Jet Aviation The Boeing 787-9 Limitless were designed for a Middle Eastern client – with an interior that was far from classic. Traditional geometric shapes and tessellating patterns were to be integrated throughout, but re-interpreted in a new, modern way. Classic materials had to be combined with innovative new fabrics and furnishings, crafting an interior that was both a comfortable and beautiful home – and a working business space. Tom Faulkner In a slice of ingenious visual trickery the AVA dining table shows two tetrahedrons – one seemingly balanced on the other, supporting a glass disc. AVA is constructed of three triangulated shapes, that appear to fall together, creating two tetrahedrons. They are welded together in such a way as to make an incredibly (and deceptively) strong table – with a very thin neck that is able to support a heavy glass top. Osborn Interiors were invited to St BarthÊlemy to complete an entire refurb whilst retaining the hotel’s reputation for relaxation and comfort. Organic lu planning throughout, the creation of new public spaces, including a new ba refurbishment of all guest rooms and the building and creation of 9 new lux service. Beleco The Los Angeles based interior design firm, Beleco, were asked to transform a turn of the 20th century office building in downtown Chicago to a boutique hotel. The Gray hotel by Kimpton- named for its original Georgia Gray marble- blends contemporary elegance with historic charm. Inspired by the finely-tailored suits of London’s Savile Row, delicate suit fabrics, velvet and lace were used to balance the cold, hard interiors with softness and sophistication. READ MORE...

Designer in Profile - Joao Botelho Position within company Founder and Creative Director Company Casa Botelho Website www.casabotelho.com Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc) Before founding Casa Botelho, I enjoyed a 22-year career in global luxury retail, beginning my journey in sales for a prestigious Brazilian brand in my hometown, Belo Horizonte. With the ambition to explore the world and travel, I decided to move to Europe in 1994, making London my new home. Since then I have worked for Harvey Nichols, Nicole Farhi and Jasper Conran, opening Jasper Conran’s flagship Mayfair store in 2004. I joined Donna Karan New York in 2000 and I held a Managing Director for both Retail & Wholesale. Having worked with iconic homeware designers and travelled around the globe, I experienced style at its best, learned exquisite architectures and gained interiors’ know how which has inspired me to explore different sides of my creative personality through the redesign of a space.
