Compliance Policy/Procedure Training _________________________________________________________________________________________ _

Policy: All board members, executives, managers and employees will have appropriate compliance training, and all mangers and staff involved in the revenue cycle will have sufficient training to do their job according to facility policies and government standards.

Procedures: 1. Compliance and HIPAA training requirement will be specified for each job description. 2. Individual training will be scheduled for new employees and promoted employees as needed. 3. General update sessions will be held at least annually, urgent updates will be included in quarterly staff training and staff memos. 4. General training sessions will be held when major new developments require. 5. A copy of all training materials will be retained by the Compliance Officer for the period specified in the records retention policy. 6. Attendance will be taken for all training sessions and retained by the Compliance Officer. 7. Physician training will be scheduled by the Medical Director. 8. Information derived from compliance procedures will be used in developing future training materials, and documented as such.
