My practice traverses photography and painting, exploring a single oak tree in its landscape. I’m a member of Free Painters and Sculptors and have exhibited and gained awards at The Mall Galleries, Bankside Gallery, Society of Botanical Artists, Affordable Art Fairs (London), Edinburgh Art Fair.

What to expect: One Oak Tree with endless creative possibilities. I’ll be showing pieces and discussing practice, which explores image making bound in or with resin. Using mixed media and ideas drawn from favourite artists or contemporary themes to evoke the different experiences while documenting the oak tree.

Within my printmaking practice, I work primarily with local found and reclaimed timber. My print process draws on historic techniques, and also delves into the history of the wood itself, using each year of its development as part of my mark making.

What to expect: There will be a selection of relief prints on show, these are printed by hand directly from the cross sections of sawn wood. I will also be doing live demonstrations on the process of burning the wood to reveal the natural grain.

Stained Glass is “Painting with Light”. Coloured, mouldedmanipulated glass has the power to transform the most mundane and plain corners of a space when hung in a window and seen throughout differing times of day. Each panel changes to reflect the light from outside.

What to expect: A gallery of some of my works. Practical demonstrations of glass cutting and leading. I produce my work by individually cutting and mounting each piece of glass onto a large fixed toughened frame of glass allowing me to observe how each interacts.

I'm inspired by the sea, animals and Galloway. I have exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute and Paisley Art Institute. You will see my art on gifts in high street stores. Winner of Calendar of the Year/Best Jigsaw to do during Lockdown by The Independent.

What to expect: I have a large ground floor studio by the sea. There will be a selection of paintings, prints and gifts including cards, textiles, clocks, placemats etc. Work-in-progress will be on the easel and there will be free colouring-in sheets for adults and children.

Recommendation: Stop at the RSPB nature reserve at Mersehead for tips on wildlife spotting and a coastal walk.

Directions: Follow the A710 coast road to Kirkbean. Turn off for Carsethorn. Follow the dead-end road to the village. The studio is on the right hand side before the Steamboat Inn.

Accessibility: Two steps up into the garden.

My drawings are illustrative in nature with a strong visual narrative, inspired by country life, memories and wordplay. With the detail, energy and humour in my quirky style I endeavour to create cheerful and uplifting images that I hope make people smile!

What to expect: Visitors will see sketchbooks, a time-lapse of work-in-progress and finished drawings including small and affordable pieces. There will be a Tools of the Trade Treasure Hunt (for giant-sized tools), a Crayon Count Competition and Colouringin Corner. There’s also a lovely view to enjoy!

My work is influenced by water and the ephemeral in nature. I enjoy working in thin layers of oil to create interest and depth in my paintings and they often lean towards the abstract.
