Australian Age Nationals (Swimming)

The Merlions had two representatives compete over the April holidays at the prestigious Australian Age Nationals on the Gold Coast. This is the highest level of age group competition in the world with many future World Champions and Olympians progressing from this very same competition.

Nathalie R and Eloise L together competed across 8 events during the 7 day competition. Eloise placed 14th overall in the 14yrs 50m Breaststroke timed final, and Nathalie swam a personal best in the B-Final of the 15yrs 50m Freestyle overall, whilst also placing in the top 25 in the 100-200-400m Free and 50 Fly events.

Well done to both girls and their families for displaying an extremely high level of commitment to their craft in order to perform their best at this competition and widen their experiences on offer through swimming
