The idea is to capture and to create a new space of interaction from an existing place of influence. It is a space where an influx of people and their culture both their cultural of upbringing and embedded socio cultural heritage come and blend together to create, add and may alter the existing of existence of the place cultural heritage to give a new mark of meaning. Meaning of new existence, its past both its people and history, present and the future of the place toward the space as whole. It could be a visible space as mark by the boundary of the visible barriers- building, canal, and its inhabitant community. Yet, it also has invisible space that marked by its invisible barrier/bubble- the sky and cultural bubble that people/community bring and built around the place. To capture could be fact and imaginative ways, fact to see the place-crowd as it is, and imaginative ways is the way to see the space/place from its debris, history, fragment from the past and then arrangerearrange and may built according to the audience perception, reception toward to those debris. Flip flop Flip flop= n. type of open sandal with a strap that goes between the big toe and the next toe. Flip=v. - something- turn something over quickly. Flop= v. sit or lie down heavily and clumsily. (Oxford advanced learner's dictionary, Oxford University Press 1989). Flip flop= reversible stool + tray with rubber fastener join (inspired by the sandal strap function). The design idea is to create a functional light and mobile stool- tray for any occasion. It is a simply minimalist furniture design that was inspired both from traditional craftsmanship ingenuity and modernity simplicity- inner beauty point of view. It can be made from wood, mould plastic or combination of materials. It is fun to assembly yet comfortable and functional while in use yet it is very friendly both for the user in term of cost and for the environment in term of material being used-production and its life circle.

It will create a memorable moment that will seduce the chocolate lover or ordinary people to take one to another bites. It made with exotic fruit and less sugar content, to make these chocolate collection suitable for whole family consumption. This concept can be achieved through its open space design concept, transparent-translucent materials and enclosure lighting system, and its integrated air circulation system. It is an open space that can cater multi functions on the same spot and can become a new hot spot for its vicinity, and for people gathering while experimenting or searching/shopping their new fashion outfit. It is a new intertwining private and public space concept shop, private as it has function as speciality shop for Benetton's product brand and its customers, while on another occasion it will become public as it can become a stage or gathering place for people to enjoy the experience Benetton's lifestyle concept wants to offer. The path that linkage the ground floor with rooftop gallery has function as the path to the rooftop and as the catwalk during the new product launch, and as the main lighting centre for the whole room beside its main function as the design structured (load bearing) replacing supporting beams. The design idea is to create a small floating world (nature- human-air/invisible space) that has essence as the source of energy (LED lighting ring system) that has capability to radiate its own beauty (fibre optic mesh) to its vicinity. During the day, we can see dim light from the Cloud due to bright sky cast, however during grey day or afternoon when sky cast not that bright we can see a bright light emerge and glowing from the essence of the Cloud, and it will last until the power from the solar cell deteriorated. It will operate in circle daily, bright sky no bright light, afternoon it will glow slowly to great the dawn, and will be bright fully when the night fall.

Neverland is a stick on (has similar function as 3M -post me notepad) on demand wallpaper that made from laser cut special material (mixture of polymer and paper/fabric) for its durability and function. Siracusa instead Syracuse, to make differentiate with the Syracuse in the US. Idea keywords: Sea, land, air, Italy, dolve vita (good life), coffee, Mediterranean, medieval, baroque, simplicity, complexity, inner beauty, ingenuity, modernity, tradition, and sea culture. Design concept: The design idea is to create a new image of the city of Siracusa (Syracuse), Sicily, Italy, an image that can bring a new birth to its long history of cultural heritage due to its location and proximity, and capable to radiate its beauty as whole. Siracusa new image will be showcasing medieval cultural archaeological heritage that showing its past sea power of Mediterranean, as one of starting point inspiration, as this cultural heritage identity will make it own brand or identity and as self introduction or statement how the Siracusa want to be known, recognised and remembered. This new branding system is also to emphasis its new rebirth of cultural heritage and socio cultural attraction to the world yet celebrating its Italian" la dolce vita" lifestyle as one of its cultural heritage root. The design change I of Siracusa with shape of castle to symbolise the location, identity and also to symbolise Italy culture. Colour, in order to give self-introduction of the city the designer using Italian's flag colours: red, green and white. Red= heart, sun= the heart of Siracusa's people and Italian in general= welcoming, warm, lots of sunshine. Green= nature=choosy, relaxation, natural beauty, pure/virgin. White=air, sky= this colour will become invisible colour, therefore the brand will have this third colour when in use, it means because of its location-Siracusa, Sicily, Italy, this brand will make sense. It is an invisible bubble, which encourages people to enter, challenge and experience it in order to create their own personal unforgettable moments and memory of the place= embedded invisible beauty and cultural heritage that remains, that needs to discover and will become visible when people come to the place.

Nomad, me is about self-statement/ego of the user toward his vicinity and how he will intertwine with its society. The idea is to create a complete day wear outfits- body wear that can communicate seamlessly to each others in order to create a personal statement and personal satisfaction for being mobile and independent. Body wear essential: eye glasses, clothing, smart city body wear bag, watch, and sandals-shoes. -Eye glasses= sun glasses/ day glasses= frame made from carbon fibre and titanium for glasses frame and joints, for lightness and durability. Glasses can be made for colour and image on demand according to the user mood via Bluetooth system (interact with city body wear bag). While at the end of the ears holder frame has integrated microphone that can interact with mobile phone, MP3 to create ambience sound.

The design idea is to create a flexible binding system- organiser for periodical journal, magazine or documents (bound). It can be expandable-reducible according to the journal numbers and need. It will have additional protective dust covers and label for better organization and storage. Its flexible fastening system will allow the user to stick in/out the journal/magazine into the link. It is a simple, yet ingenuous and affordable daily life product for the end user due to its function flexibility and for the environment as it will have less end product waste considering its function and its raw material being used as it can be use and reuse again for different editions and end users for longer period of time.



2. The Capsule©11.07.07 The Capsule: reusable medicine container. Capsule=box, case, protective covering, receptacle (Oxford English Etymology). Capsule= n. small soluble case containing medicine, detachable compartment, plant's seed case (Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus). The design idea is to create a reusable container for existing product that may produce the biggest waste end product from our daily lives- the medicine containers. Therefore instead individually packed, it will use airborne refill packaging system for temporary transport from the factory to the end user then it will be transferred to the container that they already have at home-the capsule. This system will reduce the end product waste and packaging cost that means it will save cost for the medicine production cost, the end user money and for the environment. The Capsule made from recyclable mould plastic with anti bacteria treatment on its surfaces. Its simple shape and colour will give add value to the interior design and for the user it will reduce their pressure for medication period even may help them to recover soon (in case of sickness).

Nude= not formally attested (English etymology-oxford), raw, self, bare, essence, stark/desolate/empty, unprotected, uncovered, genuine. Nude=floating easy chair=ego, self, freedom, inner beauty. The design idea is to create a playful minimalist yet functional and elegant furniture design for home and office. The design was inspired by human body itself, how we creates an invisible support when we are on seating gesture, while at the same time releasing all movement and freedom restriction we may have with normal chair. Nude is creating a real chair from our imaginative chair, as we seat or flow on the air. It floats as result of intervention of two magnetic fields that located on the bottom of the seater and another one that located on the top of the base. On the base it has positive pole, while on the bottom of the seater has two magnetic poles: negative and positive, the negative that located on the centre will become the holder of the seater to keep on the location while the positive that located on the border of the negative magnetic field will keep the seater floating. It is a functional empty invisible space that has ingenuity and inner beauty that teases our curiosity and imagination (= nude).

The opera of the dawn was inspired by sunflower, how it will move according to the sun light direction. Opera of dawn has propeller that containing LED (s) and solar cell to create continuous movement and light. The movement of the propeller from the wind energy will create power for LED(s) and for the propeller both for its directional movement and for the pole movement, while energy from the solar cell will be then storage on a battery located on the pole that can automatically load power to the propeller movement and LED(s) when wind power may be not adequate for the whole system to operate. The propeller will move according to the sun light direction thanks to the light sensor located on the top of the propeller. Together, the opera of the dawn will create a daily giant animated open space opera to greed and revealing the unforgettable dawn delight both from land and air of that vicinity.

The design idea was inspired by an imaginative bridge of book's pages that was created when we flip one page to another page. This virtual bridge can be created by cutting out part of one page and then joining to next facing page insertion, vice versa in order to create a reciprocal bridge that creates a flexible yet strong bridge that connecting those two pages. Using that idea, flip me is a foldable aluminium sheet with laser cut that can be flip able in order to create a reciprocal bridge where books will be located (functioning as portable book holder). Walking person laser cut ornamentation will emphasize the initial idea of the creation, as it will change direction when flip me unpacked and assembled. Rubber fastener/holder will be function as the fastener when the flip me packed and then become a holder stopper when flip me unpacked and assembled.




-May, Rotational Design Competition, Italy, "bon bon", easy chair-ambience light. Bon- bon © 16.05.2007 Bon- bon= easy chair, ambience light for indoor or outdoor use. Bon- bon keywords= candy, gum, jellyfish, temptation, inner beauty, curiosity, imagination. Bon- bon was inspired by jellyfish for its shape and structural uniqueness, and also for its movement. Bon- bon is a functional easy chair-ambient light that made from rotational mould flexible translucent polymer, while its structure made from solid flexible polymer. Bon- bon outer surface can be decorated according to the user taste, it will use laser cut pattern maker and then the insertion will be filled with fiberoptic liquid as inlay. Together with LED lighting system that can be installed later on that located on the bottom of the bon-bon, this fiberoptic pattern will be able to glow to expose its inner beauty, beauty for its functionality, minimalism and ingenuity. This LED lighting system will be powered by re-chargeable battery storage system for its compactness and lightness. Bon-bon is an easy chair-ambience light that functional yet teasing the viewer/ user curiosity and imagination.

Hao- hao character was inspired by red panda due to its character, uniqueness, and its symbolism of the China wildness diversities. The design idea is to create a mascot that can represent Chinese culture/philosophy (inner beauty) or its natural richness, yet be able to represent China in modern contemporary world (its role in the modern world). Why red panda? Red panda can represent China natural diversities, yet also represent power, energy, dynamism, cooperation, and also as a symbol of the good quality of the environment where they inhabit. Hao- hao, will represent modern Chinese to welcoming the world to come to China and together to build a better and enjoyable world for the future generation.

Title: cut out Cut out= to remove, to stop, to interrupt, to stop functioning, patterning. Keywords: strip, remove, human right (essence of the human being virtue), separate, isolate. The poster design idea is to create an image of human- an ordinary human being as part of the society that already being labelled as terrorist, to remove he/she from the society and removing his/her human essence (being naked morally) in order to disable his/her ability to live normally as human being in the greater society. No (human) right, no care, no fear= it means by removing the problem (terrorist) literally we wont longer care for the problem they created (disregard their existence as human being) and therefore we wont have further fear as a result of the removal. Human word inside the bracket to emphasize that we are dealing with another human being, as we are.

To catch me is a playful art work series as it will provoke the audience curiosity, imagination and raise question or even self answer according to their own interpretation, however when they know the whole works it will then creates another interpretation and imagination that will lead to the definition of the catch me idea. Catch me also how to see our world as a small complex network in term of a socio cultural community as our human bodies that each parts has its own uniqueness (beauty) and value (inner beauty) in terms of their essence and function. The catch me project is a series of works that consists of four separate art works that independent and interdependent to each other in order to form the whole as one idea and context. When it joined together according to the network pattern of the wall location on the earth it will then reveal a human body structure and an image of the human vitality as catch me concept. Eyes in Beijing are to represent the starting point of the journey, and as reference point of the Beijing location towards another cities. Eyes also to symbolise our curiosity toward our vicinity. Nose and mouth in Milan is to represent our human sense and sensibility. Hand and bird in Copenhagen is to represent the action of being free and to achieve (our dream/imagination) Legs in Toronto are to represent our ability, vitality and self-motivation for being free. Together, the image of the four walls is an image of a person flying to follow the flying bird that just set free as symbol of freedom and self-motivation.

Dolce vita is celebration of life and lifestyle, and how we can appreciate and divide our daily life between necessity and enjoyment/lifestyle.

The design idea was inspired by airlines' baggage name tag, a piece of polymer strip that seems very simple but has very important function, yet sometimes need our imagination to discover how to use it. Strip-tease is a functional sculpture- easy chair that provoking and alluring the user or the audience from its first engagement with the object both visually and physically. Furthermore it has inner beauty power to allure our curiosity and imagination from its simple minimalist yet functional design.

Design concept: The design idea keyword is derived from the Olympiad's basic concept: body, mind, and spirit. Body= art/culture, mind= life/civilization and spirit= motivation, competition and collaboration. The shape of the design was created by the intertwining of the olive's leaf and Islamic/Iranian decorative art, for its inner beauty that related to human civilization, its spirit and its embedded socio-cultural heritage.



-January, Permanent Research Lab/Lumen Center Italia, Aedo-To, Milano, Italy,” the nest", a family of lamp- contemporary light. The Nest The nest= the bird's nest Nest=structure or place in which a bird lays eggs and shelter its young, breeding place, snug place, shelter (oxford dictionary and thesaurus), The nest= sanctuary, secret place, fantasy, imagination, ingenuity, simplicity, modernity. The design idea is inspired by the bird's nest form and the definition of the nest itself. Its simple form can become a functional yet strong shelter/object for its designate function. Not only how it makes, its materials, its form but also how the single raw material can intertwine with other materials to form a new functional object (simplicity- complexity, ingenuity- inner beauty). The nest is functional contemporary lighting system for floor, table and ceiling lighting system and piece of contemporary art while not in use. It made from two layers of metal sheet join together with space between as the LED lighting nest. The LED lighting beam thus will be able to intertwine with the metal through its reflection and diffusion to form a unique space intervention. The nest stands can be made from various materials for instance wood, steel, and plastic. The Nest and its stand will be joined by a magnetic pin installed at the end of each stand holding tips, therefore the nest can be transport to almost everywhere, as its original definition. The nest is functional contemporary lighting system that simple yet provoke the user/audience imagination.
