Growing up, my mother always told me, “You can do anything you want to do.” And I believed her. If I really want to do something, I will give it my all and I believe my life has been be er because of that advice. I don't care who you vote for. As a ma er of fact, I don't want to know. I remember 8 years ago when the debates got started and how much division we had here in the good ole US of A. This is worse! If you really step back and listen to all sides, that's the media, your friends and family and the candidates themselves, you'll no ce something crazy. I mean really step back and pretend you have no dog in the fight. (Don't let Michael Vick see this). You'll no ce both sides are arguing almost the exact same points for their prospec ve candidate. The biggest argument, even from NATO, is that "If so and so gets elected, the country will be ruined". I've actually heard this before. Folks, when will we quit le ng the media and all the poli cal par es play us for fools? We have an independent candidate out there who can't even name any foreign leaders and he's ge ng 1%‐3% of the vote!! We have 2 major candidates who are dividing us more and more. I'm going to answer my own ques on. We'll quit being fools when we decide to. Is the system fixed? Yes.People even resigned over this. Of course they just changed places, no real trouble or accountability. But we keep allowing it.

Here's a quick example. Colin Kaepernick, and now some other players, won't stand during the Na onal Anthem. I agree he has the right to protest the injus ce he sees, but I don't believe in the way he's doing it. Therefore, I'm not watching any 49er's games this year, I don't care if they make it to the Super Bowl (Not going to happen). As more and more of these players refuse to stand, my NFL watching will decrease. I don't really care if I watch it again at this point. That's how we can really make change happen. Let me explain. We should stop dona ng to poli cal campaigns en masse. I know special interest groups will, but they also get their money from somewhere. We can find that out as well and boyco their sponsors. If we were to start hi ng the establishment where it really hurts and demand that the country as a whole is a special interest, then they would be forced to listen and quit was ng our money. Folks, if we make our country the first thing on the list to be fixed, rather than this group or that group, we could all win. Will this happen? Nope, people are too

Pypeline Editing Hello sports fans! (Actually, hello anyone!) With football season star ng up, it’s important to have a game plan on the field, but more importantly, to have a game plan when edi ng your book. The edi ng process seems daun ng— especially a er you have wri en an en re book already—but this step‐by‐step plan will prepare you for tackling the edi ng to‐do list. The Coin Toss: This seems simple, but it is en rely necessary—Spell Check! This is the easiest part of your edi ng process, with only one, small caveat. When you are going through, make sure the words are correct. The Spell Check sugges ons may not always catch errors, or it will suggest incorrect words. Offensive Play: The best defense is a good offense, which is why this step is edi ng content first. There is no point in edi ng for grammar when it is highly possible you will remove whole sec ons, so edit content first to take me off your edi ng game plan. Edi ng content means making sure all elements of your story fit back to the ul mate goal. If there are too many tangents, it may deter readers from the plot.

Editing game plan: How to edit your book Defensive Play: Now we are approaching the gramma cal edit where you will defend your manuscript against misspellings, incorrect words and split infini ves. Take me on this and do not rush. A ny typo can ruin even the most respected novel. Bring in the Quarterback: Even if you are not a card ‐carrying editor, it is s ll vital to go through your book on your own. However, there will come a point when you want a professional opinion. Call in the editors so you can be certain you have had at least another set of eyes on your manuscript to check for plot holes and gramma cal mistakes. All football puns aside, edi ng is a necessary step, one that requires your a en on as much as an editor. Follow the edi ng game plan above and you will have a checklist—be sure to check off each item once you complete it. Pypeline Edi ng focuses on helping authors write and finish books. With Pypeline Edi ng you get book edi ng, SEO/SEM copywri ng and book promo ons. Based in Reno, Nevada, the company provides book edi ng and proofreading services to any writer. Each book receives two book editors for gramma cal fixes and professional insights and advice.
