include, bulging discs, pinched nerves and pulled muscles that are commonly related to back injuries. Less
commonly it could be an alerting symptom to other underlying serious medical conditions, such as infections and tumors. Injuries are the most common cause of back pain, frequently occurring when the back is used in strenuous activities, particularly work related activities. Work related accidents that may cause back injury include heavy lifting, tripping, falling, or excessive twisting of the spine, falls from significant heights, direct blows to the back or the top of the head, a high-energy fall onto the buttocks. Occupations that are physically demanding and require repetitive
lifting are at greatest risk for both non-accidental and accidental back injury. Severe back injuries may also result from car accidents. Back injuries might cause physical limitations depending on the area of the back and the severity of the injury. Physical limitations may include and are not limited to limitations with standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, driving, and walking. Arab Idol Stars

On April 17, 2015, Event R Us (Mike Dib) hosted an event for the top two winners in the Arab Idol Season 3 Star, Hazem Sharif and Haitham Khalayla at the Al Hambra Palace Restaurant. Doors opened at 8pm and many of Middle Eastern people especially from Syria and Palestine lined up for the great singers.

Al Hambra’s Belly Dance Show
The event starts with belly dance performed by several belly dancer artists followed by Haitham Khalayla, the Palestinian whom won second place of Arab Idol 3 where the audience shared great time while he is on the stage. The star of the event came after; Hazem Sharif, whom won the first place in Arab Idol Season 3. He was the first Syrian male singer to win Arab Idol in 2014. The event was a great turn out with all the enjoyment from Al Hambra’s Palace Restaurant between the entertainment of dance performance and Middle Eastern food.

AJP’s Event - Supporting Rasmea Odeh On April 19, 2015, the Arab Jewish Partnership for Peace and Justice in the Middles East (AJP) invited many Middle Eastern and Non – Middle Eastern to the Al Hambra Palace Restaurant, in supporting and defending the civil rights of the case of Rasmea Odeh.

As many people know Rasmea Odeh as a leading member of Chicago Palestinian, Arab and Muslim communities, and her decade of service in Chicago has changes many people lives. Rasmea is greatly known in the community and some call her a Palestinian Hero. However, one sadly morning in October, 2013 she was arrested and charged with Unlawful Procurement of Naturalization. The case been going on for over two years and the community has joined at the JCP’c Brunch in support for Rasmea.

On April 26, 2015, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) held their Chicago 7th Annual Fundraising Dinner at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. This year’s PCRF dinner had dedicated to raise fund to support building a new Pediatric Cancer Center in Gaza.

Little about PCRF, It was founded in June 2008 by a diverse group of volunteers committed to make a difference for Arab children in need of lifesaving medical care. The goal of the chapter is to enhance awareness of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and its humanitarian mission whilst continuing to maintain an active network of doctors, volunteers and host families throughout the Chicago – land area.
