Azia Resort & Spa The sophisticated design of the hotel owes as much to edgy London design as to local influences. The result is an atmosphere that is sensuous yet earthy, shaped by the whole history of Cyprus and by the natural beauty of the island. The nature is suggested, for instance, by such details as the use of flower and leaf motifs carved on wood and stone as well as by the profusion of indoor and outdoor plantings. The history is present in a slick, fusion manner combining very earthy and artistic elements. Each area is influenced by a different chapter of the Cyprus history. Venetian Murano glass, hand painted silk and gold leaf decoration of the main dining room represent the impact of the Venetian Republic on the history... READ MORE...

Name Rupert Bevan Positions within company Rupert Bevan Ltd Company Founder / Owner / CEO Website rupertbevan.com Tell us a little about your background in design ? My background is primarily in craftsmanship rather than design. I learned a vast amount from the apprenticeship I did in gilding and restoration, which taught me how to use an endless variety of materials and techniques. In terms of design my background is in having worked with a bewildering array of antique furniture from many different eras; from 17th century elm commodes to 20th century brasswork. How would you describe your personal interior design style? Eclectic. I love objects and display, so given the chance I would probably choose to live in a cabinet of curiosities! And the inclusion of technology previously unavailable in aircraft this size. The better way. The efficient way. The unconventional way. You see, we’ve never been ones to settle for the status quo. And we’re looking for those who share a similar mindset and are willing to act upon it. Because we believe for those who do — doing the impossible is just the beginning.

Rethink Convention.
