Our mission charges us to "work to improve the economy and quality of life on the North Shore through public and private partnerships." We do this by raising our collective voice of 1200 members to address the opportunities and challenges faced by the Region.

Whether it is the revitalization of our cities and towns, improving our transportation systems, addressing environmental concerns, stimulation of our economy, those involved in the North Shore Chamber of Commerce readily cooperate, collaborate and contribute unselfishly. As issues arise, we are able to thoughtfully gain consensus and communicate the business point of view with reason and logic.

Members of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce should plan to write letters, attend meetings and communicate with elected officials and others to ensure the voice of business is heard, so that together we can speak for the North Shore with one, powerful and respected voice in the halls of Beacon Hill and Capital Hill.

Legislative Affairs Network: Meet Senators and Representatives and discuss important issues such as transportation, health care, affordable housing, workforce development, education, and energy issues that impact the North Shore.

Human Resources Professionals Group: Monthly discussion of issues impacting the Human Resource Field and local businesses.

6-Minute Networking: Works in a similar nature to the already popular "speed dating" where attendees have the opportunity to quickly meet with a number of business professionals to see if there is a mutual connection. Attendees meet participants, one-onone, for six minutes. Then they will move on to another 6-minute "mini-meeting" with the next person for up to 40 people.

Executive Networking Receptions: Helps connect members in an open fashion with several hundred business attendees. Open Receptions help to improve members' networking skills, expand their contact base and make several connections in a low-pressure environment. Provided on a quarterly basis. Open to all members.
