Co-Leaders: Joe Whitaker (478-7990) & Emily & Tom Teasdale (607-2861) Newsletter Editor: Jody Bukacek (755-5756) St Stephens Presbyterian Church 2424 NW 50th (NW 50th & Villa) Sunday, Nov 20th, 2011 - 2:30 P.M. The NMSS has provided our groups with a great DVD and book from the North American Education Program, "Working for Me, Research in Understanding & Treating Progressive Multiple Sclerosis." This is a great educational opportunity that we hope you will learn from. Dec 4th will be our holiday party starting at 2:00. The meal will be catered by Chip and he always has a great meal for us. The cost is $12 per person and I need to have reservations by our meeting so that he knows how much food to fix. If you care to participate we will also do our gift exchange in the $5 range. This is always a great way to start out the holiday season. The Government Relations Committee is busy working on our day at the Capital which will be Tuesday, Feb 21st. We will start the day with a 2 hour training session with Joe Gagnon at the OKC office and then lunch. People will be bussed to the Capital at 12:30 to visit with our legislators. I had the opportunity to preview this training in Dallas and it was very interesting to learn what all it takes to make an impact on our elected officials. Our MS Walk is scheduled for May 5th at the OKC Zoo. The committee had their first meeting and we are always looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in getting involved our next meeting will be Jan 19th at the OKC office. You can contact Lucy Fraser or Christy Racy to get involved. More Info On OKC Walk MS
