Bus service problems Over the past month, the Sun City News has received numerous complaints about the revamped bus service that was varied to fit in with the opening of the Butler railway station. Yanchep resident, Rob Barnes said: It’s no fun sitting at Butler watching 490 (Two Rocks) and 491 (Wilkie Ave) buses leaving every 20-30 minutes and you have to wait one and half hours for a St Andrews’ bus. I say bring back the old bus route.” Another Yanchep resident, Debra Anderson, told the Sun City News: “I recently had to take my two grandchildren to school by public transport while pushing another two in the pram. “I found that the new timetable is so hard for you to get to the school on time.

“To get there from the Yanchep Golf Estate you have to get the 7:41am bus because if you get the next one at 8:37, the children are late, so it means that you have almost an hour wait for school to start. “I can then get the 9:21am bus back home. “But to pick the children up, I can only get the 1.50pm bus, one hour before school gets out at 2.50pm. “Now by the time you get the children and get to the bus stop you have missed the 3:05pm bus and now have to wait for the 3:32pm bus. “We are told to use public transport, but if I had a choice I would not but I do not have a licence nor can I afford a car so I have no choice.

“Maybe if others complained to Transperth, like I have via the net, then they might fix the problem - I said might!” Several Two Rocks residents have complained about the school bus service to Yanchep District High School disappearing completely. The old school bus service would drive around the Yachting Village and up Whitfield Drive and Blaxland Avenue, stopping at numerous school bus stops, providing just about a door to door service - Now all students have to walk to a Transperth bus stop at the shopping centre or along Two Rocks Road. Some kids have nearly a kilometre walk to catch a bus to school.

Q&A

How do you like to spend your weekends? When not attending community events with my electorate I most like to spend time playing with my daughters, Ruby (7) and Lily (5). We like to go to the beach, bike riding and the park.

THIS WEEK: John Quigley Member for Butler What is your most treasured possession? My wedding ring. What would you first save in a house fire? That’s easy; after my wife and daughters, my back up hard drive containing all our photos and videos of our family life together. What is the last book you read? Last night, a bedtime book for my daughters - The Hungry Caterpillar. My last book was the best history book I’ve ever read - The Tyrannicide Brief by acclaimed Australian human rights barrister, Geoffrey Robinson QC. If there is one thing you would change about Australia, what would it be? There are two things. I would try and change the culture of alcohol abuse which leads to family break up and domestic violence; and I would eradicate methamphetamine from our society. Who would you invite to dinner? Danny Green, Krista McKeeken, Dr David Joske, Antoinette Kennedy, Tim Minchin, Louise Sauvage, Malcolm McCusker and Kylie Minogue. What was your most embarrassing moment? Travelling back to Perth to appear in court, I boarded the wrong aircraft; it wasn’t until we were taxing down the runway and the pilot welcomed me to the flight to Darwin that I realised my mistake. I had to plead with the cabin crew to notify the pilot to stop the aircraft, a truck came with a set of steps to take me off the plane - I can still remember standing at the top of the steps as we backed away from the airplane with everyone looking out the windows of the plane, laughing and waving.

What is the marina’s future? or CVJV will be tendering on the Two Rocks Marina.”

Late last week, the official word from the Department of Transport Coastal Infrastructure about the future of the Two Rocks marina was: “The State Government will make an announcement on the lease agreement at Two Rocks once the current operators have been advised of the position. “The Department of Transport (DoT) will contact pen holders and tenants at this time and representatives will be on site to discuss ongoing arrangements. Fees and charges will be maintained at existing levels.” A source in the Department of Transport told the Sun City News that Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd had already been notified that DoT would be taking over interim management of the marina from 10 November, while ‘Expressions of Interest’ for a five year lease are pursued. The Sun City News was told there were a multitude of issues related to the management and running of the marina, including lack of maintenance and services available from this working marina. Yanchep Sun City has leased the marina since buying the Alan Bond created ‘Yanchep Satellite City’, a 5000 plus hectare residential development.

The Sun City News is aware that Yanchep Beach Joint Venture (YBJV), the major commercial developer in the region, have been investigating the marina lease. Jon Kelly, executive manager and economic analyst for YBJV, said there were infrastructure risks and operating issues that made leasing the marina very high risk “YBJV is not going to touch it.” Yanchep was the dream of Alan Bond, a self made millionaire, who wanted a huge marina that could stage the Amercia's Cup yacht race, be the home for Atlantis Marine Park (similar to Seaworld), have a world class golf course at Sun City and Club Capricorn resort. The story of Yanchep Satellite City actually began with Alan Bond acquiring the land holding in the mid-1900s. In the 1970s, he sold the land to the Japanese company, Tokyu Corporation, trading as Yanchep Sun City Pty Ltd - They had the marina lease renewed a couple of times. The existing lease expires on 9 November, 2014.

While residential land development in Yanchep and Two Rocks has exploded, there appears to be little or no interest in leasing the marina.

Unless an unknown bidder can be found, and willing to comply with the DoT tender requirements, it would appear the Department will have to take over management of the marina.

When Adrian Fini purchased the Two Rocks Shopping Centre in 1999, it was believed he was interested in taking over the marina and tavern site.

The WA State Government does not appear to have made any budget allowances for management or maintenance at the Two Rocks Marina.

Last week, Michael Bower from Blueport Development said: “Fini Group will not be participating in the lease of the Two Rocks Marina.”

Other issues that affect the Two Rocks marina, include the advanced erosion issues on the north side, and sand build-up at the south end.

Jarrod Rendell from Acumen Development Solutions, recently appointed manager of Capricorn Village Joint Venture including Atlantis Beach development at Two Rocks, said: “Neither Acuman

On the WA Heritage Council State Register it states: “Two Rocks precinct including: Two Rocks Shopping Centre and Tavern and Limestone Retaining Wall;

Atlantis Marine Park, the Waugal Monoliths, King Neptune and other sculptures by Mark Le Buse; the former Sun City Land Sales Office ‘Prickle’ and the Two Rocks Marina together form a precinct that has historic and social significance as a development carried out in the 1970s and 1980s by Bond Corporation with the intention of promoting tourism and commercial enterprise. “The various elements of the development have aesthetic significance as examples of excellence in architectural, landscape and sculptural design from that period. “The precinct as a whole, and the King Neptune sculpture in particular, is a prominent landmark and has social significance to the Two Rocks community. “The Limestone Retaining Wall has aesthetic value for its contribution to the coastal landscape in the vicinity of the Two Rocks Marina.” A number of ventures including Two Rocks Sea Rescue and Sun City Yacht Club have sub-leases linked to the overall marina lease.

Editorial - Terry Loftus Over the past two months, the crew at the Sun City News has been reviewing, planning and fact-finding a variety of issues related to providing ‘the best local community newspaper possible’. One of the most outstanding features to show very quickly, is the constant ‘interaction’ with readers. For example, just about every issue of the Sun City News carries at least a page full of letters to the editor.

By comparison, over the past month, the NCT hasn’t publish one letter from within its region. Another interesting observation is the amount of local input from local residents to help provide the best possible local newspaper. Between now and the start of 2015, the Sun City News crew are working on a couple of new exciting projects that will start early next year.

In addition, the Sun City News can confirm that advertising rates will not be increasing next year. They will be reviewed in July 2015, but at the moment there are some great deals available for advertisers who book ongoing advertising.

I do not think it is my imagination, but since the opening of McDonalds at Yanchep we have had a big increase in people in cars doing burnouts and generally hooning in the area. Outside the junction of the shopping centre and Marmion Avenue the evidence is clear massive black tyre marks along with the various McDonalds wrappers littered around the area. There are three stolen cars down Marmion Avenue this morning, two of them burnt out. Again, this could be nothing to do with the fast food outlet but I have not seen this before in the five years I have lived in Yanchep. There are a number of children late for school because they have been having breakfast at McDonalds. I cannot see any positives for the outlet except for them buying a few sports uniforms, trying to buy their way in to the community.

patient, the radiation dose delivered should be As Low As Reasonably Achievable. Though spelt slightly differently, I thought it a little unfortunate that a new village would always make me think it was echoing the ethos of living as low as reasonably achievable (for all). It does not strike me as a good association. It brings to mind images of a ‘Just good enough’ design, with non-existent facilities coupled with poor infrastructure. Considering the recent discussions regarding local amenities and their continued setbacks, maybe ALARA is an apt association to Allara. It is time the developers and Wanneroo council made more effort along the northern corridor. Please start by replacing the sticks for bus stops with bus shelters.

How about calling Allara, Awapp? It stands for As Wonderful As Practically Possible.

Odd association

Wouldn't that be something worth advertising?

I was driving along Marmion Avenue, last week, and noticed the eye-catching banner ‘Allara for all.com.au’, advertising another new suburb development between Yanchep and Eglinton. Anyone who has worked in an X-ray department will be familiar with the acronym ALARA. This is the motto which every radiographer will work towards. When taking xrays for a

Scraggly parks are vital An interesting letter about parks in Two Rocks has prompted me to point out to Two Rocks residents that the scraggly parks are natural environment and precious habitat to many of our cherished animals and birds. With development coming ever closer it is vital for us to

retain as much natural environment as we possibly can - As soon as we introduce lawns and structures, we have robbed the reptiles, birds and insects of the cycle and crucial interactions and movement. As the population and traffic in our town increases, we need to have a very clear priority of protecting and prioritising our wildlife and natural features. They will be snatched away if we do not state clearly that we value the natural beauty of our town. Ronel Smit, Two Rocks.

Road concerns A meeting has been called for midweek, mid-afternoon to complain about people using the Indian Ocean Drive. As a local Redfield Park, resident of many years, I feel it right to reply to the complainers of the area. The latest complaint being that licensed vehicles are using the Indian Ocean Drive. When I retired to the area I knew that the Indian Ocean Drive was on the horizon, although it was actually running late. Currently it is used by people to access our beautiful coast and the towns of Lancelin and Cervantes. These are world class destinations which bring tourism dollars and jobs, I don't remember being told that they were exclusively for the few people who lived in the immediate area. It is obvious that the people who used to move to

Redcliffe and Jandakot to complain about aircraft noise have now found other other things to whinge about. As taxpayers the people using the road are fully entitled to do so. Of more concern might be the local people who ride unlicensed motorbikes on our roads. A further area for concern might also be the numerous families living in illegal dwellings, frequently being little more than sheds, hence the name ‘Shedfield Park’. When these rampant problems are finished with there will be time to sort out the ‘problems in the mind’, relating to the Indian Ocean Drive. Name and address supplied.

Out-of-date Recently, I lodged a mail redirection online with Australia Post for a fee. Within 72 hours I received four letters confirming my redirection - What happened to using modern technology? Or is Australia Post such a dinosaur that they can’t confirm their transaction online? What a joke, they have the country’s biggest monopoly and they can’t provide a decent service Name and address supplied.

Halloween fun around town

Heaps of local kids, along with some mums and dads wandered the streets of Yanchep and Two Rocks in all sorts of Halloween gear. Here are a few snapped by the Sun City News photographer.

Poppies galore Visitors to the Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre will notice a magnificent display of poppies, which were handmade by members of the community and students from Hocking Primary School. City of Wanneroo mayor, Tracey Roberts thanked the school and its students for their contribution of 600 poppies to the 5000 Poppies project, to remember those who served in World War One. "The display is a beautiful tribute to our Anzacs and students with help from their art teacher, Miss Sveinbjornsson, have been dedicated to this project and I commend them for their efforts," she said.

"Hocking Primary School have also created their own significant display of poppies at the school and they should be very proud of their achievement "The Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre is one of only five collection points in Western Australia and I am happy that our community has become so actively involved in such a symbolic project." The museum has collected more than 3000 poppies and the display will be on show until Tuesday 25 November, coinciding with Remembrance Day. Your letters Internet connection I note that a new developer is in town - Really hard to miss. My concern is that services are not keeping up with the needs of the community. I recently rang several internet providers to be told there are no services available. Telstra informed me that there are no ports available and will not be for at least the next six months. They are not sure when any ADSL will be available. I was told to ring back in six months for an update. Young people need internet for study as there are no higher education facilities available in the area. To obtain employment you need access to the internet. These days many people pay their bills on line or connect with Centrelink and other government providers.

Many people use the internet for a large part of their social life. These days there is no planning only development. Developers are creating yet another social problem because there is no social needs analysis carried out before development is approved. It would seem obvious that people would expect to be able to connect with the internet in this day and age. I am wondering how many people are waiting for internet connection already? How do we make our voice heard? Joan Hutcheson, Two Rocks.

Mowing down the daisies Dear Sweet People of Two Rocks, can anyone tell me who mowed down our beautiful daisies along our scenic main road at the height of flower season? Can anyone clarify the motive behind such a badly-timed, unjustifiable action? For those taking walks and driving through alike, the

natural splendour of the waving grass and daisies brought much joy and delight. Suddenly some mindless owner of a machine drives into town and defaces the roadside, robbing the heart of Two Rocks of its natural beauty, which has been here, in this way, for many, many years. May I remind such people, and all involved in this type of senseless activity, that the people of Two Rocks came to live here for its natural beauty. By all means clip and manicure the lawns of The Reef and the adjacent park that type of lawn is clipped and manicured. The free, wavy grasses along our roads are meant to wave free in the wind. The grass obstructs no-one's view and it causes no bother to anyone in any way. Besides, our beautiful pink galahs graze there, and as these birds are a major attraction, their environment should be protected. Please leave Two Rocks beautiful roadside unmowed the roadside was again mowed very badly this week, leaving mangled branches everywhere, and gashes of destruction where the machine was pushed into foliage. If this mowing is being done to provide someone with work, please rather remove all the litter from our roadside, and leave the beautiful grass, daisies and natural beauty of the town as it is. There are plenty of toy towns to choose from in Marmion Road; plenty of artificial gardens and clipped lawns. Two Rocks is loved for its natural beauty; the recent mowing has again left our town's entrance and drivethrough looking dreadfully bleak. Ronel Smit, Two Rocks.

Hooning idiots For three nights in the last week my family and I have been abruptly awoken by some ridiculous people at unfathomable hours.

These people were screeching, doing burn outs and whatever else they waste their tyres and time on, down the main road outside my house. The first two times I didn't get up to look at my window but on the third time I did. I looked out my window at 1:02am after hearing screeching. I saw a white, flat bed tradie truck slowly screeching continuously down the entire length on the road then decided to be even more intelligent and continue the screeching slow across the small roundabout, on the wrong side of the road. Now I know a lot of you will say 'yeah cool burn outs' etc, but myself and probably many others are being kept awake and having to go out and see the fresh black marks covering our roads each morning. This is not 'cool'. I am fed up and cannot even begin to understand what would posses someone to go screeching around, wasting fuel, tyres, ruining the road and disturbing everyone. Come on, seriously, stop being dangerous idiots. Kelsey Baker, via Sun City News Facebook page.

Hoons It’s just after 1:00am in the morning and yet another burn out at the bottom of Two Rocks Rd, called the police, a white ute with ladders on the back virtually stood still on the roundabout spinning his tyres, dread to think of the tyre marks on the road. They will most probably look like the ones at the intersection by McDonalds. I’m not normally one to complain but ever since the 24hour McDonalds has arrived there has been more hooning, nearly every night, plus two burnt out cars down Marmion.

Would be great to maybe get a petition or something just to close it at night then it will maybe stop some hooning and stop making Yanchep and Two Rocks sound like a motoplex. Sharon Baker, via Sun City News Facebook page.

So wrong The Sun City News wanted money to be spent on lowering the Skybridge boardwalk when that money could have easily paid for works at Oldham Reserve. Does the paper only want to grumble? I notice our councillors are being bullied by the paper in every issue. I do not blame them for not wanting any email contact with the paper. I have always been able to contact the councillors and have found them to be very helpful. DD, submitted via the Sun City News web site. Editor’s comment: The Sun City News has never supported the lowering of the boardwalk. I think DD needs to get his facts right before giving anyone a blast.

Disgrace is putting it mildly I'm building in Yanchep on Beachhaven Drive after selling in Madeley last year. I can't believe the lack of grass and open space up here compared to other suburbs in the council area. The council obviously don't want to send their mowing team up the coast. Capricorn declare that their new master planned community has all this ‘Public Open Space’ but it's not usable space for the kids, just scrub. Compared to how well Kingsway is maintained it's a joke. Glenno, via Sun City New web site.

I’m not saying it didn’t go on before but it’s a lot more since. Ok, McDonalds is here to stay but why does it have to be open 24 hours.

Mixed views over firebreak

Memory lane therapy Therapy assistant, Debbie Davison from Bethanie Beachside found herself increasingly frustrated with the lack of quality resources to use in her aged care music programme, so she decided to create her own. With the help of her audio engineer son, Leigh, Debbie produced an original music DVD to use in her weekly sing-along sessions at Bethanie. ‘Memory Lane Therapy – Sing-Along for Seniors’ is a compilation of old-time favourites. The songs are set to captivating movies and roving images, displaying the lyrics to sing along.

There are mixed views in relation to a firebreak access the City of Wanneroo proposes to build between the 14 exclusive Brazier Road properties on the west side and their direct access to the beach front. A couple of these residents have been providing extensive correspondence to the Sun City News, but labelling every email ‘this if for your information and not publication’. Chris Morrison, Director of City Business at the City of Wanneroo, told the Sun City News: “The safety concerns regarding the Brazier Road properties first came to the City's attention following an investigation of complaints to the former Department of Environment and Conservation (now Department of Environ-

ment Regulation) regarding the unauthorised clearing of portions of the foreshore reserve. Reserve 20561 is a ‘Class A’ reserve and includes a Bush Forever site. “The fire safety requirement was identified following an inspection by the City's Chief Fire Officer. Once the fire safety risk was identified as ‘high’ to ‘very high’, due to high winds, high oil content in the surrounding vegetation and lack of access. “The existing cleared areas and the gradient of the land was inadequate to support a fire services vehicle (normally 14 tonne). As a result, a new ESAT (Emergency Services Access Track) was required.” In May 2014, the council approved spending of $170,000 to $190,000 to build the firebreak track.

The Sun City News understands a couple of residents don’t want the firebreak built, allowing access to the beachside of their properties. Mr Morrison said: “Some owners of the Brazier Road properties have expressed concerns regarding the need for the ESAT. However, the City has obligations under fire safety legislation that cannot be avoided.” The City of Wannereoo has held extensive public consultation with letter drops to the Brazier Road properties and three meetings with the owners on 20 August, 18 September and 16 October. Firebreaks are a legal requirement of all property owners of vacant blocks of residential land. Property owners are required to clear firebreaks by 15 November,

each year and maintain them until the following April. Firebreak inspections are regularly carried out on all vacant residential, rural, semi-rural, special rural and special residential land annually and if not constructed, an on the spot fine of $250 is issued to the owner of the property. Unfortunately, due to the ban imposed by some of the residents, the Sun City News is unable to provide the reasons why some residents don’t want this firebreak built. Sometimes it is difficult to understand some of the decisions of council, but in this instance, an obvious fire risk has been identified and the City of Wanneroo is legally bound to resolve the concern - Imagine if they ignored it and there was a fire.

When Debbie first introduced the DVD at Bethanie, the reception from the residents was overwhelmingly encouraging. “They were standing up and applauding,” Debbie says. “I come from a musical background, I was a singer and used to play in a couple of bands, so music is my forte in the therapy team.” “Music puts everyone in a good mood,” Debbie says. “The residents with dementia love it. They haven’t forgotten how to sing.” After proving such a hit, the self-made DVD is now being made available worldwide. If you would like a copy go to memorylanetherapy.com

Two Rocks residents are being asked to lookout for unusual birds after the possible sighting of four sparrows in the area. Department of Agriculture and Food biosecurity officer, Glen Coupar, said the birds were photographed at a bird bath in a local resident’s backyard. “The resident, a bird watcher who knows his birds, photographed the suspect birds but unfortunately the photo is blurry and confirmation was not possible,” Mr Coupar said. “There have been a number of incursions of sparrows in the South West this year and

the department is relying on community help to ensure there are no other non-native birds in the area. “Tree and house sparrows are declared pests in Western Australia and are often found near ports, after arriving on ships. “Sparrows have the potential to damage grain and horticultural crops, spread disease and compete with native birds for food. “They can also foul buildings through nesting, roosting and feeding behaviours.” Surveillance has been undertaken by DAFWA officers but the sparrows

have not been located. “We are asking the community to assist in being on the lookout for these pest birds,” Mr Coupar said. Both sparrow species are slightly larger than welcome swallows. They are brown to grey in colour and have wedge-shaped finch-like bills. Males have a chestnut or dark grey crown and black chin. The tree sparrow has a black cheek spot. Sparrows are attracted to sites such as bird-feeding tables, rubbish bins, cafés, houses and sheds, aviaries and grain storage facilities. When feeding they are often seen hopping along the ground.

More information on sparrows is available on the department’s web site at www.agric.wa.gov.au Any sightings of sparrows or other exotic birds should be reported to the department via the Pest and Disease Information Service on free call 1800 084 881. We did it and survived to tell the story Recently, 21 Gingin cubs, scouts, venturers, friends and leaders recently took part in a 20 hour famine to help support the Manila scouts and their families. The challenge to not eat for 20 hours, at times, this proved to be quite difficult. They were allowed water and barley sugar and this was to be a real life saver - Some of the kids thought they would never eat again. Printed photos from the Manila trip were put up on the walls as a reminder of who they were doing this for and those poor families who go without food for days. This helped to make the challenge easier and appreciate that we have food every single day. The group played lots of games that they had learnt in Manila which helped to pass the time away and keep us from thinking of our grumbling tummies. One of the games involved coconuts and the kids thought their luck had changed and we were going to eat the coconut sadly they didn’t. The group sat around the camp fire and sang songs and imagined those gooey hot marshmallows that always seem to come with camp fires. The next morning was a bit tough as the older kids where really starting to feel the hunger pains and feeling very listless, but more games helped pass the time away.

As the 20 hours was drawing much closer, one of the lovely lady arrived with the sausages Yes, food at last. The smell of cooking onions and sausages was quiet torturous for some, several kids were beginning to drool. Finally, it was time to eat and it was amazing to think only after 20 hours how much your body adjusts to going without food. There were a few belly aches. Python, Jane Taylor, said: “I’m happy to say we all survived and I’m sure we would do it all over again knowing how some of these people feel day after day. “Well done to all that participated we are very proud of you all.” After the 20 hour Famine the scouts and ventures and a few of their friends went on to do a survival challenge? This is where they have to build their own shelters, using whatever they could find in the bush, bringing their own food, cooking implements, sleeping stuff and survive in the wilds of Gingin for the night out at the scout hall. The Venturers set up their shelters on the Friday night as they wanted the activity to be a tough experience. Python Jane said: “I must admit we have some very good survival instincts among us all. Heath and

Riley caught themselves a rabbit, skinned and gutted it then rotisseried it over the fire and dinner was served.

cut in half and placed very securely over a fire pit then filled with water to boil away, nice fresh water from the lake.

“It was a wee bit tough but a great effort and I’m sure you guys will survive where ever you are put.” There where some great shelters built and the best bush shower you could ever wish to have even with its very own hot water, pure luxury.

This was then poured into a bucket suspended from a tree with many, many holes drilled in the bottom for the best shower ever Two of the cubs decided that it would make the best bath ever and it was the warmth that they needed from playing the freezing cold, but very shallow lake.

Heath and Riley decided that hot water was a must on these cold nights and proceeded to make it happen - First a 44 gallon drum

They had so much fun playing in the lake on the boogie boards even Ebony the camp dog was in her element.

The survival challenges are a great experience and they are planning another next year - It gave the scouts a real sense of adventure, survival and independence. They all had a great weekend, knowing they had helped many families with the money raised and the donations that were received - Thanks to everyone that made donations. This is the true meaning of scouts, helping those less fortunate than themselves.

of works have been approved, a 257 hole, Stage 1, drilling program is expected to start later this month, an endeavour to make Boonanarring a standalone operation and concurrently expand other areas into potential parallel operations.

All holes planned in this program will be within the Red Gully-BoonanarringGingin North- Gingin SouthChandala region. One of the programs includes infill drilling within the Gingin North Resource and its northern extensions potentially linking that resource and extension with the Boonanarring Resource.

to 200km north of Perth. This region is a well established minerals sands province, with excellent existing infrastructure and a local workforce with extensive mineral sands operating experience.

The company is focused on the exploration and development of heavy mineral sands deposits in the North Perth BasinÍž extending from 40km

The company’s current focus is on the Boonanarring and Atlas projects at North Perth Basin - They recently announced that four programs

The delineated Gingin North Resource is made up of three strands. However, interpretation suggests a proliferation of six strands contained within a 600 metre width in the Gingin North Mining lease. These strands continue for at least a further 750m north of the Gingin North site. These extensions will be tested for a further one kilometre north to see if there is a link up to the main Boonanarring resource which contains two main strands. A second, yet just as important target, is the Gingin

South area where 22 holes are planned. There are two objectives for this program. First, to test for any continuation of the 5.5km Gingin South deposit in a northerly direction potentially linking with the Gingin Mine over a distance of seven kilometre. The Gingin mine was mined by Iluka over a 2.5km distance. Secondly, and just as importantly, to test an interpreted eastern parallel strand that is 14 km long. This strand was interpreted from a recent ground magnetic survey completed by the company. The significance of this eastern parallel strand may be similar to that at Boonanarring where the easternmost strand has a much higher average HM grade and zircon percentage than the western strand. A third target is the northern extension of the high grade Boonanarring deposit where 20 holes are planned. No previous drilling has been carried out in these areas on the west side of the Brand Highway. These targets will be tested over several months starting in November.
