Join LSO workshop leaders Vanessa and Maaike plus LSO players to sing, listen, move and groove your way through interactive and creative music sessions. In age-based groups of no more than 15, your child will receive individual attention as well as the chance to interact with other children.

Join our musical circus for the whole family for a chance to meet LSO musicians, try out instruments, take part in a Gamelan workshop and make your own props to use in the concert at the end of the morning.

The LSO has featured on some of the biggest blockbuster soundtracks of all time. Join Paul Rissmann and the Orchestra on a musical journey through spine-tingling, star-blazing scores for the big screen. Featuring the unforgettable sounds of Star Wars, Indiana Jones and many more.

You will get the chance to compose your own movie music alongside members of the LSO as well as making film-themed props to take into the concert.

The Gamelan Group offers sessions for beginners through to experienced players, so anyone can have a go. Tickets £6.50 (£4.50 concessions) per week

Join the LSO and Principal Conductor Valery Gergiev on Sunday 23 September as they rehearse symphonies by Szymanowski and Brahms. In the afternoon, Professor Adrian Thomas will present a lecture on the life and work of Karol Szymanowski, followed by a recital of his chamber works given by LSO players.

On Sunday 25 November the LSO focuses on Mahler. Following a full Orchestra rehearsal conducted by Semyon Bychkov, join us at LSO St Luke’s for a lecture by a visiting expert and chamber music performed by students from the Guildhall School, further to their Mahler masterclass with singer Ian Bostridge (see page 6).
