The event hosted by Moe Shama and Moe Mamba. Great entertainments included in the event and the guest speaker Mohammed Zeyara, told his story as he lived in Gaza, Palestine.

On March 23, 2015, Coalition of Palestinian American Organizations (CPAO) held the 40th Day Memorial for the three Chappel Hill North Carolina victims of Deah Shaddy Barakat, Yusor Mohamma Abu-Salha, and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha. The event took place at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. The event was organized and sponsored by The Coalition of Palestinian American Organizations (CPAO) which includes Nablus Association, the American Federation of Ramallah, Deir Debwan Charity Organization, Beit Liqia Association, United Taybeh Association, Nablus Association, Turmesia

Many Middle Eastern from the community attended the CPAO’s event to make a memorable day for the three victims where many called Deah, Yusor, and Razan, “Our Three Winners”, whom lost their lives in a tragically hate crime on February 10, 2014. The event opened with US national anthem by Jenna Maali followed by the Palestinian national Anthem as we stand together as one. CPAO received a letter from the family of the victims was read by Aya Abdel Hadi; more greater words spoken about the victims by Dr. Samer Attar (SAMS), Congressman Luis Gutierrez, Professor Jose Lupe, Professer Omer M. Mozaffar, attorney Vivian Khlaf,
and Dr. Khaled Abughazaleh (PCRF). Many spoke about the victims and the hate crime that is happening these days towards Middle Eastern in general and Muslim specific. CPAO mission “ There is a pressing need for the Palestinian American community in the United States to organize itself in order to attain its rights. Up until now, and after 65 years in the Diaspora, the Palestinian community in the U S A is not fairly represented in the media or the government. Therefore, the only way to change the unacceptable status of the Palestinian American community is to organize us collectively under “The Coalition of Palestinian American Organization “.
