LIMITED EDITION Photographic Prints
Photographer Greg Barrett Greg Barrett is one of Australia's foremost photographers with a special interest in dance and the performing arts. Greg Barrett has worked extensively in film direction, fashion photography, advertising and portraiture. His work forms part of the permanent collection of the National Library in Canberra and his photography is widely collected and is seen as a reference point for the possibilities of what the human body can achieve. Greg was instrumental in giving the Australian Chamber Orchestra its individual image by creating the 'Running Line' portrait of the entire orchestra in mid flight. He also made the book Tutu (Allen & Unwin) with the Australian Ballet. He is the author of several other books on dance and the performing arts, including "CLAN" about the Bangarra Dance Theatre. The text is written by Stephen Page. The book honours Bangarra Dance Theatre's twenty-fifth year, and the people who have inspired Bangarra over the years. Most have never been seen by the public until now. All original photo artwork's come hand signed by the photographer Greg Barrett. 100 x 50cm $1750 inc. GST There are also a limited number of digital prints available for purchase. 72 x 36cm $1200 inc. GST The proceeds from the sale of these prints will be used for the purchasing of new instruments and the much needed re-skinning of our taiko.

Printing and framing information To ensure the best possible printing process for these incredible images, we have partnered with Pixel Perfect Pro Lab in Sydney, who are one of the few remaining Pro Labs in the country that continue to maintain and use the Lambda C type Printers. They are unparalleled in quality and photo printing standard. The lambda printer is the benchmark for quality in digital printing, producing digital prints onto light sensitive papers using lasers. All Lambda prints are chemically processed. Paper Hahnemuele Photo Rag® – a white, 100% cotton paper with a smooth surface texture – guarantees archival standards. With its premium matt inkjet coating Photo Rag® meets the highest industry standards regarding density, colour gamut, colour graduation and image sharpness while preserving the special touch and feel of genuine art paper.
Framing The printed paper is backed with an aluminium panel producing a very strong sandwich panel. The aluminium skinned composite board is very strong but lightweight, and produces a smooth surface for premium mounting. This looks fantastic and gives it a very modern finish. The aluminium board is then completed with a floating hanging channel system, which when hung, gives the frame a floating effect, lifting the image off the wall. Having explored and tested many types of papers and framing options, we feel the chosen paper and framing provide the strongest statement for the works.
