Karen Andreas has dedicated her lifelong career to the betterment of the North Shore community — as a journalist, media publisher and as of January 2021, as president and CEO of the North Shore Chamber. Leading the Chamber was a natural fit for Karen, who had been a longtime member of the Board of Directors and past chairman of the board.

Karen volunteers her time to numerous organizations, including Salem State University’s Bertolon School of Business Advisory Board, Northern Essex Community College Foundation Board, and Essex Heritage Board of Trustees.

A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Karen enjoys advocating on behalf of Chamber members and collaborating with business leaders and their teams. She and her husband, Mike, live in Danvers and have two grown sons.

A graduate of Salem State College, Cheryl previously worked for media organizations such as The Salem News, Eagle-Tribune, and the Boston Herald. She and her husband, Tom, lived in Salem for years until moving recently to Haverhill. They are the proud parents of two married daughters and two grandchildren.

Scott Muir has more than 30 years of executive leadership in a number of settings, including financial communications, software solutions, and the elder homecare industry.

Scott has been an advocate of The Chamber as both a member and ambassador. As Director of Business Development, he focuses on outreach to potential corporate partners, and strives to make certain existing members receive great benefit from the Chamber’s advocacy, education and collaboration efforts.

Scott and his wife, Moira, are emptynesters in Topsfield. They have four grown children and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

Katie Lovett recently joined The Chamber and is excited to help promote the business community as the communications manager.

A North Shore native, Katie is a seasoned journalist and spent more than a decade as

a reporter and editor at newspapers around the region. A graduate of Saint Anselm College and Northeastern University, Katie also works as an adjunct instructor at Endicott College.

As the communications manager, Katie oversees The Chamber’s website and its business magazine, Impact. She also works closely with Chamber members to promote their messages on social media and to the regional media outlets.

Katie lives in Beverly with her husband and their two young girls.

Robyn Pregent is a graduate of Rockport High School and Salem State College. She most recently operated Pregent Books, offering bookkeeping services to small businesses on the North Shore.

As Operations Manager, Robyn is responsible for accounting and finance, in addition to overseeing internal operations. From insurance to human resources and from software to customer service, her role provides the opportunity to wear many hats. Robyn enjoys the variety and takes pride in ensuring Chamber operations run seamlessly, ensuring a positive experience for both members and staff.

Robyn is a life-long resident of Rockport where she lives with her husband and two school-age children.
