Best Friends

Our Friends benefit from advance information, special offers and exclusive opportunities to meet writers, actors and members of the creative team in return for an annual contribution to Live Theatre. Live Theatre nurtures the art of playwriting and the creation and production of new plays. We work with 90 artists every year, and have produced over 400 new plays which explore modern issues affecting communities in the north east, but which are relevant to everyone, everywhere. We support 500 children and young people every year to harness skills in literacy, communication and self-esteem, enabling them to have a voice in the community and broaden their future horizons. When you join the Friends, renew your membership, make a donation, or leave us a legacy in your Will, you are joining a community of like-minded individuals who are playing a vital role in supporting Live Theatre’s work changing lives and building communities.
