"If you’re reading this letter you’re a part of something bigger than you may know.” It was just three years ago I wrote those words in the editor's letter of our premier issue and as I look back on it now, even I didn’t realize truly how big this idea was going to be. It seems that during this time we've spent teaching you how to celebrate in style, we've come upon a few milestones of our own. This is, after all, our 5th year in business, our10th issue (if you're reading in Georgia) and now we’re setting out to bring our innovative approach to everyday event planning to more readers, one additional state at a time. Welcome Florida! So, with all the varied magazines & blogs out there, we always ask ourselves as we grow and develop, "what about Occasions is so appealing to our readers and keeps continuing our success?" I think that it’s two fold. First, our core belief that life -- in its every varied stage -- deserves and should be celebrated. Inviting readers to celebrate every occasion, every milestone, however big or small, or type. It’s that idea that life IS the celebration that drives us here, issue to issue. And second, being a trusted source to find an exceptional team of vendors to pull off those celebrations. We know that wedding and party planning can be tough for even the savviest of hostesses. BALLROOMS GOOD ENOUGH FOR GATSBY Imagine it's 1922, the roaring 20's are in full swing and big glitzy parties are a regular thing. DESSERT DECOR There is no better focal point for guests entering the room than an over-the-top dessert bar. For this shoot, desserts in pinks, creams and chocolates inspire a stunning backdrop with perfectly piped cakes, pink cake pops gilded with gold and silver details, custom fondant topped cupcakes, chocolate cheesecakes and perfect pink french macarons. A rustic table supported the curated confections and of course a soft pink runner made them pop! Inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s myriad of iconic movies and renowned sense of style, this bachelorette party styled shoot brings the essence of retro glamour to life.
INSPIRATION & DESIGN Under the creative direction of Brian Green of F&G WEDDINGS, Audrey’s greatest moments in film and fashion were reinvented with a modern spin. “Every woman at her heart, when she slips on a little black dress or gets dressed for a formal event, has a moment where she wants to feel like Audrey did in her movies…I started thinking about if we presented an event for a modernized Audrey Hepburn girl in,” Green said. “This design is inspired by her fashion and timeless beauty.”
COLORS The color story for the shoot was, of course, taken from the hollywood era with a modern punch of color. Brian used the black and white made famous in Audrey's costumes from such movies like ‘Sabrina’ to ‘My Fair Lady' to execute the theme. To make it 2013 fabulous he added a punch of yellow throughout to make it fresh and modern.

THE CAKE With Audrey Hepburn’s uber- iconic hat from My Fair Lady as their main muse, FOR GOODNESS CAKES created the shoot’s work-of-art cake. While translating fashion to food is no easy task, Brian Green made special note of the exquisite cake artistry, commenting, “The end result was magic!”

Using a minimalist black and white palette infused with a pop of sunkissed yellow, everything from the table design to the cake celebrated an “Audrey” sense of sophistication.
Each model was styled from head to toe just like Audrey... including their hair. The girls each wore a different do - a bob, a top knot bun, a loose ponytail and even sweeping bangs. Did we mention no detail was forgotten?
With no detail overlooked, including napkin brooches made to mimic Audrey’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s tiara, the shoot took Audrey Hepburn’s style to a whole new level. The flawless event design paired with decadent cuisine and signature cocktails made for a fabulous girls’ night out, Audrey-style!

To add interest and texture amongst the tablescape’s floral beauty, wooden flower-filled boxes doubled as table numbers for guests.

GILDED DETAILS Tie in your gilded theme by adding gold foil to glassware. The process is simple with a gold foil kit from any craft store. Let your imagination do the work as any design can be cut out of the foil sheet and applied to just about any surface.
THE CAKE A romantically modern 4-tier showpiece was created by CAKES WITH A KICK. Petals sprinkled with sugar crystals resembling snow surround the base, wrapped with a romantic lace pattern and topped by a delicate white sugar flower with gold gilded edges. Rustic vintage doors held the masterpiece with grace and dignity.
WATCH THE SHOOT INVITATIONS Pulling from the theme, the invitation suite was created to have a more modern style with subtle rustic elements. A&P DESIGNS backed the invitation with an engraved white woodgrain paper to infuse a bit of the rustic style, and used blindletterpressing to convey a modern design aesthetic. Adding metallic gold paper and gold ink completed the design, creating a modern, rustic white invitation suite.

Mexican papel picado flags got our wheels turning as we started dreaming up how the party would look. Working off of their bold colors and delicate laser-cut details we created a decor-scape that focused on classic dinner party staples like menu cards, linens and flower arrangements, and doused them in vibrant colors, patterns and textures.
The afternoon sun had just begun to set in the southern skies of Memphis, Tennessee as Callie looked around the backyard now sparkling from dozens of candles, enormous white lanterns and string after string of garden lights, she knew she’d pulled off (with an enormous amount of help from GARDEN DISTRICT) what was about to be a spectacular baby shower. Being a contributing editor to a wedding and special events magazine has its perks. Like, when Occasions came up with the idea of combining two popular features, real events and styled shoots and host a party for a close friend. And, as luck would have it, Chelsea, one of Callie’s dearest friends, was expecting her first baby. So, with the help of two more hostesses, Christie and Morgan, and one heck of a creative team, they set off to plan a shower that was intimate, whimsical, sophisticated and unabashedly fun. The result was that and so much more.

SIGNATURE PREGGATINI At a baby shower, opt for a mocktail instead -- or in our case, a watermelon preggatini. Dress up glasses with fun straws, colored sugars or custom labels for an extra touch of whimsy.
Citrus Preggatini: 1 ounce agave nectar, 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, 1 ounce orange juice, 3 ounces organic limeaid, ice, rimming sugar. Rim serving glass with sugar. In a separate glass, stir agave nectar and grapefruit juice. Add orange juice, limeade and ice. Shake and strain into serving glass, and enjoy.

THE PROPOSAL "We had just finished watching the fireworks in Times Square from the balcony of our apartment and I went inside to call my parents to wish them a happy new year. Before I could start dialing, Marc called me over to the Christmas tree. He started asking me where I got certain ornaments and then he asked where I got the Christmas tree ornament. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about because we didn't have a Christmas tree ornament. From around the back of the tree, he pulls out the ornament that also happened to be a ring box. I totally freaked out and he got down on one knee and proposed. And I said yes!"

"Our wedding was full of color and overflowing with details that truly represented our unique and quirky personalities. We chose stripes vs. polka dots because it would be a fun, graphic theme, but also because Marc always wears striped shirts and sweaters and I am obsessed with polka dots."
Leah and Marc were married on August 18, 2012, at the FERNBANK MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY in Atlanta, Georgia. The two met seven years ago on a one-sided blind date (Leah googled Marc to get the inside scoop ahead of time),and were engaged just a few years later. Fun and non-traditional is what the quirkly couple were going for on their wedding day, and that is exactly what they got. With central colors being red, purple and silver and the design scheme being stripes vs. polka-dots with a Lego and candy undercurrent, Marc and Leah hit fun and nontraditional right on the dot (no pun intended)! Leah wore a Monique Lhuillier gown from her 2011 pre-fall collection. She says "I knew I didn't want to wear a white gown......When I saw this gown, I knew it was the one." She paired the colorful frock with Brian Atwood purple suede heels, then later changed into purple Converse all-stars for the remainder of the night. Besides all the colorful details the couple affirm three things that really stood out the most, "our vows which were very funny and very personal, our dog, Spike, who was the ring bearer, and my dad's father of the bride speech which ended with the guests waving light sabers in the air!" Sounds like, this party was quite the night!

THE FOOD AFFAIRS TO REMEMBER catered an incredible Italian fare for the event. Guests were served Caesar salad bites and meatballs with tomato sauce as hors d'ouerves during cocktail hour. For dinner guests had a Caprese salad as a starter and a dual entree of steak and chicken.
TABLE NUMBERS With Legos and candy having an under tone of the event, Leah and Marc chose a Lego bride and groom couple (pictured on the next page) for their cake topper and they found an artist on Etsy that sold pictures of Lego people with candy, which they then turned into the table numbers.

FEATURED EVENT THE CAKE Leah describes the desserts as "my pride and joy" of the event. She says, "Our wedding cake was a Funfetti cake with white chocolate frosting that was covered in sprinkles and the groom's cake was red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
FAVOR DETAILS Guests took home a smart part of that dessert bar as their party favor. Since the wedding was at Fernbank, we had an artist friend of ours draw a cartoon dinosaur for us which we used on our save the date cards and on stickers for our candy favor jars.

Desiree, Joyce's grandmother was the creative party host at the helm of the celebrations and says "We are extremely close so I wanted to show off my design skills and plan something super chic and fun for her friends and of course family. I picked all my favorite vendors for the event right down to the SPERRY TENT. The location was perfect for a local soiree!" Guests enjoyed a 20s inspired band, cocktails by the boat house and celebrating the momentous occasion with Joyce. While everyone danced the night away, a photobooth with props and signs entertained as well. To give the event a more intimate feel there were long tables and two lounges for guests to mingle near. "It was such a fun filled night with laughter and love!!"

FEATURED EVENT FOOD & DESSERT Local Cape Cod flavor was brought in by having CASUAL GOURMET do some upscale seafood dishes and a raw bar. For dessert, a 1920's style cake was made to match the green linens and the wavy, floral design was created to match the dresses of the 1920s era.
ENTERTAINMENT Desiree brought in an amazing band who plays 1920's music. She said "what I love about CARTE BLANCHE is that they dress the part!" After dinner Joyce and all her friends started dancing and started a huge conga line...even the little kids joined in!

FASHION Brittany loved her Romona Keveza gown, which she wore with a custom Monique Lhuillier belt. She asked her bridesmaids to choose their own dresses in shades of champagne or blush for a chic, mismatched look. Jarrad and his groomsmen rented classic black suits from Men’s Wearhouse.
Wedding planning can involve lots of tough decisions, but after attending over 100 weddings as a photographer, Brittany had a clear idea of what she wanted at her own wedding to Jarrad Horne. With her experience as her guide, Brittany teamed up with Kelly McWilliams of WEDDINGS BY SOCIALITES to create a chic, modern, elegant beach wedding with a tropical flair at the MARCO ISLAND MARRIOTT HOTEL. Starting with the ceremony, during which the officiant blessed a bottle of the couple’s favorite whiskey, Johnny Walker Blue, to take shots from on every anniversary as long as the bottle lasts, Brittany and Jarrad’s 140 guests experienced a wedding full of surprises. Everyone enjoyed a lively cocktail hour, complete with steel drums and entertainment, before settling in at three long, family-style tables for dinner. After the sun went down over the ocean, DJ GABLE kept guests on the custom dance floor in the ceremony-turned-party tent late into the night.

THE FOOD One of Brittany’s priorities was a fabulous raw bar during cocktail hour, featuring tasty appetizers like stone crab claws, shrimp, clams, and ceviche. The Marco Island Marriott Hotel then put together a decadent dinner of caesar salad, intermezzo lemon sorbet, and a filet and lobster with dauphinoise potatoes and ragout sauce perigrod.
THE DECOR The extravangant reception dinner was a visual delight. Besides the incredible food and view of the ocean, the decor was a real show stopper. Guests were seated at three extra long estate tables lined with tall candelabras dripping in baby's breathe. A waterfall of hydrangeas poured over the ends of each table for a dramatic finish.

THE SETTING The ceremony took place at a circular altar under a white draped tent, which was transformed into a nightclubesque party tent during the cocktail hour and dinner. Each part of the evening had its own special place, which kept things interesting and exciting for Brittany and Jarrad’s guests.
"During the ceremony we tied a fisherman's rope into the strongest knot known to man symbolizing our tying the knot. As pressure is put on the knot, the knot only gets tighter like our relationship. Our officiant blessed a bottle of our favorite whiskey -Johnny Walker Blue- of which we will have a shot of liquor on our anniversary for as long as the bottle lasts us."
FEATURED EVENT WEDDING CAKE Brittany’s grandmother is a retired wedding cake designer and bakery business owner, so it was only fitting that she made her most magnificent cake ever for Brittany and Jarrad’s special day. The beautiful creation was vanilla almond pound cake with lemon filling and rolled fondant over buttercream, decorated with incredible gum paste flowers.
THE LOUNGE & MUSIC The bride wanted the reception to be high energy and constant dancing. They had a DJ and wanted the DJ to look like a club DJ so they put him up on a platform so he was right above the dance floor.

What little girl doesn't love a tutu? Brooke certainly does! This loved little girl celebrated her first birthday in true diva-in-training style with her extravagant tutu themed birthday party on April 7, 2012 at THE MARLOW HOUSE in Marietta, Georgia. POSH TOT EVENTS was brought in to create the ultimate children's escape. The party planners known for exquisite children's parties took the tutu theme to new heights by covering everything in sight with hints of pink, purple, tulle and pearls. Brooke's mom said "The theme captured everything that we love about Brooke, a prissy little girl who loves tutus and pearls. The color scheme was inspired by my love for the cake tables ombrĂŠ linen. So I knew we would have an ombrĂŠ styled tutus and pearls 1st birthday for little Miss Brooke." The party included delectable treats any kid would love like a custom sweets buffet featuring macarons, giant pink marshmallows, mini parfaits, cake pops, mini donuts, chocolate covered oreos and cupcakes in shades of pink and purple. The sweets were displayed on a vintage dresser with pearls and tulle spilling out of the drawers. As the party came to a close, Brooke's friends left with ballerina charms for each little girl along with custom made tutus and the boys received top hats and canes to remember the fun day.

THE DETAILS The guests were entertained with ballerinas from the local ballet studio. The prima donnas also served miniature sandwiches and snacks to the party guests. Brooke's mom saved a keepsake box to lock her wishing cards away like a time capsule to display for her 16th birthday party.
THE CAKE Brooke’s white chocolate cake was designed by SUGAR PLUM VISIONS. The cake artist used ombre colors with ruffled and tufted linens as inspiration and a darling tiara on top to finish the look.

THE PROPOSAL "We had been searching for rings for a while and I finally found one that I absolutely loved but he said it was too expensive. One night, we were going on a date in Clearwater on the beach to a restaurant. As we walked to the restaurant on the beach, we came up on some shells that spelled out 'Will you marry me?' When it clicked I looked over to find him on one knee WITH my ring! Turns out he was fibbing because he wanted to surprise me with the one I had my heart set on! The whole night was gorgeous!"

COLOR & THEME Inspired by a palette of soft pale, pink and gold, Mallory had spotted in a bridal magazine, the wedding decor took off from there. She says "I changed my colors about 50,000 times before I finally settled on those colors. I wanted to steer away from the typical ballroom, fancy-schmancy. That's why I wanted it to be outside and on a more casual side, but not shorts and flip-flops casual."
An ornate, glamourous evening in the Panhandle was the concept behind Mallory and Scott’s wedding. One hundred family members and close friends gathered at BENTLEY'S ON THE BAY on a terrace for a heartfelt ceremony that united these two Facebook sweethearts in marriage. Mallory wanted the wedding to be waterfront, but didn't want guests to get sandy. So, they were on a terrace overlooking the water and beautiful sunset. Mallory looked stunning in her white, mermaid style, destination wedding gown. The gown came complete with a small train and was adorned with gorgeous flower details on the side. Mallory accessorized her elegant look with gold glittering peep-toe platforms that added a touch of glitz to the ensemble. Her bridesmaids were dressed in light colored vintage dresses from Express; the perfect complement to the overall theme of the occasion. To keep the night full of fun, a steel drum band played in the background as guests went to a wish tree, while enjoying signature cotton candy martinis. At the end of the night, the couple exited the venue waving handmade ribbon wands and shortly after made their way to Cabo San Jose, where the rest is history. Mallory describes the most memorable moment as being "The whole destination experience in general. It was so nice to have all of our closest friends and family vacationing a few days beforehand together and having everyone at once being able to be a part of one night. I wouldn't have traded that for anything in the world."

"I like to say my theme was 'Vintage-glam' but when I look back I realize I probably made up a new style called: 'Etsy!' My wedding turned into quite the Etsy-fest. I lived on Etsy for about a year prior!"
FEATURED EVENT THE EXIT Our grand exit was a lot of fun as well. Instead of flowers, rice, bubbles or sparklers we wanted to add some color to our photos so we chose to do ribbon wands. We also had a super fantastic getaway car - it was a black, 1930 Ford Model A coupe with a rambler seat. It took us on a scenic route to our boutique hotel that we stayed in for the night.
VENUE Mallory wanted something on the water, so with help from her wedding planner TAMMY D’AGOSTINO, they decided to have the ceremony on a terrace overlooking the ocean. Watching the sunset as the couple exchanged vows made for a beautiful evening.

Sensational barely describes Miss Claudia’s quinceañera! Elisa of A FLAIR FOR AFFAIRS and Eddie of ENCORE CREATIONS somehow hit every mark on this special day and blew minds with a choreographed event like no other. Breaking tradition, Claudia wore a colored dress and the theme “High Fashion” exploded onto the scene. Guests were entertained with one “Fabulous” element after another. Inspired by family antique wedding photos and their mutual love of travel, the couple decided on a Carillon Beach destination wedding with a vintage twist. With 75 of their closest family and friends, the couple exchanged vows on the beach followed by a stunning celebration at MARKET STREET BALLROOM, decked out in antique inspired décor and DIY details. From the moment Rachel walked down the aisle on the white sand beach, to the couple’s clever “just married” tandem bike getaway, the couple describes their wedding day as a little slice of heaven.

FAVORS As school teachers, Rachel and Jesse made it a point to give back to the community even on their special day. In lieu of wedding favors, the couple made donations in guests’ names to First Book, a nonprofit which provides children in need with access to new books.

When Zoe Lara turned 15, she and her parents threw a traditional quinceañera with a modern, lively French cabaret theme. Their 215 guests enjoyed plenty of live entertainment, delicious food from MASSIMO RESTAURANT and of course, the traditional quinceañera father-daughter dance. Zoe and her father took dance lessons together and then choreographed their own waltz just for this special occasion. Guests enjoyed a decadent five course menu including lamb chops, homemade pizza, penne alla vodka, filet with mushroom sauce and risotto. Dessert consisted of gelato, a coffee bar, and a beautiful display of red velvet and vanilla cupcakes. After the formal part of the evening, the teenagers took over the dance floor while the DJ from BAY AREA PRODUCTION played a combination of Latin music and popular hits.

Sometimes your high school love is the one! That was the case for Josh and Jobria. While distance kept them apart for years during college, they always seemed to reconnect when they were back in Atlanta; finally letting that spark turn into a lasting romance. After all of those years apart, Josh had a big plan in mind for the proposal, toying Jobria with it for weeks by telling her she had to wait for her birthday present until it was 55 degrees and sunny. When it finally was, two weeks later, he surprised her with a romantic dinner and proposal on his grandparents’ farm, where they first met. They decided to tie the knot at another meaningful location, THE BREAKERS® PALM BEACH, where they first fell for each other. The couple wanted a traditional wedding that included details that celebrated their unique personalities.

THE VENUE THE BREAKERS® PALM BEACH served as the perfect venue for Josh and Jobria, as it was where they first fell in love nine years before. The lawn served as the perfect setting for the ceremony and cocktail hour, which was followed by the reception in the Ponce De Leon Ballroom.
THEIR CEREMONY The ENCORE CHAMBER PLAYERS played non traditional ceremony music, like Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” for the bridesmaids’ processional. After the ceremony, in a very touching moment for the bride and groom, all of the guests released a butterfly in memory of Josh’s grandmother.

TERRI'S BABY SHOWER Boca Raton, Florida

On a sunny day in March, Terri Molina gathered with family and friends at THE ADDISON RESTAURANT in Boca Raton, Florida to celebrate Addison Molina’s upcoming arrival. The theme for the occasion was inspired by Addison’s nursery décor. A chandelier chosen by the mom-to-be was a key design element throughout the shower. Nursery colors of lavender, black and white permeated the space. Upon entering the venue and seeing the beautiful courtyard with banyan trees and serene fountain, guests instantly gravitated toward the lounge style layout of the shower where they could relax and celebrate together. Appetizers and drinks were passed around in the courtyard with customized Addison cocktail napkins as guests mingled before the luncheon.

GUEST FAVORS One detail of Terri’s baby shower was handmade with love by her brother and sister-in-law Angie. They created a customized CD called The Baby Ambition Tour, which was given out to guests as favors. It included a medley of handpicked songs about daughters and parenthood. Once the CD was burned, a coordinating CD cover was created by FORT LAUDERDALE STATIONERY AND DESIGN.
THE FOOD Melisa Gail of CHIC ENTERTAINING paid close attention to the details Terri wanted to see in the shower. A black chandelier set the tone for the entire event. Crystal “bling” accents, used throughout the shower mimicked the crystal accents hanging from the chandelier, delicately placed on the tall cylinder vases, clothespins and the “bling” monogram. Guests were asked to wear lavender, white and black to coordinate with the décor.

After a chance meeting at an Eric Church concert followed by a hesitant first date, Cory and Tyler quickly and hopelessly fell in love. But Tyler, a lieutenant in the US Navy, was scheduled to relocate to Virginia and later be deployed to the Middle East only a month and a half after their initial meeting. Deciding to take a leap of faith, Cory and Tyler made a commitment to their long-distance relationship despite being literally worlds apart. Nearly a year later when Tyler was back on leave he asked Cory to marry him and the couple began planning their St. Patrick’s Day wedding. The couple held their wedding at THE KEELER PROPERTY with a barn reception that fit their theme of rustic elegance. Although rain storms threatened to dampen their day, the sprinkles let up just in time for their outdoor ceremony, giving way to a beautiful rainbow. “No need to go look for gold on this St. Patty’s Day,” Cory said. “For my treasure was standing beside me!”

THE TABLE In lieu of a long head table, the couple used a table from restaurant the on their first date. The round wooden high-top and two bar stools made an adorable set-up for the bride and groom!
FIRST DANCE For their first dance, Cory arranged an edited version of “When You Say Nothing At All� that included recordings of a voicemail from Tyler asking Cory out on their first date.

When Carla knew she was having a girl she immediately envisioned a casual, brunch baby shower where her friends and family could mingle and celebrate in each other’s company. With some delicate touches complemented by a rustic foundation, the theme was shabby chic. Carla incorporated white chevron, pale pink and accents of burlap and lace for an extra feminine touch.

INSPIRATION Carla is an event planner so she was lucky enough to have her friends in the industry help perfect the details. The day would have not been the same without Carla’s sister from New York, mom, sister-in-law from Georgia, mother-in-law, stepmom and 92 year-old grandmother.
THE FOOD The food was catered by CHEF MELISSA MAJOR. There were light appetizers including crab stuffed cucumbers, lox wrapped around cream cheese with poppy seeds and prosciutto wrapped melon. The dessert bar had macarons, champagne cupcakes, "E" cookies for Elle, cotton candy and cake pops.

LOCAL CELEBRATIONS SWEET DETAILS To add an extra sweet touch, the silverware was wrapped in doilies tied with raffia. Crystal from A SIGN OF MY LOVE made all of the food labels, burlap banners and favor tags on mini soaps that read "From My Shower To Yours.'

Location, location, location. That was definitely the key for Michael and Jessi who met when Jessi moved into Michael’s building and Jessi and her roommate Melanie became part of the same circle of friends. While their friendship grew, so did their feelings for each other and a couple months later they decided to act on it and see if there might be more to their relationship... and boy was there ever! Michael soon proposed on a trip to Napa Valley. As someone who works in the wedding industry, Jessi knew that every detail in her wedding was important. Michael and Jessi opted for a vintage Hollywood glam feel which they brought to life with their ruffled linens, beautiful florals, and their color scheme of mocha, cream, pale pink and black.

VENUE THE BILTMORE HOTEL provided food and service that the guests loved, including late night snacks like mini grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup shots and chocolate-covered cheesecake pops were served as well. THE DRESS The ruffles and pearl adorned bodice on Jessi’s Lazaro gown truly captured the vintage Hollywood glam she was going for, while still giving it a modern twist. Her two maids-of-honor wore black Amsale dresses while the rest of the bridesmaids each wore different cut dresses, all in a light mocha color.
CEREMONY Jessi walked down the aisle of the historic Florida church in her Lazaro wedding gown to the traditional melody of the organ. Guests held onto wedding programs and a vintage style hanky to dry the happy tears.

INVITATIONS The inspiration for the event started with a telescope so what better way to invite guests than with a personalized Kaleidoscope by Kaleidoscopes To You with Saige’s name on the lens and the details of the night printed by DM Paper Designs on the exterior. FAVORS Just when everyone thought the night was finished, a food truck saw them off with black and white “moon pie” cookies. A perfect treat for a perfect party!
SAIGE'S BAT MITZVAH Naples, Florida

Saige’s Bat Mitzvah was an outof-this-world celebration that was experienced by 200 fortunate guests and now thousands of inspired readers. The “Planet Saige” theme came from her interest of intergalactic stargazing with her father. The event was hosted at THE RITZ CARLTON GOLF RESORT, NAPLES and the atmosphere was transformed to a club vibe with dramatic uplighting, sophisticated silver strands shimmering prominently and a custom galaxy inspired gobo. High tops and cocktail tables were chosen to complement the buffet and encourage guests to keep both dance floors hot. Saige’s mom, Hilary created custom vases with photos of Saige printed on vellum paper with a candle backlight. The final detail to push us over-the-top was Saige’s dramatic entrance, being escorted by a 15 foot tall alien, letting everyone know she had arrived!
