Hello Beautiful, I hope you do not mind if this month’s magazine is a little different than the ones we have had before. Arman and myself just began a very sweet journey together, WE GOT MARRIED!!! I am sure you have seen me share about it the past several months. As a big thank you to the people that came to the wedding, the ones that helped with the wedding and to the businesses that we worked with, we wanted to dedicate this magazine to all of them. You will see some great companies featured in the pages of this magazine. You will see people that are so special to our lives and you will read heart-warming stories. meet the BEAUTIFUL & DAUNTLESS STAFF EDITOR IN CHIEF, beautiful
Karissa Hagemeister-Irani is on a life long journey to share love, beauty and truth with the world. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine. Editor-in-Chief of the Dauntless section of the magazine, Arman Irani, married Karissa in June of 2019.
EDITOR IN CHIEF, dauntless
Arman Irani is just another fellow human. He’s admittedly a little bit nerdy. How nerdy? Well, he just received a Bachelors degree in Nanotechnology. Arman loves working out, cooking healthy, dressing up, traveling and he’s also a bit of a gamer. He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

Sara Robillard spent the first part of her life growing up in New England, and about a decade ago, she found herself transplanted to Central Florida. Sara is currently working in a full-time marketing position, as well as attending college as a part-time student to earn a degree in graphic design. She has been working in graphic art professionally for over five years (unprofessionally for almost a decade) and truly enjoys creating and telling stories.

When she’s not working or doing homework, Sara is either doing something artsy, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, reading, writing or lounging with her cat, Ruxin.
FEATURE EDITOR
Arnette German is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. Arnette is a foodie and a lover of nature and the arts. Life is definitely, in some shape or form and fashion, being lived to the fullest.

Xiomara Montalvo is a 21 year old graphic designer and visual artist that lives and breathes all things artistic. She has lived in Florida half of her life but is originally from Michigan. Xiomara has a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from Southeastern University with a concentration in Digital Imaging. Visual Storytelling has always been a passion of hers. To be able to bring life to the imagination is what motivates her to design. When Xiomara is not working, she loves to read, write, draw, paint, and play video game. She personally believes that we were all created to create.

WHY I Waited for Marriage to Have SEX by Karissa Hagemeister-Irani

I learned at a young age that sex was a special, intimate act shared between a husband and wife. I remember being in youth group at my church and there was a pastor speaking of virginity as a treasure. He had this treasure chest with him to emphasize the point. Once a man and woman get married, they give each other their “treasure” (virginity) as a gift. It was something that they had cherished and took care of for years. I remember thinking how special that was. Having this great treasure, that each of us are born with (our virginity) and keeping it safe for the person that we are going to marry. To me, it was beautiful and amazing, and something that I vowed in my heart that I would do. I wanted my husband to feel so special on our wedding night knowing that I waited however many years to have sex with him and only him. Granted, I was young, and I did not have sexual desires at that point. I did not even want to kiss anybody at that age. I guess you could consider me a late bloomer in that respect. But having that understanding at such a young age helped me stick to my morals when I got older.
Yes, it seemed like everyone was having sex before marriage. WAYYYYY before marriage. And most people were. Many people even thought I was, and spread rumors about me having sex with multiple partners - at church! The nerve! Despite what people thought or said, I stayed true to the promise that I made myself when I was young. Despite the urgings from many young men, I kept my virginity until I was married, with my husband. I am proud to have kept it. I don’t feel like a loser or a weirdo. I feel so lucky and privileged to be one of the few that respected herself enough to keep her clothes on and her legs closed. I feel so blessed to have such a pure and undefiled relationship with my husband. There is no baggage. There are no memories of Exes. I have no strings attached to any other souls out there. There is nothing that I compare him with. I am completely satisfied. I am a prize. I am a treasure. I know my worth. I kept my worth, just for my husband. In so doing, I kept myself from getting pregnant. I kept myself from getting STDs, HIV or AIDS. I kept myself from extreme heartbreak and emotional destruction. I am not going to take all the credit for it either. I was blessed with a very strong will power. When I make up my mind about something, I cannot be persuaded otherwise. Peer pressure does not phase me. I don’t know if that is the German in me or what but I am thankful that God made me into a determined person and gave that desire for me to carry on.

I am not going to say it was easy and I am not going to say it was hard. It was both in different seasons of my life. But I made a promise to myself and I made a promise to God that I would honor the marriage bed and respect myself. I kept my promise. I don’t want you to ever think that it is uncool to stay abstinent from sex until marriage. That is about the coolest thing you could ever do for yourself and for the man that you are going to marry. I don’t want you to ever think that you have to give into a guy because he did something for you. You owe no man anything until, he says “I do” and walks down the aisle with you. You owe it all to yourself to refrain from the stupidity of this culture that throws its pearls before swine on the daily, just to become swine themselves. What the media does not tell us is that you create a soul connection with everyone that you have sex with. Depending on the number of sexual partners that you have had, your soul is now being pulled in 50 different ways. It is intermingled with all your sexual partners and all of their sexual partners and so on and so forth. That is why people are either wacky in the head or numb to the world. Your soul is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions. Premarital sex is the equation that results in confusion, chaos and inner turmoil. Spare yourself and just wait. You are worth so much more than that, beautiful.

Ingredients:
2 cups of Vegetable Broth 1 packet of rice noodles
Your Veggies of Choice: mushrooms, onions, kale, spinach, carrots, celery, jalapeno, and any other veggie your heart desires Spices to Taste: garlic, sea salt, pepper, chilli powder and cayenne pepper 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp lime juice
Instructions:
1. In one pot, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, put in the rice noodles and let them cook for about 7 minutes or until soft enough to cut with a fork.
2. In a second larger pot, combine the vegetable broth, all the veggies, spices, soy sauce and lime juice. Let that cook while the water boils and the noodles cook in the other pot. 3. Once the noodles have finished cooking, drain the starchy water out and transfer them to the pot with the veggies and broth. Let it cook for 2-3 more minutes. 4. After it has cooked, allow it to cool in the bowl for about 5 minutes before you eat and enjoy. Makes 2 servings

Hello Dauntless, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22).” “Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful woman who can find (Proverbs 20:6)?” In a time when one night stands, sleeping with many different male/female partners & not being tied down to one person your whole life is the norm & for many a desired result… I choose the weird option “getting married.” That’s the cool thing about life everyone gets their free will to choose what they want to do with their lives and who they wish to do it with. If you do realize who has rule over the earth, and various media platforms, & which agendas are pushed, and which truths are not being shown, you may begin to understand a little more as to why certain things are shown continuously through movies, t.v. shows and various other forms of entertainment. I had lived THE LIFE prior to meeting my wife and I’m not here to brag but keeping up with multiple versions of the same named girl in your phone gets old, and multiple dates, money spent and for what… a few bragging rights & some messed up spiritual ties...No thank you! I choose to get married because I believe in what the Bible says from the 1st page to the final page. I believe God wants the union between man and female so they can form a stronger bond and stand up to the enemies attacks as team rather than falling alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?” I think it’s awesome to please an eternal God through my actions and how I conduct my life and my choices. I am far from perfect and will always stumble and fall but that’s the beauty of being a human that angels may never understand. I believe it is better to really please and spoil one woman than multiple. It is a lot easier to do and a lot less stressful. My advice is to let God bring your woman to you. I was not searching for anything after my last relationship. My only focus was to make it as an actor, make money & have that nice ride… sound familiar? Elohiem had a different plan for my life that I 68
would have never been able to guess or create via meditation or positive thinking. Most importantly, my advice would be trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your own foolish human understanding of things. Learn to be patient and if you do decide to get married Love her just as Jesus loves us. 1 Corinthians 13:2: “If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.” Be Dauntless, Be Strong, Stay Humble. “May the Lord bless you and keep you. May he make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turn his face towards you and give peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 Stay Dauntless Strong! Peace out,
