This month we wanted you to remember how you have been created for a purpose in this world. Maybe you have never seen yourself in that light. Maybe you have never felt that your life means much. Maybe you used to think that way and then circumstances came and knocked you off your feet. Whatever place you are coming from, read each story with an open heart. You have a purpose. You may not know what your purpose is but the one that created you does. He wants you to live and walk in that purpose. Take some time to talk with him and figure out what he made you for. I hope this month brings you joy as you begin to enter into a new season of life. The season of spring brings growth, new birth and new life. I pray that is what is coming your way. Karissa Hagemeister-Irani is on a life long journey to share love, beauty and truth with the world. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine. Editor-in-Chief of the Dauntless section of the magazine, Arman Irani, married Karissa in June of 2019.

He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. Personally, I had always felt that there was a good variety of choice for consumers when it came to apparel, but the selection of headwear available was either cheap, mass-produced and poor quality, or couture designed and unattainably expensive - there was no middle ground. I began by designing pieces for myself to wear each year, and eventually my combined love of creativity and small business lead me to launch Derby & Power. I’ve been blessed by God to be a Special Needs ELA/Writing Teacher, Songwriter, and Fashion Designer. I started teaching four years ago after graduating from The Ohio State University. I majored in Human Development and Family Sciences with a minor in Fashion and Retail Studies. I saw a need to guide, instruct, and empower children and the Millenials to understand their purpose and self- worth as well as the adults. God blessed me to become a songwriter who writes inspirational and educational hiphop songs, as well as writing a book, (soon to be published), and design hats/jewelry, after both of my parents passed. Writing and designing helped me and my siblings, ( Christopher, Monica, and Erika) to cope with the loss of our parents and to pay homage to our mom, and dad. HOW LADY STEPH GOT STARTED IN THE INDUSTRY:
I design Kentucky Derby and Royal Ascot of London Hats, as well as Mood Color-Changing jewelry. Since my mother, Beverly Anne Chambers, was the epitome of a lady, as well as an Angel sent from God, and my dad, Arthur Daniel Chambers, was a dapper gentleman; it made me want to bring ladylikeness and gentleman behavior and style back to the mainstream of society. I feel that when you dress a certain way it affects your behavior. My belief is that God created everyone with at least one talent in life. Some people may have five or ten talents, or more or less, BUT Everyone has at least one talent to help the betterment of mankind. What’s yours?

When God calls you to your Purpose: He. Has. Called. You. To. It. Period. Nothing...nothing can alter His decision...not even your input. In spite of how we feel about our Purpose and/or ourselves, perceive ourselves, know of and/or recently learned about ourselves; what He has called you to: He. Has. Called. You. Specifically. To. It. Often times, I think that we really do not put into perspective that we’re dealing with an omnipotent God, an all knowing God, who already foreknew of the different troubles, snares, twists, turns, ups/downs and/or hurts we would encounter while we are moving towards our Purpose. He already determined your Purpose before you becoming acquainted with it. He’s the same God that knew you before you were conceived by your parents “Jeremiah 1: 5 KJV” And His idea for your life is not of evil but to bring you to an expected end.“ Jeremiah 29:11 KJV ” What He has willed for your life is a successful, bountiful and joyous end.” An end, a Purpose, that He has already searched out knowing from an eternal aspect-it is good for you. It works for you. An end that will forever reward and supply you. Not a Purpose that will bring stress, confusion, turmoil, anxiety, depression, oppression, compression and/or toxicity. For He does not call death/evil upon us but Life/righteousness on us. God is a great God that calls His people to great things and to do BIG things. Nine times out of ten, anything that you can achieve on your own without His help...may actually be a mundane thing. You see, God loves to show out fashionably with and through His children. He loves utilizing the overlooked, the counted out, the imperfect and/or non preferred to perform the greatest works so others (for the advancement of the kingdom) can see the manifestation of Him and His glory. Your Purpose Has A Purpose!

Think back on Moses, who had a stammering tongue that was selected by God to be the bold, eloquent, articulate and authoritative mouthpiece of God. He was to go before Pharaoh to tell him to release God’s people from slavery and to let them go. Now for modern times, present times, Judge Mathis, a credible and celebrity reality judge that started out as a young troubled African American male, had dropped out of school due to bad grades, ran the streets and participated in the gang life, a life full of crime and violence, credits his turnaround to God and the Purpose He willed for his life, supplying him with the mentors and resources needed to turn his life around to get passing grades to attend and graduate from Law School to later become the present day judge we see today having a heart and focus for the same young men he once was...Your Purpose Has A Purpose! And to come into the knowledge of your Purpose having a Purpose, all God wants you/us to do is simply trust Him and believe that He is guiding you/ us accordingly to our expected end...our Purpose. Nothing catches Him by surprise....us...yes...Him...no! The same God that spoke the Earth and Heaven into existence, is the same God that created the Grasshopper and is the same God that knows why He preselected you for a time such as this...your tailor made Purpose! So, the next time you find yourself wanting to jump ship mid sail or inquire, “God, why me...why this?” Rethink and boldly ask yourself out loud rhetorically for your being to hear and internalize, “Why not me for this?” After all, There’s a Purpose for Your Purpose! And, know that it is all good!

Have you ever dreamed of being something more? Someone legendary? A voyager traveling long distances to who knows where. An explorer seeking ancient ruins for treasures of the past. A conquistador living life on the edge of expansion. Lands after lands. Journey after journey. Nights below the stars and days filled with adventure. Does that not sound enticing? Yet every legend has a beginning marked by a momentous event that changed their life forever. Like an ember that ignites a roaring flame, so does a passion and purpose within each of our lives. There will be moments where we will tend to question whether or not this is it. The humorous thing about this tendency is that despite our current placement in life, God already created us to be Adventurers. In the Gospels, He tells us to go out to all nations and bring the good news to all living things. That sounds like a journey to me. He also tells us in Jeremiah that He knows the plans He has for us and they are all wonderful things. This reassures us that our heavenly Father created us with a purpose, and that purpose is your call to action. Although you may not see it yet, this does not mean its not already there. You are an Adventurer by creation and design with a purpose out of this world.

Life of Purpose By Karissa Hagemeister-Irani What is the reason you are on this earth? Everything on earth has a purpose. Bowls are made for mixing in, eating out of and aiding in baking as well as many other activities. Grass is for animals to eat, people to enjoy laying out in the sun on, for bugs and other little creatures to hide in, as well as many other things. If these simple and somewhat forgettable things have a purpose to them, then should we as humans, the ones running this planet, not have even more purpose to our lives? Well, we do. However, I am not sure that many people know about this purpose that we each hold. The purpose of life is not to go through school, get married, have kids and work a job until you die. What kind of a life is that? There are very few people that have and that are living a life with purpose. The great thing is, you do not have to start living out your purpose as soon as you are born. Most people do not. You can start at any time. But the trick is finding what your purpose is. We each have purpose, but not everyone’s purpose is going to be the same. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do,” (NIV). This verse gives us three clues: first it points to our story from January 2020, we are God’s creation, handiwork, masterpiece. Second, it shows that we were each created to do good works. Third, God had each of our purposes prepared in advance for us to do. So he knows his specific plan for your life. He is the one you will go to, to discover it. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV). This verse reaffirms that God has a plan and purpose for your life. It is a plan of good, and it will give you hope and a future.

This is a verse that I have loved and held onto for many years. I went through a few rough patches where it did not seem that God had a purpose for me. I did not understand the pain of life and I could not see past it. But I am so thankful that my purpose was not depending on me to see it. It was depending on God to bring me through my pain, so he could bring me to my purpose. You have heard me say it before but it is very true, this magazine is a big part of my purpose. There are also some other really great things that God says about his people, those of us who love him, in the Bible. These are promises of his love towards us and his purpose for each of our lives. “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession,” (Deuteronomy 14:2 NIV). “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light,” (1 Peter 2:9 NIV). These verses show that we are special to the Lord. He has chosen us. We has brought us into a life of light. We are his possession. God takes great care in that which he possesses. You may remember this verse from last month, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose,” (Romans 8:28 NIV). God is working for good on your behalf, and he has a purpose just for you. As God is working all things for good for you, we know that he will carry on the good work until the end. “The Lord works out everything to its proper end—” (Proverbs 16:4a NIV). Wherever you are on the journey of life, God has a purpose for you. Whether you have tapped into it or not, God has a purpose for you. Seek him because he only has good planned for you. As long as you are following his plan, you will experience the good he has for your life.

Date Night @ Chuy’s By Karissa Hagemeister-Irani Taco Tuesday Everyday We went to Chuy’s for the first time a few weeks ago. We both enjoy tacos, nachos and fun hispanic foods so Chuy’s was not a disappointment. We went there with both of our families and everyone tried something different. Karissa had the beef tacos made in the freshly made tortillas. The ladies were making the tortillas right there in front of everyone. It was a really unique and neat experience to watch them make the taco shells. Not many places use freshly made taco shells and even if they claim to, one can never be too sure because no other restaurant that we have been to lets you watch as they make them. That experience just added to the whole ambiance of the place. Another fun fact about Chuy’s is their cute and corny T-shirts that they sell there. Most of them have something to do with tacos. Arman really enjoyed the shirts, especially the Star Wars themed shirts. Arman tried their Chuchanga with their signature sauce. It was huge and Arman is a foodie but even he was having a hard time finishing it all. The sauce cannot go without mention. The sauce was good but spicy, even for people that eat spicy food on the regular. They also give you chips and salsa when you sit down and even the salsa that they serve has quite a bit more spice to it than regular salsas you would get at other restaurants. But if you are not big on spicy you can ask for some more milder options 52
and they have this really good ranch dip that has only a tiny kick to it. The last thing you should know about dining at Chuy’s is that they have this interesting way of cleaning their silverware. They come in these little packets and it says on the packets that they have been disinfected. I would recommend you look them over carefully though because they normally have old food still on them. Other than that, eating at Chuy’s was quite tasty and enjoyable for all. I think we will bring our own silverware next time. 53

B&D Honeymooners: Castaway Cay, Disney’s Island by the Irani’s Castaway Cay was probably our favorite stop for the whole cruise. It was so relaxing to get off the ship and be the only cruise docked at the island. Castaway Cay is owned by Disney so there are not tons of people living there and no other boats dock there that are not part of Disney Cruise Line. We got off the boat early in the morning to run the Castaway Cay 5K. If you have never been on a Disney Cruise before you probably do not know that they have a 5K you can run. It is free to anyone on the boat to run and you do not have to wake up super early like you do for other Disney races. You can run it at your pace and it gives you a good glimpse of the island so you can decide where you want to play after the race. You also get a medal at the end but it is not really made of metal. After the race, we had the opportunity to go to the Adult Only section of the island. It was very peaceful there. The water was so crystal clear and beautiful. We wanted to take some of the bikes out for a ride around the island but we decided to relax for the rest of the day. We ended up getting a little more sun than we needed but it was worth it. They do feed you lunch for free on the island and there are three different spots that you can choose to eat. The food was delicious and the whole experience was just phenomenal. If you ever just take a cruise to Castaway Cay it will be well worth it. We loved every minute of it. Disney is the way to cruise.

MUJADARA Ingredients: 1/3 cup olive oil 4 or 5 large onions, halved and thinly sliced (use a mandoline or other food slicer if you have one) Salt A pinch of freshly ground black pepper 1 1/2 cups brown or green lentils, sorted and rinsed 1 1/4 cups long-grain white rice Plain yogurt or sour cream, for serving

Instructions: 1. Heat the olive oil in a very large nonstick skillet over low heat. When the oil simmers, add the onions and cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, which should be about 15 to 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 2. Meanwhile, bring 4 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan and add the lentils. Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, then add the rice and half the cooked onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, covered, over very low heat until the lentils and rice are tender, about 20 minutes. 3. While the rice and lentils are cooking, cook the onions remaining in the skillet over low heat, stirring often, until dark brown and almost crispy. 4. Serve hot or at room temperature, with browned onions sprinkled on top. Add a dollop of the yogurt or sour cream to cool the dish down.

MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES INGREDIENTS: 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 egg 1/2 cup of plain yogurt 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 2 cups all-purpose gluten free flour 2 tsp mint extract 10-15 drops green coloring (optional) 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips DIRECTIONS:
Mix together sugar and butter. Add egg, yogurt and pudding mix. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt & baking soda. Once mixed well, combine both the flour and pudding mixtures together. Add mint extract and food coloring (optional) until desired color is achieved. Add in chocolate chips. (You can also use Andes baking chips for an extra minty combination). Drop inch round cookies onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack and enjoy. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. 67

Created for a Purpose By Arman Irani What if I told you… you were created for a purpose. There is meaning to your life behind all the struggles, all the battles you have faced. There is a reason why God has done it. Lol I’m sure some of you probably don’t believe me. And you should not believe me for I am just a man, but I will tell you one scripture I’ve engraved on my heart, “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’” (Jeremiah 29:11 NLT). I hope this scripture gives you as much hope no matter what your current situation may look like. Remember God wants us to be Faithful to him and trust in him since the beginning of creation this has been the theme woven through the fabric of the Bible. Story after story wants us to understand that God will always make a way for us, his people. Thank God we were able to be grafted into his family. He can still split the sea. Let me tell you it’s okay to be upset, and angry with God if things don’t work the way you think they should… but remain humble my friends for God is always working in our favor and in the ways that will be most beneficial to help us accomplish our purpose here on earth. In case you think that “others” have all the fun, I wouldn’t be so quick to judge others because we don’t know what the “others” are going through. “Remember that The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster,” (Proverbs 16:4 NLT). You see God already knew about all the things that you and me would face and has given us ways to protect ourselves from the enemy. This is a spiritual battle we fight not only a physical one… fun stuff right?! Thank God we serve the team that wins the final match for eternal life and whatever we face in this lifetime, remember God’s always with us… “This is my

Bro wherever we go we have God’s presence to keep us safe and protected from things we can not see and we have his blessings to do well in this lifetime. I’m a firm believer that Abba is not stupid. That he is righteous and the way his mind works is far more superior than ours will ever be. In saying that I hope you, the reader, understand this “ In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.” (Matthew 5:45 NLT). So for this year of 2020 don’t complain about your situation but pray honestly from your heart to God & be thankful before you even see things change in the physical be thankful that God is in control. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT). Be Worship Warriors this month fellow Dauntless Men. I chose L.A. Fitness as my workout home because I want the best possible equipment and environment to workout in. I definitely recommend L.A. Fitness to anyone who is serious about their workouts, getting in shape and losing weight.
If you follow along with this workout, you will be getting a great workout in for your chest, legs and abs. I would recommend doing 5 sets of 12 for each one. Don’t forget to warm up with lighter weight first and increase. Push yourself to go a little heavier every time you workout because this is how your muscles will grow.

Her mother would tell her and her siblings that, “People don’t have the luxury to sit around and eat bon bons all day; they need to find their purpose in life and make a positive difference.” When she started teaching she would let her students know that they don’t have the luxury to bully, be disrespectful and unkind to their parents and people in general, or get suspended because someone is going to take their spot on obtaining a successful life that they could’ve had if only they treated others as they would want to be treated. Parents, students, teachers, and people, in general, love the song. Lady Steph’s goal is to let people know that the true luxuries in life are intangible, such as being kind to others, promoting peace and goodwill, and being healthy in your mind, body, and spirit. Her belief is that once you focus on the intangible luxuries then the tangible or material luxuries will come if that is what you want. Her brother Christopher (pictured to the right), is her support, and lead hip-hop choreographer. He has been the true patriarch of their family with their parents being gone. DAUN LESS Hope this month is going well for you. I just wanted to encourage you to remain in God’s will. Even if you have backslidden or gone off the narrow path there is still hope to get right with Abba. He loves you more than you can imagine. We will never even fully understand this until we die, but at least when we go out we know who will be there to embrace us. Don’t let the world’s wisdom fool you into thinking what is right/wrong. It has and always will be God’s Righteousness and his judgement that allows for the eternal choice for your soul. The great news is, he has already given you the bridge to eternal life thanks to his son Jesus Christ! So brothers I pray and hope that Elohiem continues to show himself ever present in your life and shine on your circumstances. I pray that when things ain’t going so great you remind yourself who is the true King and who created you for a purpose. Our human wisdom is finite and ever changing but God’s is eternal and infinite. Stick with the Alpha and the Omega and stay blessed forever. Blessings for you and your families.
