Designer in Profile - Bee Osborn Position within company Director Company Osborn Interiors Website www.osborninteriors.com Tell us a little about your background in design (education, experience, etc) I started as a property developer but I was always being asked to decorate people’s houses. Eventually I gave in and trained at The Itchbald School of design and set up Osborn Interiors How would you describe your personal design style? Classical with a contemporary twist. Understated elegance Where does your design inspiration come from? Each project should reflect not only the client but the location and history of the space. The research triggers the inspiration process In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Handmade/craft, a sense of the maker is becoming more important, but using modern technologies. A use of natural materials, and we certainly did this in our recent hotel project, and will continue to use these elements in 2017
