Do it yourself trips
Fly out fishing / wildlife viewing / float day trips Customers desiring a remote fishing spot, or wild life viewing area, can be picked up by the Andrew Airways courtesy van and fly you to the hottest locations for the day. Depending on your chosen location, a river raft may be rented to make your trip spectacular (see gear rental for details, page 3). Upon your return, Andrew Airways will take you to your fish processing destination to have your catch of the day packaged per your instructions and return you to your lodging for the evening.
Overnight / Extended stay - Do it yourself trips
If the Day Trip adventures appeal to you and you would like to have a longer stay – consider an overnight opportunity by allowing Andrew Airways to assist you in recommending a remote cabin (see cabin listings) or renting the appropriate gear from Kodiak Kamps to set up a top notch tent camp. Mary’s Creek Cabin Mary’s Creek Cabin is located on the Karluk River, the famous sport fishing spot is 1-1/2 miles from Karluk Village in the lagoon.

You will see the beautiful, rugged mountainous terrain that makes up Kodiak Island, or the scenic timbered country that makes up nearby Afognak Island. On either of these tours you will see a native village, commercial fishing operations and the possibility of seeing Kodiak wildlife and Kodiak marine life along the way. Our passengers are fitted with voice activated headsets, guaranteeing good communication between the pilot and each passenger during the tour.

This tour package comes with an experienced Alaskan Bush Pilot who will provide you with a memorable tour of the island via float plane. Once airborne you will have the opportunity to see Kodiak’s wildlife, including Mountain Goats, Elk, and possibly the Bears of Kodiak. It is also possible to view Commercial Fishing Operations, Set Net Sites, Native Villages, and Old Afognak Village. You may also see some of Kodiak’s marine life during your trip.
