HELLO
What a joy it is to be called precious by our Lord, Savior, Creator, Lover and Friend. Just the word “precious” brightens my day. I need a lot of brightness in these dark times. I hope you are keeping your head up and staying strong, beautiful. There is a lot of fear and chaos just running around like crazy in our world. The best thing we can do, and the most important thing we can do is spend time with the one that calls us precious. Spend as much time with him right now as you can. Spend less time on social media and watching the news. Those sources of entertainment or draining and not life giving. If you need to, get away from everything and everyone. Even if it is just for a few hours or minutes. And thank God for being with you and your family during these times. I love you and I constantly keep you in my prayers. Karissa Hagemeister-Irani is on a life long journey to share love, beauty and truth with the world. She enjoys modeling, acting and singing. She has her own fashion line and in July of 2016, Karissa published her first book. Her future plans are to revamp the fashion & entertainment industry with the love, truth and beauty through both her fashion business and Beautiful & Dauntless magazine. Editor-in-Chief of the Dauntless section of the magazine, Arman Irani, married Karissa in June of 2019.

Arman loves working out, cooking healthy, dressing up, traveling and he’s also a bit of a gamer. He has no qualms with moving in faith to new destinations and embarking on new adventures in life (as the phrase goes, you only live once!). When it comes down to it, Arman believes life is short and hopes that you become inspired and believe in yourself to do the things that you want in this life and follow your calling.

Arnette German is a native of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. She took her leap of faith and finally decided to yield to her passion for fashion by enrolling in the online Graduate Program of Fashion Journalism at Academy Art University in San Francisco, California. No stranger to the stage, Arnette is a member of the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida. Presently calling Bradenton, Florida home, Arnette spends her free time either volunteering at her local church and spending time with friends and family, especially her best friend. I am sorry. Presently, normalcy is temporarily out of order due to the global pandemic of the intrusion of the Coronavirus. What was once deemed and known as regular is now obsolete and a faint memory to society. Consistent alterations and implementations are the new norms that remain thrust upon our lives. The daily sight of face masks. The empty shelves of rubbing alcohol or the absence of hand sanitizer if one arrived too late after a restocking. An influx of bothered facial expressions made if one hears one cough and/or sneeze too many times to the droves of individuals either working for industries deemed essential. An interruption of their fiscal life when lockdowns occurred sadly to the millions that became furloughed prior to the executive quarantines and since are still at a standstill after state openings. Worshipping regularly online now...without choice. These are the daily obstacles having to be overcome. Again. I. Am. Sorry. Sorry for wherever you find yourself in this pandemic. Know you are in my prayers. But, did you know what is being experienced is not your battle to win? Your choice in how you view you plays a contributing role in how you get through and prevail over this. No day goes by that choices are not present and a constant. As we embark on this Covid-19 journey together, from the moment we open eyes, for some, deciding upon what will be done that day with their counterparts contemplating what will be worn to work...deciding to see if they will even utilize energy to see if their stimulus check has arrived...decisions...big and/or small...are readily waiting and needing to be embraced and executed.

However, it is in the choices made that speaks volumes about us...where our peace lies and tenacity derives from. As we do not specifically know what a day entails for us, one thing for sure change and not knowing is a known. Simply because of Covid-19, instability is the norm. However, deciding to choose worry, fear and hopelessness shouldn’t be. Why? Because you’re invaluable and precious to God...”bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s,” facilitates in knowing you will withstand this,” (I Corinthians 6:10,KJV). Please understand, wherever the Coronavirus has placed you, the choice on what you do to get through this determines how you see you. Embracing that God cares for you, knowing that in spite of, He will not forget you and not be of help and comfort to you. He will be there every step of the way. He will supply all of your needs. If you’re not working does not mean He loves you less than your brother or sister working. It does mean that He will show you He is your/the Source...if you let Him. You do not have to take any matters into your hands-let your faith be activated and let it do the work for you! Let Him fight this battle for you. Place your trust in Him so peace, strength and sweet rest can be yours! Please do not allow yourself, others or even thoughts or past beliefs make you feel He will not and can not come through because He will as He always does! No one knows why this epidemic has occurred exactly but one thing for sure-He knows His own. And it does not matter, if you are red, yellow black or white, if you are His-you are definitely priceless and special to Him and He got you! So, I ask, “Precious...why don’t you let the Lord show you just how precious you are to Him...okay?”

SKY ADKINS I am Sky, the CEO/Founder of Sky Modeling School & Elegance on the Runway Fashion Show birthed in 2018. I am a Native of Lafayette, LA. I have been modeling for over 5 years. My career started with an organization called THE BEAT fashion show. It was in honor of Cancer Survivors. I was selected as one of the models. Following the show some modeling scouts contacted me and began my career from there. My mother B. Cole is my biggest supporter and attended the first show. My mother went with me to John Casablanca Modeling Center. I attended there for 2 years and then branched out on my own. I am a member of the CLW Forty Plus Models Inc. an organization that gives scholarships to senior graduates. I enjoy dancing. I am an inspirational dancer, motivational speaker, and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends doing different festivities. I am a mother of two. My youngest is 18 Timothy Clark and my oldest is 23 Xaviera Clark. I am married to Lebray who is a photographer of Lebray Photography and Filmworks. I have a degree in Accounting Finance, I am an Accounting Controller for an Oil & Gas company. Remember to follow your dreams and know when you think you can’t…. God says you can. By Karissa Hagemeister-Irani As a young girl, I remember hearing that we are precious in God’s sight. I did not fully understand it but I did like the sound of it. It was nice to have a God that created me and called me precious.
But, what does it mean to be precious?
Calling someone or something precious can mean different things depending on who is saying it. But what does it mean when God calls you precious? I was doing some studying preparing to write this and as I was reading through different verses, I came across this one and it stood out to me. Psalm 145:17-21 is a great depiction of how precious we are to God. “The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.” (Psalm 145:17-21). In my own life, God has shown me how precious I am to him in very different times of my life. He let me know how special I was to him and how special my life was to him when I was growing up and felt so alone and scared because my parents were divorced. He was there to hold me tight each night and he helped open my eyes and my mind to the realization that I was needed on this earth. I did have a purpose. He did not create anything without a purpose. He specifically created a special destiny and purpose for each person that comes on this earth. 26

At another point in my life, I forgot who I was because I let a boy make me feel worthless. I was crushed and confused. In the deepest pain, Jesus met me and reminded me who I was in him. He healed my heart when I thought it could never be whole again. This is when his purpose for my life began to unfold. I have watched God move mountains for me, working things in my favor. Not because I am special or even because I deserved them. I truly believe it was as this verse says, because I love him and I live my life to honor and glorify him. I have messed up. There were times when I was living for myself because it looked fun and everyone else was doing it. But I quickly found that it only made life more painful. He is always willing to help me turn from my mistakes and from my sins. I am grateful that he does not give up on us when we make a mistake. He calls us precious. Even when we slip up, he sees our heart. If your heart is to truly love and honor him, he will save you and preserve you. But if your heart is not desiring to love him, it will be counted as wicked. It will be turned over to the most wicked of all, and it will be destroyed. I know it is not popular to have a god higher than yourself in this day and age. But popularity is not going to get you into Heaven. God does not see that as precious. He sees it as wicked.
Do you want to be precious in the eyes of the Creator?
The choice is and has always been yours.

Have you ever paid attention to the game of Chess? Honestly, it’s a game that I never understood nor did I ever feel an inclination to learn how to play it properly. Yet, when confronted with the topic of uniqueness and the idea of beauty, the game chess seemed fitting after a conversation I had with my family. You see, within chess the board is composed of two teams and each member of each team has it’s specific role and capabilities. Although your team has amazing pieces such as a Knight, a Rook, or even a Bishop every piece is significant. You have your King who, although may be limited, becomes your objective to protect. Your Queen is your empowered piece of strategic advantage if used properly. Then there are your pawns. It is the Pawn that I want to focus on a bit. Notice how, you have a whole row of pawns in front of the rest the more advantageous pieces on the board. The pawns tend to be over looked. They may be perceived as expendable or as the necessary sacrifice. The word pawn itself comes with a negative connotation attached referring to something/someone that is used for the sake of someone else’s personal gain. An unfortunate piece to be by the sound of it, but the Pawn is unique. If and when a pawn piece reaches far enough on the opposing side they are the only piece on the board that can change its fate, if you will. The pawn piece can become any of the other more advantageous pieces. This means that a “mere pawn” can become a Queen. There may have been, or will be, moments in our lives where we feel like a pawn in this big world. We may feel expendable and easily replaced by others that appear to be grander and more impressive, but know that you are separated to be unique and it is in your uniqueness that you will find your inner beauty to ascend to royalty. You are fearfully and wonderfully made and the King of Kings has destined you for greater things. You are precious in the hands of the Lord. You may feel like a Pawn in the moment but you are Kings and Queens. 31

Veggie Fajitas Ingredients: 1 can black beans, drained 8-12 small corn tortillas 1 avocado, sliced 1 bowl sour cream 1 bowl of salsa For the fajita mix: 1 red pepper, cut into thin strips 1 jalapeno, cut into small bits 1 tbsp oil 1 red onion, cut into thin wedges 1 garlic clove, crushed ½ tsp chilli powder ½ tsp paprika ½ tsp ground cumin 1 lemon, juiced

Instructions: 1. To make the fajita mix, heat the oil in a pan and fry the garlic, jalapeno, pepper strips and the onion until soft and starting to brown at the edges. Cool slightly and mix in the other ingredients. Stir. Cook for a couple of minutes, then add half the lemon juice. Transfer to a dish, leaving all juices behind, and keep it warm. 2. Pour the can of black beans into the same pan, then add the remaining lemon juice and plenty of seasoning. Stir the beans around the pan to warm them through and help them absorb any flavours of the fajita mix. 3. Warm the tortillas in the oven for a few minutes at 350 degrees. Serve the tortillas with the fajita mix, beans, avocado, salsa and sour cream. Everyone can help themselves.

Fight the Good Fight By Arman Irani I know the world can be a scary place… even for us men who are taught not to fear or be afraid of things, but sometimes things like roaches, spiders or simple/complex decisions can be scary. I’m here to remind you what the Lord has already told you in his Word. We are Precious in his eyes. He created us each as unique masterpieces to bring glory to his name who reigns above all and will continue to reign when we die. The one and only Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end and the most loving God we could ever serve. When life gets complex or the spirit of fear or anxiety comes upon you, remember that God didn’t’ give you those things. Those are devices from the enemy that are used to wreak havoc upon your life. Learn to nip it in the bud by using Bible verses, changing your situation if possible, and most importantly your mindset. Using worship music is a great tool to battle the enemy and I use it daily. You see, Abba has given us weapons to defend ourselves in the day to day spiritual battles we face because God did not set us up for failures. “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43: 1-2 NLT)

Now I personally don’t know the details of your life and what paths you will take or what you choose to follow and believe. I know that we all have been given the gift of free will and the ability to use our minds in how we live our lives. However if you’re tracking with me you understand that there are spiritual battles we face daily, that we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood but spiritual principalities ... it’s best to be on the side that ultimately wins and that is Jesus team (Spoiler alert) lol. I personally feel though if we choose to walk on the path that God wants us to walk upon he will keep us protected, strengthened and successful. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago,” (Ephesians 2:10 NLT).
That’s our Abba. It’s amazing to think of the wonders that maybe in Heaven are waiting for us and to be as blessed as we are now to just know the Truth of God while we are still alive. I thank God for my life and for giving me the ability to share my thoughts with you guys. I hope these words find their way to your heart and something resonates with your soul to lead you out of darkness and into the light. Brothers, I pray for you to continue the good fight and may you and your families stay blessed on your journeys in Jesus name, amen!

DAUN LESS The Lord and King Jesus Christ says we are precious in his sight. He will leave the 99 for the 1 so don’t lose hope in these dark times. Stop searching for a new “normal” and understand that we are in the end times. Hold tight to the Truth of the Bible, love your neighbor and make peace not war. Create more peace amongst your families and people you interact with. Everyone is entitled to their opinions of what is happening, what is true/ false. Only the Holy Spirit can lead people to the cross where the true salvation can be found. Our job is to be a light to the world and point people who are lost to the light of Jesus. We are in a battle for souls, not race, gender or anything else they are trying to distract us with. Our lives are finite in the true test of eternity.. Don’t get left behind because you are just trying to fit in and be like the rest. Our Father didn’t call us to be the same but to be different. If these words and reverberating with your spirit it is God speaking to you and letting you know how precious you are to him. Have you ever made something and felt accomplished and good and proud of whatever you did and created? Well guess what… I’m sure God feels the same way about us and he is so forgiving and paid the ultimate price for our souls, covering us in the blood which is pure enough to keep us from going to Hell. The wages of sin is death… but thank Jesus Christ he saved us and made us intricately woven in our mother’s womb so that we can fulfill his purpose for our lives.
