Nathan Anthony Furniture Designed by Tina Nicole, the Dali chair features an innovative reverse-tufting technique. Sewn in a contrasting leather across the chair’s back and side panels, reverse tufting creates a threedimensional effect similar to a cascade of floating petals. The leather forming each petal is sewn across a stylish, diamondshaped grid that flows around the chair’s curved chassis, creating an intricate, hand-drawn effect. Gilded modern brass steel tube legs add an extra dash of sophistication to the chair, which pays homage to the Art Deco and Mid-century Modern design periods. READ MORE...

Elizabeth Metcalfe Interiors & Design Elizabeth Metcalfe Interiors were enlisted to design a custom residence for a prominent lawyer and an entrepreneurial wife for their young family. Once the clients found the perfect lot to build on, situated in close proximity to beautiful Lake Ontario, they commissioned a well-known architect and builder to create their dream home. Working closely with the architect, EM Design perfected the homes layout to include the clients brief that bespoke millwork detailing, distinctive lighting and luxurious furnishings were integrated in the designs of the entrance, dining room, kitchen, great room and master suite. I graduated in 1986 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and joined WATG in 1989 as a designer in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 2007, my colleague and I were tasked with opening WATG’s Singapore office and I have managed it since then. Throughout my career, my main focus has been designing hospitality developments across South-east Asia and China. How would you describe your personal design style? Having lived and worked in South-east Asia for so many years, I am influenced by the contemporary tropical modern architecture of the region. The interpretation of ‘tropical modern’ changes from country to country so the design direction needs to be influenced by local materials, culture and traditions from each region.
