Compliance Policy/Procedure Appointment of Compliance Officer _________________________________________________________________________________________ _

Policy: A Compliance Officer (“CO”) will be appointed annually by the Board. Procedures: 1. By December 1 of each year the Executive Committee will appoint a CO for the upcoming calendar year. The reappointment of the current CO is acceptable upon a favorable evaluation of the current compliance program. 2. The CO will be a senior administrator or staff member with sufficient authority and respect to properly complete the required duties. 3. The CO will complete his/her duties in accordance with a written job description, which is attached and labeled “Job Description, Compliance Officer.” 4. The CO will be given adequate time and resources to fulfill the duties of the position. 5. If an Associate CO is appointed, then the Associate will serve during the absence or disability of the CO. If there is no Associate, the Executive Committee will appoint an interim or permanent replacement in the case of the absence or disability of the CO.
