2009 JMU Field Hockey

A Message from the Coach Welcome to JMU Men’s Tennis! I am extremely proud to be the Head Men’s Tennis Coach at my alma mater. This is an exciting time in the history of the tennis program. I look for great accomplishments from the individual competitors and the team as a whole. Simply put, JMU is an awesome place to be! The collegiate years are a time in a person’s life that offers so much growth and development. JMU and the tennis program involve student-athletes in an environment that is perfect for achieving high goals and aspirations. The team at JMU will work diligently to provide each student-athlete with the necessary resources to develop and succeed in the classroom, on the court, and beyond. The team I referred to is more than just studentathletes and coaches. A full support staff comprised of professionals in the areas of academic Schedule September advising, strength and conditioning, 11-13 at Virginia Invitational (split squad) sports medicine, sports media relations and sports 12-13 at Mason Fall Invitational (split squad) psychology help all student-athlete realize and reach their full 18-20 at Georgetown Invitational potential. October The level the JMU tennis team aspires to is the highest. The 2-4 at Old Dominion Invitational coaching staff and support team will prepare all student22-25 at ITA Regional Championship athletes as if they are going to continue onto the professional January level after their collegiate career is finished. Dedication to 22-23 at Virginia Commonwealth* 4+1 Invitational improvement through hard work is a must for every member 30 at Maryland of the program. High-level training in a team environment will February help to raise the level of each individual and the entire program. 6 13 13 19 19 28

I thank you for considering the JMU tennis program for the next step of your tennis development. I hope you give serious consideration to JMU helping you take your game and life to the next level. Sincerely,

March
