The Odd Fellows Have Fallen

The Zendo is dimly lit; the monks are on morning Kinhin. My nephew knows now – a silt drop of tea doesn’t matter: The odd fellows have fallen…

Yesterday there was still time, now the meter has run out – Tomorrow the edifice will crumble, and Papa will be silent.

But, for now there is time to drink Green Tea, Talking of Lao Tzu & Buddha, the ole farts, Tripling merrily on the brink of eternity.

On the verge of the Void the frozen landscape is melting, And others will know the pleasures of poetry, The passions of paucity.

Let them not say it has not been difficult… Let them not say it has not been a Joy.
