Interview with Dr. Hasan Othman
Dr. Hasan Othman is an experienced orthodontist who has been creating beautiful smiles for over fourteen years. Dr. Othman completed years of education and training and earned the following degrees: Dental Degree from the University of Jordan, Master of Science Degree in Oral Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Othman also attends many local study clubs and national and international meetings to stay updated on the latest treatment options and ways of improving treatment results and patients’ experiences. Dr. Othman is also an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the following: American Association of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, Midwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and American Association for Dental Research.

When did you first decide to become an orthodontist? Why?
I’ve always wanted to help people smile. There’s no greater joy for me than seeing those who were too shy to show their teeth and smile reaching a new level of confidence and happiness.
What do you like most about being an orthodontist?
My patients. I am blessed to work with patients of various ages and backgrounds. Truly, they make my life filled with so much joy, especially on the day when we take their braces off and see their beautiful smiles.
Where are your offices located?
We serve patients in three locations. Lombard, Burbank, and we just opened our third office in Orland Park, Illinois. My team and I are very excited to serve the Orland Park community.
What happens in an initial consult?
Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial

exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs. During your initial consultation, we will: 1. Review your dental and medical history forms 2. Provide a complete oral exam, with X-rays, to determine if treatment is necessary 3. Create a customized treatment plan 4. Discuss all financial information, insurance options, and payment plans Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you.
What happens after the initial consultation?
You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time, our team will be available to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
When outside the office, how do you spend your time? I am a native of Jordan and currently reside with my wife and our boys in the wonderful community of Downers Grove. When I’m not practicing orthodontics, I enjoy traveling and playing soccer and tennis. I am also an avid supporter of local schools, athletic teams, and charities.

Iftar for Charity On July 24th 2014, Iftar for Charity Event held at the Quran Academy, at Orland Park, IL location. In the month of Ramadan, were all Muslims around the world fast from sunrise to sunset. Sunset is the time for Iftar, where Iftar is an Arabic word means the first meal in the day in which replacing dinner in regular days. This evening meal when Muslims end their fast at the time of sunset. Yahala Voice and other great sponsors came together in making this Iftar for the community. The event was a free Iftar given by Taaza2u, also the community given back by dropping off food, clothes, and toys for families in need. In this special event, AAFS, IRUSA, Quran Academy and other local business joined in giving. Speakers reminded the guests how important and the greatness of giving in the special month of Ramadan for the less fortunate around us.
