KENISA NUNLEY

CHAMPION FOR THE POWER OF FEMININITY

I was intrigued when I learned Kenisa created a a beautiful event for women to come together to have a day of celebrating femininity The photo gallery of the beautiful dresses and gowns and seeing the elegance her events were inspiring. Kenisa and I connected on a phone call one day and discovered we had many things in common: goals to see people, women in particular, thrive, determination to create space for women to feel confident and special, and excitement to empower women to live their best life. About a year after our initial conversation, I received a call from Kenisa asking me if I would be a keynote speaker for her event in July I felt honored and excited and said YES She puts so much energy, time and talent into creating the perfect event for women to come together and celebrate. I call this event the ultimate in self-care and celebration.

I think it is amazing how you have been a champion for the power of femininity. What is your definition of the Power of Femininity?

I believe the Power of Femininity is the grace and dignity that can be carried by women in a quiet way that nevertheless shifts the entire atmosphere when we walk into a room.

What was your inspiration to create events for women?

It was at my birthday gathering that I was reminded of how important it is for us, as women, to have a space that we could come to and enjoy life in a soothing and glamorous way Not needing to do a lot; but be able to relax, have great conversations, good food, and an enjoyable time. It was out of that realization that I decided to move forward with Gowns and Gardens.

What has been the experience of women who attend your events?

I have found that the women who come really enjoy the event They have often forgotten how much fun it is to get dressed up and enjoy a day of realization and fun

Some have even referred to their experience as if it is like being in a fairy tale Others have said that they are still thinking about the words of our speakers several months after the event. I also find that there are women who, before coming, cannot comprehend that these events are so great, or why they need it until they attend It is when they come and experience it that they realize how nice it is to attend a Gowns and Gardens event.

6
Some
THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION

What do you most want women to leave your events with?

It is my hope that women leave Gowns and Gardens events with a sense of wholeness, healing, breakthrough, and encouragement; having a new perspective on their lives that causes them to be rejuvenated and ready to take their next steps.

I love one of your personal quotes: “Challenges: Face it, overcome, explore, and repeat”. Please define what this means.

I think all too often people want to run from and avoid challenges; but growth happens when we face them When we muster up the strength and courage to face them, we are on our way to overcome those challenges. It is in this overcoming that new opportunities arise that we can begin to explore. We discover the thing we faced is no longer holding us back It is in this exploring that something new will cross our path which one might not be comfortable with and so the cycle begins again.

How can a woman stand in her power and still display her femininity?

I believe that femininity is power! They are not separate and femininity is not the only form of power. It is just one that is often underrecognized. In Webster, one of the definitions of power is the ability to act or produce an effect. On a tactical level, some of the ways women can do this is by walking in dignity, cultivating their voice, being bold, steadfast, and having resolve with gentleness, love, and compassion. When women have cultivated these things, they will effortlessly be able to display power without compromising their femininity.

Anything else you would like the reader to know about your upcoming event on July 22 – The Power of Femininity?

I am excited about this event and look forward to seeing all the ladies there!!! I welcome all of you who need a break, could use some encouragement, looking for a fun event, or want something new, to come out and join us at this event.

THRIVING REGARDLESS

WITH DETERMINATION AND A POWERFUL COMMUNITY

A popular phrase you may have heard is that a Set Back is a Set Up for a Come Back! I have been through challenges and devastating pain and I know I’m not alone.

Years ago, I decided I was going to TAKE MY LIFE BACK

After recovery from a head-on auto accident, resulting in brain trauma and back injuries, fitness was one area I knew I wanted to re-focus on. I had participated in a short triathlon days before the accident After eighteen months off so my brain and back could heal, I signed up for an Ironman 70.3 triathlon (1.2-mile swim, 56 miles cycling a challenging course, and 13.1 half marathon run). I had failed attempts training solo before my bestie and I found a trainer and a group of women on the same journey. This was a KEY piece to accomplish this massive goal. Training for this tri was a whole other level of commitment.

I adopted the 3D View to Push Through Obstacles and Overcome. 3 Simple Words with Powerful definitions that can be used in all areas of life and business:

DEDICATION: Wholly committed to a particular course of thought or action; devoted

DETERMINATION: A fixed intention or resolution, Firmness of Purpose

DOMINATION: Not reacting to something, but rather Mastery Over Something, Control by superior authority or power Supreme, guiding influence

For me, fitness is symbolic to what’s going on in the rest of my life. Any goals we set for ourselves take courage, the 3D View of Overcoming, and help from a community of others rooting for us to cross any “finish line”.

Key points to support a great comeback:

Squash the inner voice of self doubt and negative self-thoughts/self-talk

Spend time in your Discomfort Zone – do things even if you are afraid – watch your confidence soar

Speak life with words and action – into your own life AND others with genuineness and encouragement

Surround yourself with people who care, support and believe in you

How do you show up in your life? For yourself? For others? Is it with determination and commitment? This is an eye-opening thought to consider

Whatever your goals are in life whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual spend some time looking at what you really love about your life Decide what you would like to have different in order to fully thrive. There is power in numbers (of the right people for you) in your community that you partner with in life, business and socially. We can be good as one, but we are better, together, in collaborative numbers for the world!

12

If ever there comes a time when the women of the world come together purely and simply for the benefit of mankind, it will be a force such as the world has never known.

MATTHEW ARNOLD

A recent conversation with a friend included the need to get raw and open with ourselves in order to discover what we don’t want to continue with our lives and make the necessary changes I remember my dirty, stinky clothes after an intense training day. We don’t know what’s in the “gym bag” if we don’t bring it out, clean it up and allow it to be used for its original purpose. Think of this in the context of YOU

There is no way I would have been able to cross the finish line of that first Ironman 70.3 without the powerful people helping, training, encouraging and cheering me on!

I encourage you to never forget:

YOU ARE STRONG, BRILLIANT, HEALTHY AND FULL OF VITALITY. YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE!

13 THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION

Fear to Freedom

Homeownership for women is an important aspect of achieving financial independence and stability However, there are still certain challenges and considerations that women may face in the process.

As a woman over 50, having gone through many of life’s challenges (divorce, empty nester, job losses, death of both parents, etc), the thought of owning a home as a single woman with no partner to help out when needed was overwhelming. You know what was so interesting? I have been selling homes to single women for nearly 20 years as a Realtor in the Sacramento region

Why did I think that I have to wait until I was married to own a home (even though I bought my first home as a single mother in the 90s)? Why did I feel my financial future was tied to a person other than myself? Why not me? Why?

FEAR.

Fear of the unknown. Fear of handling everything on my own Fear of knowing there was no safety net BUT I knew that God would not bring me this far to fail me. Now granted, what I thought was going to be a 6 month process to get ready took 5 years. Why? Fear rearing its ugly little head in the form of the story I was telling myself that I was waiting for someone to come along and “help” me buy a house. Then one day a place that I wanted to live in became available, under my budget, and with the perfect view. I saw it and cried. There was another offer in at the time and I took it as a sign that I was not supposed to have it I walked away and said to myself, if God had intended for me to have that place, He would have made it available for me. And less than a week later it became available and I got it for less than list price I have now been there a year and a half and I have over $40k in equity I would have never had that equity had I stayed in my fear. Now, I can invest in another property or a business, pay off debt, take a dream solo vacation, or do whatever I want.

FINANCIAL PREPAREDNESS

Building a solid financial foundation is crucial for women who aspire to become homeowners This includes managing personal finances, establishing good credit, and saving for a down payment and other homeownership costs. Creating a budget, reducing debt, and seeking financial advice can help women become financially prepared for homeownership

EDUCATION AND RESOURCES

Access to information and resources about the home buying process is essential for women Attending homeownership workshops, seminars, or counseling sessions can provide valuable insights into mortgage options, legal aspects, and financial considerations. Local housing agencies or nonprofits often offer resources specifically designed for women seeking homeownership.

AS A REALTOR ON A MISSION, MY TIPS FOR WOMEN CONSIDERING HOMEOWNERSHIP INCLUDE:

EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

It is important to address any gender disparities or discrimination that may exist in the housing market Women should have equal access to financing, fair treatment from lenders and real estate professionals, and a level playing field when it comes to purchasing a home. Advocacy for gender equality in housing is crucial to ensure equal opportunities for all

SUPPORT NETWORKS

Women can benefit from building support networks when navigating the homeownership journey This can include connecting with other women who have successfully become homeowners, joining online forums or groups, or seeking guidance from mentors or housing counselors. Sharing experiences and knowledge can provide valuable support and encouragement

HOME MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY

Once women become homeowners, it is important to ensure they have the necessary resources and knowledge to maintain their homes and ensure their safety. Understanding home maintenance, security measures, and emergency preparedness can contribute to a sense of confidence and empowerment as a homeowner

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Homeownership is an ongoing learning process. Encouraging women to stay informed about changes in the housing market, home improvement trends, and legal requirements can help them protect their investment and make informed decisions.

Overall, promoting homeownership for women involves addressing financial preparedness, providing education and resources, advocating for equal opportunities, fostering support networks, and promoting ongoing education.

Lemon Water

YOUR DAILY DOSE OF VITAMIN C AND IMMUNE BOOST

Lemons are a nutritious fruit packed with vitamin C and a host of antioxidants. Studies suggest many health benefits. Consuming lemon water has many benefits, including kicking the digestive system into action, fighting off infections, and boosting the immune system. It’s an easy way to get your daily dose.

Just add the juice of at least half a fresh lemon to a cup of warm water to your morning routine Your immune system and your skin will thank you!

10 IMMUNE BOOSTING AND DAILY HEALTH REASONS TO GET YOUR DAILY DOSE FROM LEMONS

1.

Morning Hydration Kick-start Our bodies need and look for hydration first thing in the morning after a night of sleep and no fluid intake. Water does provide the fluid, but adding lemon provides so many additional benefits. Research shows that warm water kick-starts your digestive system so earlymorning warm water and lemon is a great start to your day.

2.

Immune Boosting The abundance of vitamin C in lemon can provide a powerful immune boost. Lemons also increase electrolytes to help support the immune system

16

Helps the Body Fight Off Infection

Because lemon juice has antibacterial and antiviral components, it’s a great way to fight off infections. This, combined with the immunity boost, helps keep the body ready to fight off infections as soon as they develop. Additionally, lemon can also soothe a sore throat caused by a viral infection.

Helps Soothe Respiratory

Problems

Lemons have antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties that come from vitamin C which may also reduce the severity of colds, allergies, and asthma. The compounds in lemons help ease breathing and calm the respiratory tract due, in part, to the fruit's ability to reduce inflammation and mucus production.

5.

Hydrates the Skin Revitalize your skin. The vitamin C in lemons can protect against free radical damage and nourish your skin By improving hydration, you can prevent or reduce the appearance of wrinkles and keep skin looking smooth. Toxins can speed up the aging process. Lemon water can help flush out those toxins and keep skin looking healthy.

6.

Helps Digestion Drink your morning warm lemon water on an empty stomach. This helps your digestion system and helps to ease constipation. The minerals in lemons stimulate healthy bowel function and bowel movements.

10.

Encourages Help With Weight Loss

The citrus flavor makes lemon water refreshing and appealing to drink. This may encourage people to drink more fluids throughout the day. It curbs the appetite, provides hydration and helps prevent binges on sugary sweets.

Detoxes the Liver Symptoms of excessive toxins include constipation, diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, aches and pains, and even memory loss. Lemons are a friend to the liver and cleanse the body of these damaging toxin invaders.

Reduces Inflammation — Many diseases today are a result of chronic inflammation. Lemon water can help fend off free radicals and inflammatory markers in the blood. Lemon water can also help to ease joint pain and stiffness because it can prevent the buildup of uric acid in the joints.

Daily Boost of Energy Tap Into Vitality with an energizing boost from the refreshing scent of a lemon. It stimulates physiological functions in the body. Keep your mind alert and hydrated throughout the day. The potassium in lemons can help reduce risk of anxiety. Enjoy lemon water as an afternoon healthy pick-me-up.

KAREN MEEKS JOHNSON

DETERMINED TO WIN

Karen is an inspiration! I applaud her determination determination to win…on so many levels in life. She is an example for all women that our age in no way defines or limits us. At the age of 59, Karen won the title of Mrs. California American

It’s crazy to believe Karen and I met over twenty-five years ago (all because we both loved scrapbooking when that was a thing). She has been a champion since we met She has poured herself into all she does whether it’s family, faith, her career in education (which she is retired from), singing, her community and making a difference in so many lives. I am inspired all over again doing this interview and the interview with her on my podcast –Voice of Vitality She will cause you to believe you can truly accomplish anything you desire and dream of

What was your motivation to compete for the title of Mrs. California American that you won in 2022?

I’ve always loved the stage and finding platforms that can display my talents. Although this pageant does not require a talent, I knew that winning a title would open doors for me to use my talent of singing! Of course, soon after winning, I began singing the national anthem at special events, the most notable being the Sacramento Kings vs Los Angeles Lakers game in Sacramento. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with organizations that I’ve passionately worked with in the past, Komen and the National Cancer Society, to help their cause and make a difference in the community

It was also an opportunity for me to compete on a larger scale… I was crowned Miss Black Sacramento in November 1985 the first year of the Sacrament Kings Two wives of the players were judges They requested I sing the National Anthem, which led me to singing the anthem, at least one game for the first 11 seasons.

What has been your biggest/most positive experience you have received from winning Mrs. California American?

The most rewarding thing from this experience has been hearing from others how I’ve encouraged them to go after their dreams. As a woman deep into my 50s, I’ve shown that your body can respond to a sincere effort to be the best fit ever! As a full time professional, wife of 28 years, mother, and a cancer survivor, you can make your dreams come true no matter how long you’ve been trying or have put on hold due to any perceived obstacles. In fact, if you can just see your past attempts not as failures, but as steps to prepare you for your ultimate goals, you will always win!

You are also a recording artist with a gift to sing and perform. When did you discover your musical abilities?

I’ve been singing since I was two years old! My parents were musicians in the church, so I’ve lived my life in music.

22
THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION

music It’s always been in me, and it’s always been a passion of mine

You have been able to perform the National Anthem for many National Basketball Association (NBA) games. What has that felt like to perform in front of such a large crowd?

Singing in front of thousands of people in the stands (and millions on television) feels like I’m doing what I’m meant to do I absolutely love it! I don’t do it enough I absolutely love the opportunity to honor our country and those who have fought for our freedom and rights, so I sing with passionate, reverence and timeliness, because it must be done within 90 seconds for television I’m looking forward to many more televised singing opportunities, and not just the National Anthem.

just let go and let God work His plan for my life. So many times in my life when I finally stopped trying to fix everything myself, everything just fell into place, divinely!

Your music is heartfelt and inspiring and you make such an impact for anyone who listens to your songs? Why did you decide to share your gifts and talents?

You’ve heard the saying, “Use it or lose it”? I don’t take lightly the fact that I’ve been given these gifts of singing and writing. It’s my privilege and honor to use it all to bring glory to God Also, when I’m singing, I feel such freedom and almost a sense of euphoria! If I’m able to spread that emotion and evoke a sense of hope to those who listen, I know I’m doing what I’ve been born to do. That makes me feel beyond grateful!

All that you do requires commitment and dedication. How do you stay focused to achieve all of the goals you set for yourself?

When I consider the greater goal and my purpose and how positively impactful I can be on others, that is my motivation to get it all done. I also consider how blessed I am to have these opportunities that would not have come my way if those before me had not already blazed trails so that I can carry the torch That includes my parents and other leaders in the community.

What do you do to Celebrate YOU and all of the wins you have achieved in your life?

I shop! Lol! I have to admit that I love fashion, so sometimes I’ve got to “reel it in!” After I gather my senses, I set new goals and get right back to work! I love it!

Your most recent album release, Stand Free, is out now. What was the motivation for the songs and the album?

I have gone through so many situations in life that could easily have made me lose my mind. But, I know that God’s grace has kept me, saved me, changed me, and made my life better than I could have dreamed for myself. When my producer presented me with the instrumental track, I “heard” freedom. I felt that in my soul. When I finally sat down to write the lyrics to the track, the words flowed as I recalled the times I had to just

KEEPING DREAMS ALIVE

At age 76, Robin Posmanter is so active with horses and all that is involved, plus she participates in horse shows. It is inspiring for so many women to believe they can do what they love at any age

How long have you been around horses and how/why did you become interested in them and showing?

The first time I saw a horse, either Trigger or Gene Autry’s (American actor/musician/rodeo performer) horse, on our little black and white TV in 1953, I was smitten! That’s all I wanted. I bought every Breyer plastic horse and any horse toy I could get my hands on All my friends had to play horses with me By the time I was seven years old, my parents took me for riding lessons at the Oakland Riding Academy (then owned by the Lorimers). By the time I was 13 years old, my parents were worn down enough to buy me my first horse, ExParte He was a very expensive horse purchased from Barbara Worth, and of course he was a fine show horse. He won every show class I entered in. I didn’t jump him at first because he was so strong but when I learned to jump he did everything except memorize the courses We showed hard until my last year in the junior division When he got too old to show, my parents bought my second horse, Greenbrier, from the Lorimers. He and I were a fierce team and we were Pacific Coast Champion in the hunter division I missed the jumper division by a few points but I was so proud to have done so well

You and your horse need to be a team to win a show. What is it like to be connected with your horse to this extent?

The most wonderful feeling is to know and feel the connection of your horse as a partner. They listen to you, they will try anything for you. There is a silent and bonding connection with your horse when they give you there heart and you become a team I was blessed to have this with many of my show horses and am developing it with my little mare I own now, Cheyenne.

THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION

What inspires and motivates you to continue to stay active with horses and participate in horse shows?

At my age now,76, it is sometimes hard to get out of bed, but I know Cheyenne is waiting for me to feed her and groom her and ride her She enjoys the pampering I provide, and I enjoy giving it to her. She is a good listener and a loving partner. She was a rescue horse and it has taken her a few years to get over her emotional scars. She trusts that I will show up and take care of her She i okay with the days I’m too stiff to ride She is 26 years o but acts like a teenager. Again, I am blessed with a hor who is my spirit partner. Cheyenne seems to love goin in the trailer and showing. She inspires me to kee i i d h i W f d ff h h ’

What life lessons have you learned because of being around horses and competing?

I have learned to be humble. I can’t get a “big head” just because I won one class, because there is the next class and you can't live in the past with horses You have to stay as present as your horse is. If my horse stopped at a fence it was probably because I sat there fat and happy and was thinking about the last fence I jumped. Horses h t b t th l li there They are prey n the present and are . It is so important to

When I showed my Peruvian Pasos we all went in the ring together and there was no time to be nervous Now I show Cowboy Dressage which is a very gentle type of riding. I focus on talking to Cheyenne and tell her what I want. She gets calm with the sound of my voice and I listen to my intensions. My trainer says ride the horse not the course, so it is one hoof fall at a time I focus on making a good entrance and the rest just falls in place

What do you do to Celebrate YOU and your wins?

I celebrate by being grateful I’m thankful every day that after six back surgeries, two hip replacements, one knee replacement and a diagnosis of deteriorating spine, that I can get my foot in the stirrup and win in horse shows and ride whenever I want I am not fighting all my physical setbacks, but I am living with them and taking them along as I do what I please. I am thankful and am grateful every day that I still have a wonderful horse and wonderful friends who love and support me so I can keep living my childhood dream of having a horse

What is your favorite Quote or Mantra you live by?

“I wish, as well as everybody else, to be perfectly happy; but, like everybody else, it must be in my own way ”

CHAMPION FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH

I first became aware of APOPS (Association for Pelvic Organ Prolapse Support) in 2018. Through my own journey, it became apparent the topic and conversation about Pelvic Organ Prolapse were nearly non-existent. I wanted to make a difference and help spread awareness to help other women who are experiencing POP, so I became a member of the Board of Directors for APOPS several years ago. Sherrie Palm is the founder of the nonprofit organization which also has a private Facebook forum with over 24,000 members. Women gain valuable information and much-needed support through the forum. POP is experienced by nearly half of all women and yet so many women don’t even know what it is. If you think you are experiencing any symptoms of POP, please reach out to myself or Sherrie Palm

Sherrie Palm is a Champion for Women’s Health and she has a new book coming out soon. More information and complimentary sections of the book are provided in the links on this page. Please take a look because either you, your sister, your bestie or female coworker are more than likely experiencing POP. You don’t have to suffer in silence.

The Biggest Secret in Women’s Health: Stigma, Indifference, Outrage, and Optimism clarifies the diverse pelvic organ prolapse dynamic, updates the latest in treatment protocol, and takes a deep dive into the POP physical, emotional, social, sexual, fitness, and employment quality of life ramifications Palm’s latest book amplifies the most significant resurgence of women’s health empowerment since the breast health movement of the 1970’s. In 2021, Statistics Times estimated global female population at 3,904,727,342. Research indicates that up to 50% of women teens through end of life will experience POP. Isn't it time we enlighten all women to The Biggest Secret in Women's Health?

MID-YEAR CHECK-IN

Wow, we are already more than halfway through 2023. How are you doing on your goals you set at the beginning of the year? Summer is upon us with nice weather, vacations, self-care practices, perhaps lighter schedules, and fun gatherings with friends and family.

It’s a great time to celebrate what you have accomplished, how you have stayed on track with goals and intentions While celebrating, we can still keep things moving forward. Now is a great time to grab your planner, goal sheets, vision board, vision casting you have created from the complimentary Success Journal (see page 32), markers and pencils, a cup of tea and head to a cozy spot

1.) First, take a look at what you have accomplished since January. Rather than dwelling on what hasn’t been completed yet, focus on what HAS BEEN COMPLETED

2.)Next,Grabacleansheetofpaperandcreate5columns(ormakecopiesofthefollowingpage). Label them: Goal, Completed, IP (for In Progress), NS/R (Not Started/Reassess), New Complete Date

Write the goal in the first column

Put a check mark for your goals in one the next 3 appropriate columns (Completed, IP, NS/R). Set a date of completion/new completion date for the IP column items and mark it in column 5 Spend some time reviewing, praying or considering the items in column 4

You may discover some of your goals you haven’t started on are no longer a goal. Or, you may identify you are procrastinating on starting and this will be a great opportunity to learn why This is where you will benefit from your cozy and quiet time. If after spending time on this you still have the goal as something important to complete, enter the date in column 5.

3)CELEBRATEwhatyouhavecompleted!

Things to consider when setting goals: are they specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and when will you complete them? Do you have the resources you need or do you get to ask for help? Why is the goal important to you? Does the goal fit into an overall goal or objective you want for the year?

This is just a quick overview of how to do a mid-year check-in with yourself It’s better to know you are on track or not than to keep your head in the sand and not pay attention to things that are important. It’s a time to remind ourselves how much we matter and how the things we do matter And, it is a time to celebrate you and your hard work.

For more information and to set up a complimentary 30-minute discovery or strategy session with me, please reach out. I’d love to help you navigate, stay focused, and discover all that you desire for your life

ABOUT MICHELE MODELLAS

a single mother for most of my childhood, except for several years in early elementary school when she was married to a man who was not a good role model and was abusive to her. I witnessed things children shouldn’t. She was strong and brave enough to leave, and she did what she was able to do to provide for my brother and me I'm happy that my mom eventually married and experienced 25 years with the love of her life after such struggling years.

In early years, we lived in quite a few different apartments (some in areas not so great) I was exposed to a diverse group of people and I didn’t know anything different. Some say I could have ended up using those situations as an excuse to not amount to anything or to not have goals for a different life. What I knew was that I needed to work if I wanted more than the basics that my mother worked hard to provide I remember being the babysitter that would take the lower paying jobs; figuring little money was better than no money and I wanted cute school clothes. I remember having to walk miles with my sack of newspapers over my shoulder to deliver papers to my customers at 5 a.m. when my bike was broken one summer. I also had a couple of fast food summer jobs and department store gigs. Even back then, I was determined to do what was necessary to be able to have the things that were important to me and to experience what I knew was out there. I have always had an entrepreneurial drive.

High school years were fun. They were not strugglefree, but I had a lot of great experiences I was in student government, and I was a cheerleader I got married less than two weeks after graduation, and started a family immediately. I always held a job and advanced my career, but I wasn’t satisfied just doing the “9-5 J.O.B.” so I had side jobs and work-from-home ventures selling products and creating various products and programs There really is a job for everything and as a certified consultant for 18 years, I had a business where I taught, consulted, and sold products for breastfeeding mothers. I rented out breast pumps and I taught parent education through hospitals I was on boards of directors for philanthropic organizations. I became a licensed real estate agent. I knew there was more to life than to go to an office and make some-one else’s vision a reality. I knew I had a passion for empowering others to obtain more out of life

In 2005, I resigned from my job, which was a wonderful place to work with great people. I took a risk, and I started a meeting planning, and association management company I began to find more associations who were looking for contracted companies to create meetstressful

ings, conferences, and manage their associations I had always wanted to own my own business, and that was a great opportunity.

In the first year of starting my own company, my world came to a crashing halt In life, there are five most stressful events one can go through; I was facing most of those simultaneously. Within days of my mother passing, my primary client and I parted ways. Shortly after, I decided to make a long-awaited courageous decision to leave a 23+ year marriage And then things got worse I faced the most challenging times of my existence During a 4-year divorce process and losing just about everything, I questioned everything about my life and my purpose. Without going into the ugly details, I finally came to that point where I had to make a decision I chose to live well, to embrace the challenges and then change myself. I literally transformed my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life. I jumped at opportunities for growth, stepping into my discomfort zone, meeting new people, trying new things, travelling the world, and living life on purpose! It didn’t happen overnight, but with determination, I decided not to let life’s challenges stop me from being authentic or true to my convictions I would not live a contented life and allow complacency to continue to have its way with me I began to inspire others to do the same, without even knowing I was. I started speaking to groups and organizations about overcoming challenges, becoming a champion in your life, discovering your purpose, how confidence opens opportunities, how to thrive in business and achieve results, and how having a 3-D formula for life and business sets you apart (to name a few).

I took experiences, skills and talents from my life and my corporate career to further develop my event planning company In addition to coaching and corporate consulting, I started the Global Association for Women in Transformation. As an entrepreneur, I am continuously tapping into opportunities for wealth creation and wealth building I’m passionate about working with clients, meeting them where they are, and empowering them to do the same. They can take their vision and achieve results.

I grew up in Sacramento, CA and was raised by THE WAY OF THE CHAMPION
My venture with the creation of my own nutritional supplement line, Tap Into Vitality, is going well My first product, Vitality, is getting rave reviews and I’ll be adding more products to this line soon.
