LETTER FROM THE ASSOCIATION The Rio Grande Valley Builders Association (RGVBA) is proud to present 29 homes from some of the area’s finest home builders participating in our 2020 Parade of Homes. This annual event is scheduled to take place during the first two weekends in August and will feature homes of all sizes, architectural styles, designs, and budgets in various new home communities located in cities in the upper Rio Grande Valley.

W

e realize that these are challenging times due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, and we urge Parade visitors to abide by all of the safety and health requirements issued by our health authorities. The RGVBA is committed to the health and safety of all of its members and the public, and will adhere to any mandates issued by our government officials regarding the pandemic. For that reason, this year we are providing virtual tours of all of the homes in the Parade for the convenience of those who may not wish to tour the homes in person, and in case stay-at-home orders are issued during the Parade dates. This two-weekend Parade of Homes event is perfect for those shopping for a new home and for RGVBA builder members to showcase their Parade homes to a multitude of potential homebuyers in a short period of time. In-person visits will offer great opportunities for talking one-on-one with the builders, mortgage representatives, and other professionals who can help with any homebuying questions.

2020 Parade of Homes Builders

As we do yearly, we will provide a Parade App which can be downloaded from the App Store to help navigate the way to all of the homes. In addition to the awards in various categories that the Association normally presents to its winning Parade builder participants, this year we are adding a People’s Choice Award that will be presented to the home that is the most popular with all of the Parade visitors—in person or online. The People’s Choice Award winner will be determined by totaling the ratings given by Parade visitors using the Parade App or RGVBA website. The RGVBA Officers and Directors would like to thank the Parade of Homes Committee for their hard work and dedication during this difficult period to help showcase the 2020 RGVBA Parade of Homes. We would also like to thank our participating builder and associate members, along with our Rio Grande Valley community, for their loyal support, without which we could not have a successful Parade.

CORONAVIRUS / COVID-19 GUIDELINES FOR PARADE OF HOMES VISITORS We urge everyone to follow the Parade Visitor Guidelines outlined below that will be enforced by Parade builders at their Parade homes for the health and safety of everyone participating in this event. Let’s do our best to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus by following both the RGVBA and CDC recommendations for face-to-face interactions, including the wearing of face coverings and practicing social distancing as we tour the homes in this year’s 2020 Parade.

ALL PARADE VISITORS MUST COMPLY WITH THE STATEMENTS BELOW TO BE ALLOWED INTO THE HOMES: •

I have not been recently diagnosed with Coronavirus/COVID-19 or suspect that I may be infected

I am not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell

I have not traveled internationally or to Mexico within the last 14 days or to a highly impacted area within the USA in the last 14 days

I do not believe that I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of/COVID-19

I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and will follow the RGVBA’s requirements during the Parade to limit my risk and exposure to Coronavirus/COVID-19
