Dear Mission Partners This summer, the Lord lead us to preach the Gospel in the beautiful nation of Tanzania. The picture that most people in the West have of Africa – Safari tours, lions, giraffes, huge herds of zebra, the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, the Serengeti – stems largely from Tanzania and its surrounding countries. However, we did not go to East Africa on a sightseeing trip and did not put our focus on the beauty of the landscape. We went to the mega city of Dar es Salaam where millions of people needed to hear the message of salvation, healing and deliverance in Jesus. And we witnessed incredible transformations and miracles. One of the local pastors told me that this campaign had an unexpected side effect. He said that churches of many different denominations and backgrounds were working together in a way that was unprecedented. He thanked CfaN for this additional blessing.

Salvation Deliverance Healing
Breath of Life From 23 to 26 May 2013, the Christengemeinde Freiburg experienced four days which can only be described as extraordinary.
Daniel Kolenda and Todd White preached, amongst others, at the Christengemeinde’s “Stadium Event - Breath of Life”. Both of them inspired many of the over 1000 attendants by their unique presentation of Gospel truth. Daniel preached powerful messages on dedicating your whole life to serving God and clearly illustrated the importance of evangelism for every believer. Todd White had been part of the School of Evangelism in Zurich and accompanied Daniel to Freiburg. This was Todd’s first time preaching in Germany. He is known for his video documentary “Father of Lights”. His message was on personal evangelism under the direction of the Holy Spirit. This inspired many attendants to share the Gospel fearlessly. “I have been asking myself this question: ‘Will God really perform miracles through me?’ The Stadium Event greatly encouraged me and the messages motivated me to go into the streets and love people by praying for them and doing good. Saturday afternoon took the conference to the streets through an Outreach. I saw this elderly man in the distance, seemingly waiting for something. After praying for him three times, his back pain was completely gone. That afternoon our team witnessed three more miracles.” (R. H.)

Winfried Wentland
has been CfaN’s Field Director for over 30 years. He has travelled to each of the Campaign sites by truck and has crossed more than 40 African nations. Many times he has experienced God’s protection in dangerous situations.
About 150 of CfaN’s friends and partners experienced a very memorable afternoon on 21st September in Frankfurt. They were able to not only listen to a firsthand report about what needs to happen behind the scenes so that the CfaN campaigns can actually take place but also saw an impressive picture documentation. WINFRIED WENTLAND, CfaN’s Field Director, was the main speaker of this event.

Winfried shared many stories about the evangelistic work of CfaN. A lot of them happen way before the actual event, where many thousands give their lives to Jesus Christ each night. It often takes a chain of miracles to actually get to the place where the Great Gospel Campaign is to take place. “In Africa you really learn to trust God. I have been close to death 12 times until now. For example in 1985, in an almost-crash of a Boeing 737, when both engines failed. We were going down fast. At about 2600 feet fire suddenly shot out of one engine, restoring thrust to the aircraft. We were able to land safely. Or when we needed
to take a ferry across a river and it started to sink. The cockpit of my truck went under water and it was only by God’s grace that I was able to get out. One time I was deported in Gabon and another time held hostage in Equatorial Guinea. I was released the day before Christmas Eve. My wife and family thought that their dad would never come back.”

It was an afternoon where we as the CfaN team were privileged to talk to and get to know many of our friends and partners personally. Many were encouraged to keep on trusting God, who makes the impossible possible. The concluding message emphasized this as well and at the end we took the time for personal prayer for healing and any other need.
Jesus is the One who has healed me! This woman listened to the preaching via the radio. Her son had been suffering with laboured breathing, asthma and could not take in liquids. When Daniel was praying for people with lung problems, she put her hand on her child. The little boy started stretching and perspiring and she realized that the power of God had touched her son. The next day she came to the campaign to testify that her son had been healed.
For five years this woman‘s right leg had been paralyzed. A little while ago she noticed that her left leg started to have the same problem. She went to different doctors and Chinese healers – nothing helped. During prayer on the third day of the campaign she received her healing and can now walk normally again.
This woman shared a very unusual story. She had travelled together with her daughter from the neighboring country of Uganda. There she was known as “Bishop Deborah”, Pastor and church planter. Her daughter had suffered from with epileptic seizures since the age of two, which would manifest every time her mother was preaching. This caused her ministry to dwindle.
This woman suffered from a painful breast tumor since 2006, when her mother died. Any touch was painful. She was instantly healed and all pain was gone. As she testified, she started crying and called out: „Oh my God is awesome!“ and went on to hug Daniel Kolenda.
When Daniel prayed for the sick, he said: “Some are being healed right now!” She felt power go through her body which made her legs go weak. She then touched her daughter who also sank to the ground. The girl was healed instantly from epilepsy and an open wound on her leg, which had been bleeding for two years. “Now I am going back to Uganda. I have got my miracle!”
Suffering from severe pain in her knees, this woman had been to several hospitals. After prayer on the first night, she threw away her crutches and started to walk. She then came on the platform to share her testimony and started running to demonstrate her healing – something she had been unable to do since 2003.
During prayer this woman fell to the ground and noticed that her abdominal pain was gone. She had suffered from myoma. When she got up again, she realized she was pain free.
Due to numbness in his legs this man was paralyzed. On the first night Jesus touched and healed him.
Many years ago this woman had a very unpleasant experience. As she was crossing the road, a snake spit in her eye. The poison made her right eye swell up and go blind after some time. During the prayer on Saturday evening she realized that her right eye was completely restored and she could see perfectly with both eyes.

Because of the rain, our sound system had difficulties. Just as Daniel was about to make the altar call, the sound completely died! He simply stood still on the platform waiting for the power to return. The massive crowd, rather than growing restless or dispersing, began to worship the Lord, and soon the whole crowd was shouting, “Je-sus, Je-sus, Je-sus”. It was remarkable. On the second night, Daniel preached about repentance and told the people that it is not enough just to pray a prayer – following Jesus means that your life must change. Before we could hear testimonies of healing that night, the police shut the meeting down because of the time, which was apparently past a local curfew. One officer stood behind Daniel on the platform until he closed the meeting. But when he asked the people to indicate who had been healed by a show of hands, literally thousands of hands went up. On Sunday the participating churches got a taste of the fruit from that week. Pastors told us that their churches were overflowing with new converts – in fact one of the pastors told me that he had over 4,900 converts in his church alone that Sunday morning!

The “School of Fire” A unique training concept
“When was the last time you have led someone to to Christ?”, sometimes Pastors ask their congregations – the answer frequently being an embarrassed, “Well, that’s a while ago...”. There are also many Christians who have never been able to lead anyone to Christ. They might have a desire in their hearts to share the Gospel, but are not quite sure how to go about it. This is where CfaN’s School of Fire comes in.
The School of Fire is a study book teaching the basics of evangelism in 20 chapters, such as:
How do I become an effective soul winner? How do I overcome fear and mental blockades? How do I share my testimony effectively? How do I witness one-on-one successfully? Are follow up and discipleship really important? How do I organize an evangelistic meeting? How can I/our church make a difference in our society?
This study guide is ideal for your personal study but also for group study, e.g. home cells or churches. If you register online, you will have the option for additional tutoring via e-mail through our CfaN office. Once you have successfully completed the course and passed the mandatory tests, you will receive a Course Certificate, personally signed by Reinhard Bonnke. The diverse teaching modules cover God’s plan of Salvation, starting with the fall of mankind over Jesus’ sacrifice to Pentecost, where people like you and me were baptized with fire and received power to change the world. Reinhard Bonnke shares his passion for the lost, as well as giving practical hints from his years of experience in the harvest fields, making the Great Commission real to every student’s heart. The Holy Spirit is still the same today: As in days of old, He wants to turn timid people into evangelists who are on fire for God, fulfilling the Great Commission – in our villages, towns, our nations – to the ends of the earth!

Why do more
miracles happen in other parts of the world than where I live?
As an evangelist who works in many Third World countries and has seen many amazing miracles, one of the most common questions that people ask me is this: “Why do these amazing miracles happen in Africa, or in Third World countries but not in the Western World?” I have heard very well-known and well-intentioned ministers give entire teachings about why God doesn’t do these miracles in the West. Some of these explanations are actually very rational and they explain in great detail why it works this way. And I must admit, for a long time I also had various answers prepared for this question, whenever it would come up. But then, one day, I was reading God’s Word and I was praying and suddenly, it occurred to me that all of these explanations that I had were really just excuses and unbelief. IN FACT, THE QUESTION ITSELF REVEALS THE PROBLEM…
