RIOT ACT

SPY IN THE STALLS

W*NK BUDDIES

Presented by EMMERSON & WARD PRODUCTIONS Written & Performed by ALEXIS GREGORY Directed by RIKKI BEADLE-BLAIR

Written & Performed by JAKE JARRATT & CAMERON SHARP Presented in association with LIVE THEATRE

Taken from interviews with three key players in the history of the gay rights movement; a survivor of the Stonewall Riots, an alternative 70s drag artist and a 90s AIDS activist. Verbatim one man show Riot Act is a heart-breaking and hilarious journey through six decades of Queer history right up to the present day.

University. A house party. One dances to Britney, the other alone having a few in the kitchen. But, they are both heading for the same bed. Discussions of identity, class, sexuality, and masculinity collide in a mix of pints, heels, dads, school, relationships, gay bars, and dance routines. Two different sexualities collide as they look at their manhood and the world outside of the duvet, asking what are boys really made of?
