Kern Design This modern classic penthouse is a luxury new build on the 6th floor. Located in bustling Frankfurt, Germany. This family with 2 children wanted a luxurious penthouse in a prime location. Colours and materials where all specifically requested by the owners, and implemented within a modern, classic style. SuMisura The 5 large ensuite bedrooms residence that has its own swimming pool and built-in elevator is designed by award-winning design firm – SuMisura in collaboration with architectural firm, HYLA Architect, is set to redefine privileged landed living. The client requested for SuMisura’s expertise on the planning and implementation of the interior design for one of the main show houses. While creating a 4 Design Industry Weekly News


contemporary and timeless interior design scheme to complement the architectural façade, SuMisura’s focus was to create an immaculate look that drew inspiration from Italian brands in which tradition is constantly being reinterpreted in an innovative way. Banda Property The two apartments comprising the Heritage Collection are the showcase element of the Parkgate House renovation and the second and final stage of the development. The first stage of this renovation sold out within 24 hours of its launch. Banda Property’s aim was to breathe new life into this historic building of traditional style and huge architectural opportunity inside and out. The design was to present lateral living on a supreme level with 2000 square feet of open plan living space and 500 square feet each for the bathrooms and master bedroom space. Cochrane Design Ltd For this project, Cochrane were looking to transform an originally tired property into a wonderfully elegant and luxurious home, complete with the latest advances in lighting. Peter Staunton This project can only be defined as a high-end eco property that fuses Eastern and Western culture. It’s presence brings an Art Deco and rock n roll chic edge to it’s surroundings. The brief was to deliver a design that would reference various classic style periods, such as Art Deco, and give it a contemporary updated twist, whilst also allowing for everyday family life. Chris Diamond Design This stunning master ensuite was designed by Chris Diamond Design on behalf of a high-end property developer for a Grade-II listed residential building in the heart of Hampstead Heath, London. With a sophisticated palette and high vaulted ceiling, this open plan master is a calming oasis, promoting well-being through a harmony of natural elements. Juxtaposing textures are off set by sleek, modern design touches, allowing tranquillity to permeate the ambience. Natural stone mimics the warmth of wood grain and creates an impressive backdrop for the generously sized walk-through shower. READ MORE...

Blocher Blocher Partners This 30sqm home cinema is a gem within the luxurious villa Vastu. The elegant but minimalistic design makes reference to the glamorous red carpets. It fosters cosiness and a superior movie experience. Without doubt, red is the colour associated with the cinema experience: in all the old motion-picture theatres, lush velvet curtains and seats create a luxurious feeling – as does the red carpet till this day. This home cinema ties in this tradition – with a new twist. The shades of red are implemented into a modern but minimalistic look, honed by noble design elements like the flute lights in the back or the copper-coated bar. Olive Design Studio The project is a luxury Cinema room with bespoke panelling and seating arrangement with secret jib doors. To create a luxury bespoke home cinema the Olive Design Studio team designed a feature coffer ceiling trimmed with high gloss lacquer tabu ash veneer and feature lighting. Two bespoke seating levels were clad in Rainleaf wooden planks with carefully designed lighting details. The team worked closely with GMS joinery to create beautifully crafted bespoke high gloss lacquered ash veneer and ostrich leather panels as well as the seating arrangement. READ MORE...

Elicyon Elicyon completed this spectacular five-bedroom apartment in the prestigious One Hyde Park building in Knightsbridge for a private client. The compelling and striking interior design, influenced by the client’s style, is an example of the ultimate in luxury modern living. Being a Baccarat enthusiast, the client’s extensive collection of vases were to be incorporated into the design, as were specific pieces of furniture. Sigmar The clients loved this converted courthouse’s open and vast space. They wished to have an interior created that felt just right for them, where their love for modern art and design pieces which they have collected over the years blended naturally with an inviting, elegant and clever use of the space. They valued the beauty and philosophy of modernist vintage pieces, as well as touches of bold colour and texture in the right places, inspiring this design. The bright space, with impressive windows and high ceilings gain a warm quality with a new personality, but do not lose their own integrity and slightly utilitarian or industrial feel. FBEYE International Ash & Elm, the latest addition to the InterContinentalŽ Singapore’s collection of dining establishments is a vibrant restaurant focused on European Dining. The dynamic space transforms throughout the day with the skylight canopy which runs the length of the dining area providing a sense of movement as glimmers of natural daylight provide an ever-changing colour palate to the space. FBEYE International integrated the use of natural materials in areas such as the butcher-block worktops, a mixture of exotic marble, aged oak timbre and mosaic tiles in the flooring as well as the timber walls to introduce an organic feel to the space as well as imbibing an atmosphere of liveliness. Design plus Light Design Plus Light were involved in one of the latest residential developments in the heart of Soho. Built in 1939, the building once housed London’s premier school of art and design. Pitched ceilings are emphasised with concealed cove lighting. This provides a soft reflected light and lifts the impression of the space. Harsh glare is cleverly avoided by concealing the light fittings within the architectural detail. The linear lighting effect is continued into the open plan kitchen space with linear washes of light onto the cabinets. Lines of light are detailed seamlessly into the wall and across the ceiling. Rebosio + Spagnulo This classic penthouse apartment has private terraces with exceptional views across Rome’s renowned skyline. The interior design concept for the property is unique in its exceptional attention to detail. Repeating motifs and a uniform palette are streamlined to ensure every element feels cohesively aligned. The spacious living areas combine two reception rooms, a master suite, two bedrooms, a dining room and kitchen. The concept reflects a new definition of understated luxury. Taylor Interiors This beautifully constructed villa in the Puerto Andratx hills has stunning views overlooking the surrounding bay. A British developer tasked the Taylor Interiors design team with balancing and harmonizing the clean symmetrical lines of the property’s minimalist architecture and through the decor adding warmth and comfort to the large spaces. The master bathroom echoes the minimalist aesthetic with sleek floor-to- ceiling glass partitions dividing the shower and toilet areas.
