From the Editor Welcome to the catch-up issue of Dog Winner World. We are already in February and thanks once again to the many supporters around the world. 2018 will always stand out due to so many difficulties including health issues. But I really feel enormously blessed to be surrounded by so many kind-hearted and caring friends from around the world who are the wind beneath my wings. I trust that you will enjoy this new format which will make it easier to read online. Huge congratulations to Nicolette Bosman –breeder of Krescendo’s Cover Girl for winning Best of Breed at the Chinese Crested Specialty in NYC this past weekend! A great representative for South African dogs at Westminster!

Contingency plans How many dogs are too many? What will happen to them if you end up in poverty overnight? When is it too late? When you can't properly care for them?. I have written down and told family exactly what is to happen with each dog if something happens and this is kept current. A lesson learnt the hard. Brook Nugent I think it’s important to know you can move all your dogs at once in case of a disaster. Also talk with family and friends ahead of time about what would happen to the dogs if something were to happen to you. Coral Buton A sign on front of house saying pets inside is useful for Firemen or any rescue that's Needed . Is being promoted here to assist in in any crisis. A great idea. Trica Cumner Dogs Queensland has emergency group which consists of members. If an owner became sick, help will be put in place for whatever is suitable for the situation. North Queensland is currently flooded the group is fundraising and organising food and supplies, if necessary finding temporary homes for dogs.
