Explore a million years of prehistory in one day guided by our expert time travellers! Learn about tools and weapons made from Stone, Bronze and Iron through: Flints & Soap knapping arrow heads Wattling fencing and exploring the Bronze Age Roundhouse Iron Age Warrior Training Trading for Rope and Flints Superb day. Work alongside our early Farmers and discover where our food comes from whilst you:

Grind Grain on Quern Stones and make Flat Bread Weave on Warp Weighted Looms Cook and Dye with herbs Trade for grain and logs

Boudicca

Warrior Day

Romans are coming and Boudicca has called on all villagers to fight! Pupils work in teams and complete challenges to earn gold coins. Warrior training Archery Trade and Barter with Celtic coins Boudicca’s Quest Warrior Head Bands and Face Paint

The day ends with Boudicca’s announcement of the winning Clan in the Chieftain Roundhouse.

The children benefitted from being inside the roundhouses. Enabled children with SEN to integrate fully with rest of the class. Not usually possible without extreme differentiation and 1-to-1 support. Rebecca Eames, Chesham Preparatory School, June 2017
