Conditions of Participation

The participating taxi company/operator must hold a valid business/trade license issued by the relevant government agencies and authorities

Participating companies must not have any of their employees working in the Global Taxi Excellence Award management or award jury

Participating companies who already won 6 stars or above in Global Taxi Excellence Award shall not re apply unless one award cycle has passed since their previous participation

To qualify for participation, companies shall meet all award submission requirements and deadlines

The award submission documents shall be complete, supported by documented objective evidence, and reflect true business practices

Criterion 1 : Infrastructure & Supply Chain (280 points)

The first main criterion focuses on the critical infrastructure and supply chain factors that constitute a solid foundation for the business to create value and operate at the highest level of effectiveness.

This sub-criterion addresses the key elements of the Taxi Fleet capability and its ability to provide choices that meet the needs of different types of customers and users.

This sub-criterion focuses on the following:

High performing taxi companies efficiently and effectively plan and manage their taxi fleet size and capacity in consideration of various critical internal capabilities and external factors.

Todemonstratetheireffectivefleetsizeandcapacity,companiesmayhighlightthefollowing:

• How the company plans the size and capacity of the current and future fleets in light of market requirements, geographical scope, service demand, and the strength of competitors.

• How the company makes its strategic decisions to increase or decrease the size and capacity of the fleet according to market variables, size of demand, strength of competitors, and geographical scope, taking into account population growth and environmental, political, economic, legal, technological, and social variables.

• How the company takes into account its operational capabilities and available resources in the management of operations and diversification of support services and their impact in determining the size and capacity of its fleet to achieve the optimal utilization of each vehicle.

• How the company manages the life cycle of its fleet, from vehicle selection and technical specifications to scrapping in accordance with laws and legislation in force.
