Activity #1 - ChangeOlogy Challenge • Discuss the Essential Questions. •  Have students imagine they’ve been teleported to the year 2111, and

they are writing a letter to their friends at home, in 2011, about the future. •  Have them describe how the Earth and humans have changed, or

stayed the same. How is life different? What kinds of new technologies exist and what kinds of things are important to these future Earthlings? Encourage students to get creative, get sci-fi, get wacky, get scientific!

have them write down three things that they love about the Earth and their lives now, that they hope still exist in the future. •  Have students share their ideas with the rest of the class, and make

notes on the board of common themes regarding both the present and future lives of people on Earth. ★★ Submit all ChangeOlogy Challenege responses, stories,

newspaper articles, art and videos to KidzEra for possible publication! Be sure to include a submission form with each entry.
