Linmist Bulldogs Linda, Kelly & Roni It’s a very nice feeling when your asked to do a piece on your passion for bulldogs , Linmist was the name mum applied for as our affix in the 80’s a breakdown of mum and dads names Linda and Michael stutter , we are three generations who show and judge being mum Linda , myself Kelly wells and my daughter Roni wells-stutter , but the passion for bulldogs goes back way before that with my granddads bulldog ornaments on his fire place that we still have to this day . My uncle Ronnie also had a bulldog in the army . Our first bulldog was called Reggie when I was nine just a pet form there we were hooked . We don’t consider ourselves a kennel as all our dogs have only lived in the house with us as part of the family and we only ever breed for the next generation to show we can go back in our pedigrees to about 15 generation it has and always will be a hobby for us not a business we do not export and always on the end of the phone for anyone that purchases a puppy from us . We purchased our first show dog who was laneric dream topping a granddaughter for Wencar silver sunlight , we had lots of fun with her our first show at the London bulldog society at Kennington London, , and made some long lasting friends along the way . We then got our second show dog who truly was a gem from the lovely MrClaude and Magda Bannister, not only a friend but a great mentor
We have bred and owned some lovely dogs along the way just a few to mention ,another Rosalyn of Linmist , Linmist libra , Linmist eternal flame , yours truly from Linmist ,Linmist perfect bliss , major feelgood at Linmist , bezaville beatrice by Linmist & De can benet starmenta Linmist (Trui) Not forgetting our beautiful Linmist Xfactor (Charlie ) two reserve CCs always a champion in our hearts, he sired three champions on in UK one in Ireland and one in United States. .
I used to write to him when I was 14 , he would send some lovely letters on a regular basis helping us along the way . Thatchway Gold of Linmist was her name (Amy) she became a champion it was such a thrill to watch my mum in the ring with her, After Amy we then purchased Thatchway Captain (Claude) also from Mr.Bannister, who achieved his stud book number . We then purchased Hudson my boy who’s father was Cabinteely Rascal, another little treasure who stared in a music video.
