Doreen Chambers Interiors Doreen Chambers Interiors’ spectacular renovation of a 5-floor brownstone situated in Brooklyn’s prestigious Cobble Hill neighbourhood. This project involved the renovation and decoration of a 5-floor brownstone. The interior design elements included custom-made furnishings and upholstery using luxurious silk damasks and textured woven fabrics for a vibrant yet elegant colour palette. 4 Design Industry Weekly News


The property renovation included new bathrooms, a new kitchen, re-finished double plank wood floors, adding windows on the back wall of 3 floors, installing a back-door leading to the garden on the ground level, refinishing exposed brick wall in the dining room, renovating 3 fireplaces, refinishing, or replacing existing mantels. Fusion Interiors Group Named ‘Urban Lodge Hotel’ and located just outside of the city in Sloterdijk this property was formerly an office block that was converted into a hotel with 120 rooms including large public area spaces with a bar, a restaurant, and a breakfast area. Dorin & Coppel Dorin & Coppel were commissioned to transform a derelict 5 bed penthouse apartment in one of Madrid’s most vibrant districts. Dorin & Coppel provided a full interior re-design including bespoke joinery and furniture throughout, over an 8-month design and build period. Significant structural works were required to open up the living room space to create a centralised feature fireplace that divides both the living and dining space. Many of the living room walls allow space for the client to showcase their artwork collection. The orientation of the living space focuses the guests on the spectacular and unique views all the way down Paseo de la Castellana and across into the gardens of Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales. Stylt Trampoli AB Stylt Trampoli were approached to completely refresh Pelikan, a historic restaurant in Stockholm, without changing the things that has made it so venerable and well-loved for the first 110 years of its history. The name Pelikan goes back to 1644, but the restaurant’s current fame is based on more recent history. Unusually, the premises were purposely designed as a restaurant.

At the beginning of the last century the restaurant was located at the last outpost in the southern part of Stockholm before fields and meadows took over. Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation The Gulfstream G650ER cabin design creates a seamless transition from work, dining, entertainment and sleeping through four distinct yet analogous living areas. A game of chess inspired the interior for this particular Gulfstream G650ER, which is used as a corporate demonstrator for the company’s sales team. Like winning a chess match, businesses require strategic advances to succeed. Creating an interior environment that supports the key elements of business, from productivity to innovation, yet also encourages rest and relaxation, was critical to the interior design. Mark Taylor Design Mark Taylor Design were appointed to complete a transformation of one living space room. Their client opted for an Art Deco inspired bar and relaxing room. After studying many Art Deco images and using his knowledge from attending a furniture college, the designer created this journey back in time. The room was stripped back, to create corner columns and alcoves with stud work and plaster and designed a huge coving with lighting behind. This challenge was taken on by Hutts Coving. READ MORE...

Designer in Profile - Eveline Rossi Position within company CEO & Founder Company Rossi Interiors Website www.rossiinteriors.com Tell us a little about your background in design: It was always my hobby to decorate and move furniture around, even as a child I was very happy moving my bedroom to another room in the house and decorate it from new. I never followed my passion in my career. I made a career in Private Banking. I have a degree in Process Management which helps me a great deal in my daily work, getting things done on time! And of course when I started the company with my husband, Piero in 2009 the Projectmangement education in my pocket made things a lot easier. Piero is an architect and has been in the business for over 25 years. After we met it was clear that we had the same dream of opening an interior design shop, which we did. During the build up of the company I visited an Interior Design School in Switzerland and graduated in 2010. Learning by doing and having Piero who was giving me the necessary tips and tricks, I have now been successful in the business for the last six years. READ MORE... 16 Design Industry Weekly News
