Whitewater Fest

Get ready for an exciting weekend on the Cedar River in Charles City from June 23-25. Join us at Charles City WhiteWater in Riverfront Park, Iowa’s first WhiteWater park designed for river enthusiasts. Experience a river surfing clinic, thrilling kayak and SUP competitions for whitewater paddlers, and plenty of fun for everyone. All skill levels are welcome! Registration includes entry to the competitions, an event t-shirt, and a chance to win fantastic prizes. Enjoy additional onshore activities such as kids’ activities, food trucks, and a DJ. Friday Fry Float: Participants can float the river course on a giant fry-shaped float and enjoy hot fries at the end.

SATURDAY SCHEDULE:

Registration: Paddler registration begins at 9 a.m. on site.

Mandatory Meeting: 9:50 a.m.

Kayak Rodeo: Surf Competition.

Hooligan Race: participants can use cardboard boats, tubes, or other inflatable crafts. No fee is required.

Boater X: kayak races.

SUP X: stand-up paddleboards races.

Balls to the Wall Race: A race for teams get a beach ball through a course to reach wall target.

OTHER SATURDAY EVENTS: Kids Activities: Story Walk, CCWW Rocks hunt, and Scavenger Hunt.
