PROJECT FACTORY OUR IDEAS FOR FUTURE COOPERATION

Topic: Youth Initiative for Equal Rights - Women rights/human rights/law This idea for this project was initiated by the current issues in Kosovo, concerning public breastfeeding and Law for maternity leave. Many times, we have seen acts of hate speech and bad behaviors towards mothers who breastfeed their kids in public. We want to raise awareness to the public, how it is a normal thing and we should only help mothers and not make it more difficult for them to carry out their role. The second issue we wanted to include in this project is the Law on maternity leave from which benefits the mother of the newborn child, more than the father. As the law says, the father can have up to three days of leave, and more than that only if the mother dies or leaves the baby. Also, women who work in the private sector, many times get fired when they get pregnant, and they do not have the same treatment as those working in the public sector. By awareness campaigns, workshops, videos and more, we want to raise awareness on these two issues, and hopefully change things in our country.

Topic: Civic engagement and food as a catalyst for change Food is a powerful medium and a big part of all cultures, simultaneously it is the basic requirement for human survival. In the context of youth work - it is a concept everyone understands; therefore, Thus, the project - it will allow tackling these issues in a training where 33 youth workers and youngsters will meet to create an awareness, learn particular and practical life skills, as well as get introduced to the potential scenarios for activism. We consider this as a great possibility for pinpointing and then developing a new set of methods / approaches, which consider food and activities connected to food as a catalyst for change in society. Nowadays many public health, society and environmental issues are connected to consumption and food habits, therefore it is important to further explore this aspect in the context of youth work and active sustainable citizenship.

Topic: Green world through creativity Creativity is a powerful tool if we want to make a change and start with the youngest players in the society. Climate change and care for the environment are always in need. How to take care and understand the importance of being environmentally active? WE need to start with our understanding and behaviors and to tackle the issue with creativity, starting from younger age, especially students. This is a long-term project idea for local activities, where each organization make a series of different activities in a certain period, starting with creative writing sessions, cleaning actions, exhibitions, workshops for raising awareness. Very important point here is inclusion of the local community in the activities. With structured dissemination of the results, we can have impact that can turn into a habit for taking more care of the environment.
