TODAY’S JEWISH CAMPERS ARE TOMORROW’S JEWISH LEADERS

71% of national Jewish community young leaders went to Jewish summer camp. That’s why in just one year, our Cleveland community provided camp scholarships and support for 6,700+ young people, locally and globally. We develop the next generation of Jewish leaders.

WE ASPIRE TO LEAVE NO COMMUNITY MEMBER BEHIND, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE OR WHERE THEY LIVE

One in four Israeli youth are considered at-risk. That’s why our Cleveland community invests in intervention and training programs that have given nearly 6,000 children the opportunity to dream about a future they never knew existed. We support Israel.

BUILDING COMMUNITY AROUND THE CORNER AND AROUND THE GLOBE

100,000 Jewish residents live in our sister city of St. Petersburg, Russia, where our Cleveland community works to renew and rebuild Jewish life. That’s why we are pioneering programs that share how we plan for our Jewish future. We ensure a Jewish future.

DO IT FOR TEACHING TOLERANCE AND FOSTERING MUTUAL RESPECT

Two-thirds of religious-based hate crimes target Jews. That’s why we work with our local law enforcement, public officials, leaders of faith-based organizations, and others to speak out for what’s right. We bridge cultural divides.

That’s why we work to build a unified Jewish community through educational programs that blend voices from across our religious spectrum. When we need to be heard loud and strong, all of our voices matter. We build community.

In 2014-15, this funding will come from another source, “Prior Year Collections (PYC).” PYC refers to funds collected for prior years’ campaigns that had originally been reserved as part of shrinkage. The Federation Board of Trustees determined those funds will replace the Endowment Fund supplement to campaign for the next six years. In addition, the Board determined that $220,000 will come from PYC to fund the Maltz Museum.
