Merlions Relay ROAR!
The Merlions hosted their first external swim meet last Friday at the wonderful TCB Aquatic Centre, named the Merlions Relay Roar, versus GESS and SJI International Schools.
140 swimmers competed for the three schools with many personal best performances swum in what was the first competition of the swimming calendar.
Across the 12 total relay events in the 10-11 years and 12-13 years Boys and Girls categories, the Merlions came out on top winning 5 events, just ahead of GESS’ 4 and SJI 3 relay victories.
A highlight was the Merlions 10-11 Boys age group, winning 2 relays and narrowly missing out on taking all three – great swimming Flynn, Kai, Daiki, Forrest, Ives, Benoit, Marcus, Max, and all Merlions whom competed at the event.

ACSIS Junior and Middle School Cross Country
Junior School Cross Country
Our junior cross-country runners took part in the annual ACSIS event out at Pasir Ris Park this week.
What an exceptional experience it was for our young athletes, competing amongst Singapore’s best age-grade runners and representing Tanglin with great pride.
All of our students gave their very best in what was a highly competitive field (75 boys and girls in each category) and the bonus was the results, both individually and as a team

Middle School Cross Country
An enthusiastic team of Middle School students made their way to Pasir Ris Park earlier this week to represent the school in the ACSIS Championships.
Stand out performances by Flynn, silver medallist in the U12 boys, and a team gold for the U12 boys along with excellent efforts from all made sure that all athletes finished the event happy
With each event our runners pick up valuable experience, especially around pacing, and we look forward to future events this term.
