Magical MOMENTS

This month, thanks to the anything but ordinary Kandima Maldives, OHLALA experienced four unforgettable days and nights immersed in the magnificence of this island destination.

Dhaalu Atoll

Positioned Southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 750 kilometres from mainland Asia, The Maldives is an archipelagic country formed by 26 natural atolls consisting of 1,192 islands.

Kandima Maldives is located in one of the most remote atolls in the Maldives, namely the Dhaalu Atoll. This far-flung location is, however, accessible via a short 35-minute domestic flight from Male International Airport to the airport in Dhaalu Atoll itself.

From there, it’s a quick, yet staggering beautiful, 20-minute boat ride to the tropical island. Alternatively, you can take a 45-minute seaplane flight, skimming low over the reefs and lagoons of the Indian Ocean, straight to the island’s arrival jetty.

As we approached our destination, we were taken aback by the large natural lagoon and lush tropical surroundings. Stepping onto the overwater wooden jetty and warmly welcomed by the resort staff, we knew we had just landed in paradise.

Kandima Maldives

Kandima is situated on an almost three-kilometre-long island and boasts one of the largest swimming pools in all the Maldives, measuring 100 metres in length.

Couples, families, honeymooners and groups of friends are all catered for, with accommodations and activities to suit all requests and requirements. Whether you’re after adventure, relaxation, pampering, sporting activities, beautiful views or just quality time with your family or companions, Kandima is the ultimate lifestyle destination for you.

ACCOMMODATION & COMFORT

With 264 stylishly designed villas and studios, Kandima offers accommodation to suit all guests. We were fortunate enough to experience two different offerings over the course of our stay.

Ocean Pool Villa

We were housed in the Ocean Pool Villa for the first two nights. These ultra-stylish villas offer the best of both worlds. With their semi-beach, semi-overwater positioning, we enjoyed both easy access to the beach and uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean.
