Story & Photography by Tony Centonze Big Brothers Big Sisters of Clarksville recently held its annual Bowl For Kids Sake Bankers Challenge at the Pinnacle Family Entertainment Center.

“Tonight is the Bankers Challenge portion of our annual fundraiser,” Chris Buerck said. “Bowl For Kids Sake is a community-wide effort, but tonight is when we come together with just members of our local financial institutions. They have all worked together to form teams. Those teams compete with other teams at their own bank, as well as with teams from other banks. They get pretty competitive, trying to see who can raise the most money for BBBS.”

Buerck says the Bankers Challenge has become quite successful. She has plans to maybe offer similar challenges to other Clarksville professionals.

“This is a huge deal,” Buerck said. “The Bankers Challenge can raise as much or more than our entire community challenge. We are so thankful for how our local banks support mentoring in this community. Things are going well. We beat last year’s totals, and we beat the goal we had set for this year’s Bankers Challenge, by raising $25,766. Of that total, F & M Bank raised $13,433.”
