WHAT MAKES OUR AWARDS DIFFERENT TO OTHER DESIGN AWARDS?
A unique part of our voting system, is that votes have to be cast in every single category, not just your own projects, this gives all shortlisted projects maximum publicity from international industry professionals.
Like all design et al awards, The International Yacht & Aviation Awards are not judged by a panel. Shortlisted entries are presented online, and voting is open to industry professionals as well as design et al readers, clients and

How it works...

• Complete the application form at the back of this pack • Return to us along with 5-20 high resolution images • Your application will be reviewed and you will be notified whether you have been shortlisted or not following the shortlisting meeting (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) • If successful, you will receive a shortlisted logo, along with confirmation of your PR and an invoice for your entry/ entries (£375.00 plus VAT) and 2 tickets to The Awards Ceremony (£345.00 inc. per ticket). • Places in each category are strictly limited and offered on a first-come first-served basis PLEASE NOTE: Images must not be visualisations, unless you are entering a concept category.
Who can enter... Interior designers, naval architects, owners, shipyards, airlines, product designers, manufacturers, multiprofessional teams. Other associated organisations (for example PR or advertising agencies) may also enter on behalf of the naval architect or interior designer, with the naval architect or interior designer’s consent. You may only be shortlisted for a maximum of 2 projects per category; but you are welcome to enter as many separate categories as you wish. Projects can be submitted in more than one category where relevant. Initial entry is free. Each separate submission that successfully reaches the shortlist is subject to an administration fee of £375 + VAT SUBMISSION OF AN ENTRY WILL BE TAKEN AS AGREEMENT TO PAY THE £375 + VAT PER ENTRY, PER CATEGORY AND TO PURCHASE A MINIMUM OF 2 TICKETS TO THE AWARDS EVENING IF THE ENTRY SUCCESSFULLY REACHES THE SHORTLIST. PR & Editorial... design et al supports every shortlisted entry with a PR & Editorial Package to the value of more than £3,000: NEWSLETTER Campaign to our digital database/ subscribers of industry professionals plus a Social Media announcement (FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram). WEBSITE - Your entry will be featured on our website and permanently archived. AWARDS BOOK - You will receive 1/3 page feature in The Awards Book, comprised of an image and a short description. INTERVIEW We will publish an interview with the designer on The Design Society website, including a link back to your own website.
Judging... design et al awards are different to other design awards as they are not judged by a panel. Shortlisted projects are presented online, and voting is open to industry professionals as well as design et al readers and clients. There is no cash prize.
Attending the ceremony...
SHORTLISTED LOGO We will provide you with a logo to confirm you have been shortlisted in the awards and you are free to use this wherever you wish (online, in print etc)
If an entry is shortlisted, then two representatives of your company must attend the awards ceremony. Early bird tickets are available for £295 inc. per ticket (Normal price £345 inc). The awards evening takes place in May in Italy.
VOTING Arguably the most valuable part of being shortlisted: Voters spend, on average, 53 minutes looking over shortlisted projects and casting their votes.

The Awards Ceremony... The 2021 awards will take place in Italy in May 2021, date to be confirmed shortly, with leading industry professionals flying in from all over the world to attend. Tickets are initially offered at a rate of £295 (inclusive) and a minimum of two tickets must be purchased per company. The evening consists of pre-dinner drinks, followed by a threecourse dinner with wines which precedes the evening’s main function, the Awards ceremony itself, where sponsors will present award winners with trophies. The “after party” will take place after the Awards presentations and will continue until late. All competing companies must attend or send representation.
