Fossil Festival

The North Carolina Fossil Festival celebrates the Aurora Fossil Museum and the rich fossil record of North Carolina. Join in for a family-friendly event, June 2425, steeped in tradition and good old-fashioned southern charm. This is a FREE festival, with special ticketed events.

There will be plenty of activites and attractions available for all ages attending. First, try your own skill at finding shark’s teeth in the fossil pile. Several other science and history fossil displays will presented along with partner nonprofit organization informative exhibits. A movie night, silent auction and a parade is scheduled. intime for the parade. It is being hosted by Flythe’s Bike Shop. Cost is $20 per participant.

Enjoy live entertainment, food & craft vendors throughout the day, a Saturday night glow party, a special dinosaur show at the museum and much, much more!

A Jurassic Classic Bike Event was postpone in May due to weather and rescheduled to June 24 to coincide with the festival. The 38mile ride through the local area and countryside will depart at 9 a.m. and return to the festival at 11 a.m.
