HEINZ MARZOHL

marzohl-mystische-malerei.com

His profound knowledge of reprography, typography, serigraphy, materials, and colour theory was a valuable springboard for the painter, printer, and advertising specialist Heinz Marzohl to enter the world of art painting. In over 25 years, countless sketches and studies were produced and, building on these, elaborate, profound but colourful paintings on canvas. Many of these paintings are influenced by emotional experiences. Heinz Marzohl found inspiration for his designs in nature. Lines of force of animal bodies, drawings on butterflies, weathered wood grain or primeval structures and cracks from rock cliffs of stormy seashores. Over the years the search for living lines and shapes to represent touching scenes has led to an independent, unmistakable design language. Painted on canvas with beautiful color compositions, the archaic traces became to enchanting, touching pictorial worlds.

KIM C. CHASE

https://www.chaseartworks.com/

“My goal is to stir up an emotion and nourish the heart and home with each piece I create. I want you to look into your soul through art and create a space in your home where you can get lost in your mind and dreams when looking at your special piece. I have a vision to travel the world to get inspiration for new artwork. I want to be able to feel the scenery and the environment I am traveling in and be able to put that back on the canvas with the same emotion for my clients to enjoy.”

GREG CLIFFE

https://www.gregcliffeartist.com Over 20 years my studio research evolved to embrace the concept of *totalized time and the stratification of memory which lends itself to the historical references I use in my paintings. It creates a mixture of philosophical and ideological threads through time. [*Marcel Proust]. I have always been interested in how social values and cultural history can be transmitted by folk narrative, fables and absurd yarns and what these say about group cohesion, conformity and shared presumptions. I like to collect a range of humorous stories, anecdotes on which to base subjects for my current narrative paintings. My early career performance/installation art experience and recent amateur stage design has also helped me to develop theatrical painting interpretations of social events through fictional characters and narratives. They form contemporary fables much as the “interesting eccentrics” that populated my father’s “yarns” in my childhood. In one way I have continued the “yarn-spinning” through fictional narratives based on family research. Through fictitious and purposely ambiguous subjects I hope to stimulate the audience’s curiosity to question what is actually occurring in my paintings. These fictional narratives are composites of experiences, events and characters which may resonate with the audience’s memories. World Wide Art MAGAZINE 8

By integrating shapes into a cohesive body of colours and forms in conjunction with collage elements, flowing ideas are arbitrarily manifested that bring the viewer’s attention to the brushstrokes, mark-making and materiality on the surface of each painting. However, the primary focus of Artist Wendy Cohen’s practice is to invite the viewer to enjoy each painting as she transform the static space of each painting with synchronized contrasting colours highlighting its vibrant chemistry and resonance.

PAUL DELPANI

https://www.paul-delpani.com art@pauldelpani.com

“Photography has been with me almost my whole life. Initially uncoordinated, now orderly and conceptually. Because of my job, I’m used to being structured and analytical. I have transferred this approach to my artistic work. My works are created as series, sometimes over long periods of time. The artistic approach results from doing, initially maybe trial & error, but once the way is found, nothing stands in the way of serial implementation. Art should - in addition to the aesthetic approach - stimulate one to deal with the environment, being and its questions. The individual photograph is the starting material. The work of art is only created through further processing and processing. The focus here is less on digital postprocessing than on the use of different analog processes, including the oldest photographic processes: cyanotype, VanDyck printing. The combination of modern photo technology with high quality printing processes that have existed for over 150 years is challenging but also enriching. On the other hand, the “old” technology also has its charm - such as pinhole camera photography; Combined with digital processing, this creates works of art whose predictability is only limited. In accordance with my motto - pushing the boundaries - we experiment with images and materials, look for new forms of expression, and develop them further.” World Wide Art MAGAZINE 8

Self-taught artist, Juliet Hillbrand was born in 1994 and lives in Houston, Texas. Named in ‘Top Artists of 2019’ by DESTIG Magazine’s Barcelona Issue, Juliet’s work has been exhibited in dozens of art shows around the world. Inspired by mother nature in her endless forms, she combines abstraction with realism. Exploring the collections of ocean energy, nakedness, and metamorphosis, Hillbrand’s pieces are often themed by nature’s intrinsic force of transformation. Unable to be tamed to one style, her figurative realism pieces are often monochromatic. These black and white tones are used as a reflection of the feminine air of mystery; its uncapturable quality of etherealism.

JOHN HOWARD gjhonee@gmail.com

John is a born and bred New Yorker, currently residing in New Jersey. He was formally educated in music at the High School of Music and Art and NYU. He has enjoyed an inspiring 40-year career in technology and is currently retired. Though primarily self-taught as a photographer, John also attended workshops and did course work at the International Center of Photography and School of Visual Arts. John has traveled to parts of Europe, the Caribbean, Central and South America on photo expeditions with noted photographers Harvey Stein and Steve Anchell. Some of John’s work is also posted in the contest galleries of Black and White magazine. Photography, music, technology and math have been John’s life’s centers of gravity--he might be described as somewhat of a polymath. Each of these disciplines drive his life and work, but he doesn’t always know where they will lead. Yet, nevertheless, he finds it necessary to take the journey. John never pursued photography as a career. Instead, the artform has been and remains a refuge in which he seeks self-care, therapy, healing and inspiration. Photography is the means by which John grasps at the unspeakable, the unthinkable, and the unknowable.

PATRICK JOOSTEN

www.patrick-joosten.com p.joosten@patrick-joosten.com “Patrick Joosten’s flowing gestures are full of emotional dedication. His artworks convince predominantly with the pathos of their colors. With his acrylic paintings, Joosten takes observers to a new reality, created by his wide brush stroke, and his way of scraping one color across the next to create unique transitions. The traces of his tools bear witness to his process-oriented way of working. The texture of colored spaces is a special focus in his work. The resulting stretches of painting become screens of projection for the observer’s thoughts, emotions and dreams. Abstraction seems to have grown a soul. At times, a deep Sky blue starts a conversation with bright red structures, or an immaterial lemon-yellow run into a figure sporting a gray design.”

“My name is Sonnhild Kost. I was born in 1961 in Germany. Art and especially painting interested me from an early age. Many years passed before I picked up the brush myself. First of all, people liked to hear my criticism of other works. When I was in my early 50s, I began to be self-taught and artistically active. Until then, I had worked as a draftsman in my dream job. Life showed me a way to balance my inner being with the outer. I am very thankful for that. I started with abstract acrylic painting. But since I always want to develop myself further, I now explore digital possibilities. I can express all my feelings through my art. I am a member of the Kunstverein Freiberg, Sweden. I have already had several joint exhibitions with them. I can also look back on around 20 solo exhibitions throughout Central Saxony. I’ve been on Instagram @ sonnhild.kost since the beginning of the pandemic and post my works there. I have already participated in several international digital art exhibitions and competitions. I am a member of Artavita and Hansford & Son. Last year I took part in the Luxembourg Art Prize. I also work closely with M.A.D.S.Milano and the Circle Foundation. I see my strength in new challenges.” World Wide Art MAGAZINE 8

The whole harmonizes in sometimes asymmetric harmony in a subtle chromaticity of warm and cold colors. The figurative elements, sometimes glued or recovered or painted, come to orchestrate within a predetermined composition of the pictorial imaginary space. World Wide Art MAGAZINE 8

DAMILOLA OLUSEGUN instagram.com/dame_art1 damilolajoy97@gmail.com

At just 23 years old, Damilola Olusegun is poised and prepared to bring the art world to Nigeria. It’s only fitting that the next rising star of the art world would hail from Ogun State, the Gateway to Nigeria. Because if Damilola Olusegun has her way, her work in the international arts community will spark the necessary support for the growing artist community in her country. Born and raised in Sagamu, Damilola’s love of art was something her father first recognized and encouraged when she was a teenager. But it wasn’t until a few months after his untimely death in late 2016 that she chose to hone her skills and pursue art seriously as a way to honor her father’s memory. Fully self-thought, she relied on YouTube tutorials to learn the techniques she admired in the work of established artists. She quickly settled on portraits as her preferred style. As she studied technique, she also studied style and would draw inspiration from a variety of artists - most notably fellow Nigerian Ken Nwadiogbu who led her towards her love of charcoal (and occasionally graphite) as a medium; and Clio Newton and Juliane Berge, whose worked swayed Damilola towards working uniquely on large-scale canvases. REBECCA PASCOE Instagram@PascoeArt

“I come from a very artistic family. My father was a well-known sculptor and has been commissioned by very high-profile clients, such as President Kennedy, Nixon, David Frost also work for Princess Anne for the Commonwealth Games. My work is inspired by interiors and still life. My mother would create beautiful arrangements in our home, using plants, flowers, oil lamps, vases and rarely seen nowadays, ornamental gourds! Years of exposure to that environment has instilled a visual literacy/ language for me which makes my work easily recognizable. I studied Fine Art in Bristol and then went on to do a Post Graduate in Education.”
